Sonder The Sunset

Excellent location, with lots of privacy and wonderful rooms. I was a bit nervous finding earplugs on the bedside table, but the hotel itself is very soundproof. Maybe it’s for those travelling that are not used to “city noise” which was never a bother. Great space, loved the kitchen that had everything we needed, a bit of a small bathroom but clean. Bedroom was comfy and lots of storage/closet space. We stayed for a week, and there wasn’t someone at the desk on duty a lot, but you can always access someone in the chat. Everyone we did encounter was very helpful. The addition of a laundry room helps a lot for extended stay travellers. Loved the location it was close to the beach, Marina, bridges off Peninsula and downtown. Parking lot was gated for added security. Wish it wasn’t $20/hour for early check In and late check out though, as we needed to do both, so it cost an extra $120.

My stay at Sonder The Sunset was absolutely fantastic! It is the 2nd time that I have used this chain and it is my favorite (the other one I used was in Los Angeles, Sonder Found). The people were attentive and helpful. The facilities were clean, beautiful and well set up. Having a washer/dryer in the building was so helpful. It was easy to get supplies as needed. It was central and very convenient. In general, the staff went out of its way to help with directions, local recommendations and assistance with transportation. Definitely will recommend and use again!

We stayed here for a week, 2 adults and 2 teens. Perfect location, walking distance to anywhere in a safe neighborhood, gated private parking. The staff was always available and super nice, even over the holidays! We stayed on the 8th floor and the room was perfect. Kitchen with everything we needed for our stay. The website doesn’t say it, but at the ground level there is a small coin operated laundry room and you can get laundry essentials at the lobby. There are also free umbrellas to borrow at the lobby for those rainy days. Overall would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family!

My second time staying here, with a few years between visits. The apartment style accommodation suits our needs. There are good travel links close by, and the apartments are spacious with all the amenities you would expect within them. I particularly like the key codes provided before you stay as we had a late check-in. The use of WhatsApp to deal with a couple of minor queries once we had arrived was very responsive. I will be back. The photo is a night view from the sixth floor overlooking the entrance.

Great location and a great place to stay in Vancouver if you aren’t in need of traditional hotel amenities. Walking distance to most places in the downtown core. Large space with a kitchen and balcony. Very clean, great coffee setup. Super easy check in and out. Exceptional value!

The room was very clean and bright. Had a well stocked kitchen and a very cozy bed with all the pillows you need. The balcony had a beautiful view of false creek. We got all the information for check in before arrival which made checking in very easy. Easy to walk to or get picked up out front by a ride share. Bus stops close by as well.

Staff and room size are great. Everything works (TV, microwave, etc), with basic necessities included. While renovations seem to be ongoing (new carpet throughout while I was there), it could use more renovations (rooms and bathroom have lower-quality doors, fixtures, and probably a quick re-paint over everything years ago), and 2) they started repairs at 8:30, if that’s too early for you be aware. Would stay here again if I had to, but will look elsewhere first.

Amazing pillows and mattress as always. The mobile keys worked perfectly everytime. The kitchen was equipped pretty well which made things easy for toddlers needs. The location is also amazing, there were nunerous restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores just a street away.
