Sonesta ES Suites Fresno

Family and I stayed in a two bedroom suite and were very pleased with the size, space, well-equipped kitchen and comfort of beds and bathrooms. No complaints at all there! We had children with us and found the pool fun and refreshing. Unfortunately no pool towels, but they did swap out our room towels that we used. We were concerned we came in two cars, but had no problem with two free parking passes. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly and every desk clerk we interacted was friendly and professional. We met four different people at the front desk over two days, but each one was great. Finally, the breakfast buffet was wonderful. Very well stocked with hot and cold items, fresh coffee, a variety of teas, delicious bagels and muffins, and a cool little self-making pancake maker that works with just a wave of your hand. Plenty of space to eat. Very clean. Laura and Carrie who welcome you in and stock everything were great. Thank you all!

Peaceful Stay with Great Service and Comfort We had a lovely stay at Sonesta ES Suites! One of the highlights was the peaceful lake tucked behind the property — such a relaxing view to wake up to. The location is also super convenient, close to tons of shopping and dining options, which made everything really easy. We stayed in a two-room suite, and it was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The space felt homey, which is exactly what we were hoping for. I will say the hallways could’ve used a little extra attention in terms of cleanliness, but that was minor compared to the overall experience. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise — fresh, hot, and served in a clean space. Carrie and Laura were truly fantastic! They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to feel right at home. All in all, we’d absolutely stay here again!

This hotel is really nice! Our room felt like a cute little one-bedroom apartment—it even had a door separating the bedroom. They also have a free breakfast area, and my favorite part was the pancake machine. It makes pancakes on its own, and I’ve never seen anything like it! The staff were amazing—Carrie and Laura were especially kind and super attentive. Would definitely stay here again!

Came to town to visit my husband while he’s away for work and the staff is amazing. Very nice and welcoming. The suite is nice and comforting, love the kitchen amenities. Breakfast was a hit, the kids loved the sausages and pancakes. The selection of food was great and the area around the food was always so well kept.

First of all, I am amazed by the incredible staff, I want to highlight Clark ( hope I’m getting his name right, he wears a black hat) he was so thoughtful and offered us support when we needed it. Also, I want to highlight Carrie and Laura from the kitchen who made me feel at home and cooked delicious breakfast and even offered me a to go cup when I was leaving. The suite was lovely, I just gave it 4 stars since the light was bright, wish they had black out curtains, also there was a small ac water leak, other than that the space was super outstanding. Lots of room for the kitchen, couch - pull out bed, and spacious suite. The area was also next to lots of restaurants and nearby stores for quick runs. Breakfast at the suites is like I never before seen pancakes made fresh for you in a cool machine, build your own breakfast burritos with fresh foods and tons of options. I was so happy!!!!! Definitely recommend , felt safe here. There is also a hot tub and pool, cute fire pit and game area.

I often stay here because the rooms are very nice and clean. Their staff is kind, professional and so welcoming Tamara. I enjoy the breakfast there Carrie and Laura part of the kitchen staff are always welcoming and so friendly their added hospitality is also another reason why may stay was such a great place

Great customer service and service. They have great rooms with kitchenettes and full size refrigerators. Their thermostat has a sensor , but all you have to do is call the front desk and then turn it off. So, you're not waking up in sweat.They have a great breakfast cook, you're find my favorite person with a great personality Carrie greeting you with a smile and making you laugh in the morning.

This hotel is an exceptional choice for families. After staying here frequently for over a year, I always feel safe and welcomed. The check-in process is seamless. The spacious rooms, enough amenities, and delicious food make for a comfortable stay. What truly sets this hotel apart are the staff members. Dean is a standout personality; his warm welcome and friendly demeanor make you feel right at home. His commitment to customer care is evident, as he goes above and beyond to ensure that every guests are comfortable. Carrie is another gem of the hotel staff, very kind and always willing to help and adding a personal touch that enhances the experience.

My house flooded and while being fixed, I've been an extended guest at the hotel. The room is very very clean and comfortable with ALL the amenities, the front desk guy (Derek) is very nice and helpful, and special mention to the breakfast ladies, Carrie and Laura, who make sure breakfast is a little different everyday (a BIG thing when you're here for many days) and always fresh and good. They say hello every morning and make sure to take care of our little special needs. THANK YOU!!

As a road warrior finding a nice place to rest your head is so important. I've been staying at Sonesta in Fresno and I must tell you, what a great place. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very comfortable and clean as well. Laura and Carrie make a great breakfast and just as friendly as you can be! I'll definitely stay here in the future.

We loved this place, rooms are clean and modern and we had a studio which was nice so we had a couple people over for drinks and snacks. The breakfast was out of this world and the women who worked the service there, Carrie and Laura were so kind and hospitable. They came to us and asked if they could bring us anything else and kept everything clean and running so well. Parking was easy and the area was safe. Highly recommend

My favorite part of our two nights here at Sonesta ES was Saturday breakfast! Everything was always hot and kept stocked. The two women who were seemingly in charge of the food and guests were SO helpful and kind. The food was really good, too. Thank you, Carrie and Laura! for you both! I would love to give this hotel itself five stars, but I must give four for a couple of reasons: the fold out couch/bed was super uncomfortable, and several dishes in the cupboard were dirty. I was hoping for a quality mattress, since I saw no rooms offered with two queen sized beds. The foldout mattress, however, was thin, and springs were very apparent. I looked everywhere for a pillow top or memory foam, but there wasn't anything. I tossed and turned all night, with head and feet much higher than my body. I certainly hope the hotel will add a mattress topper in the future, as it would have changed my experience for the better (and not necessitated my bringing a twin topper from my mother's house foe the next night). We had a roomy kitchen area, though some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty. I didn't look at all of them, but two cups had dried {coffee?} at the bottom of the cups and one glass had lipstick. There was a nice counter for sitting and eating or reading And a long desk with lamps also. The rooms had many outlets s in convenient places, including USB ports: The bathroom was great, with a separate sink and mirror area. The queen bed was comfortable. The front desk staff on 1/9/25 upgraded us at no charge to a one bedroom rather than the one room I had inadvertently booked. to the front desk staff!!

We stayed at the Sonesta suites ES in Fresno this past weekend for our Daughters wedding. The kitchen staff Carrie and Laurie were amazing! Rooms are spacious, kitchen area was a pleasant surprise and the staff here is very helpful and friendly. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff to the maintenance man to Carrie and Laura at breakfast, were all so attentive. I would highly recommend this place.

Thank you Carrie and Laura for a wonderful breakfast each morning. Great set up, organized, nice variety of food options (some standard staples, but each day the hot items are a little different and helps to break up the breakfast monotony), coffee, teas, milk options, some GF options, and I loved the instant pancake maker! Pancakes are a perfect size for both kids and adults, light, fluffy, and great taste, best of all, no mess! To-go containers are available for easy transport back to your room, but there's also plenty of seats and tables if you choose to stay in the lobby, which is quiet and spacious. If you need a spot w/breakfast, this Sonesta location should definitely be on your list. Especially if you're in a time crunch, save yourself the extra time of prepping a breakfast meal, because these ladies do a great job to help get your day started :)

Just spent a day here and wow, it's definitely a gem, the fire pit and everything about the place was lovely, wish the gym was a little bit cleaner and had more cable equipment. Cal and Carrie did amazing with breakfast, so delicious, and Cal helped us out a bunch with our requests!

I was in town for a funeral several weeks ago. Everyone there made my stay easier. From the clerk who checked me in on a dark and rainy evening (Derek?) to Carrie and Laura who worked the breakfast areas like pros. Thank you for your service and hospitality (lady in the purple dress).

This has to be my favorite hotel in the Fresno area. They have the best staff, nice big and clean rooms, great amenities and overall it feels like home. From check in to check out they really make your stay worthwhile Derek and Tamara have been so helpful with my check-in as they are really informative and they accommodate almost any request. The breakfast is by far the best hotel fare I have had in the area. Carrie and Laura are really sweet and super helpful! I love a good pancake and the food is always great! Even the housekeeping staff is great Josie was super friendly and patient with me. Do yourself a favor and stay here whether it's work leisure or just a pit stop it worth it.

The Room was clean linens are nice. The water could be a little hotter. Wi-Fi was hit or miss. The gym was good. The best was the Breakfast. It was clean well stocked food was good. Kudos to Carrie and Laura for breakfast. Makes a good start for each day. Overall I had very good stay.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are good size. Since I've been there a couple of times, the place was clean but I always bring Lysol just in case. The morning breakfast gets the job done and has the usual such as pancakes, sausages, eggs, and different cereals, oats and fruit. The front desk service has always been helpful and nothing but kind even when we checked in later but we also let them in know in advance and they were cool with it. Overall, it's the only place I stay at when I come to Fresno!

Staying at the Sonesta ES suites has been a very sweet experience. The rooms are very clean and tidy. They offer all the amenities needed for a good work week. The breakfast is very extensive. The staff there at the kitchen Carrie and Laura made my mornings!! They made sure I was well fed and taken care of with every detail taken care of. They have fresh coffee brewed all day and they make a different breakfast menu daily. The front desk staff was attentive especially Britany. She made sure I was content and that my stay went well.

Came upon this hotel while searching for a place to stay near the Selland Arena. Despite the slightly higher price compared to some nearby options and the event's host hotel, it ended up being a convenient and comfortable choice. Pros: - The lobby was clean and nicely furnished. - The breakfast selection was enjoyable. As a coffee lover, I especially liked that they had flavored creamer. - The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. - The hotel's location was convenient, easy access to a great Italian restaurant (Angela's), market, and gas station. - Full kitchen with dishes, soap, and a dishwasher was a plus. Cons: - The jacuzzi was out of order. - While the hotel advertises as pet-friendly, we were not aware that EVERY room allowed pets. This was an issue when our initial room was filled with dog hair, triggering allergies for my husband and I. However, the staff promptly addressed our concerns and relocated us to a freshly cleaned room. - The street entrance doors and hallway to the elevators are in much need of paint/ maintenance. Regardless of these minor setbacks, the hotel's amenities and staff ensured a pleasant stay overall.

This is a hidden gem! I was quite surprised with the grounds and my room. It's actually much nicer than some of the long stay Hiltons and Marriotts. The staff is experienced and it shows. Derrick, Tamara and Jennifer made sure everything was top notch for me. I want to thank all of the staff, especially Cody the Manager, for helping me in an emergency due to a Vrbo false advertisement. My family, to include a 4 year old, had a blast. The pool was just clean and perfect. The breakfast is stellar. I will be coming back very soon! By the way, I stayed in their lovely 2 bedroom. All TV's were smart. It was like staying in an apartment with all necessary dishes, cookware, etc.

Had a great weekend stay in Fresno. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Laurie and Carrie did a fantastic job with breakfast - the food was delicious and plentiful. I appreciated their hospitality and would definitely recommend others coming here!

I had a last minute change with my trip and had to change hotels. I'm so glad I went with Sonesta. I was greeted by a beautiful woman at the front desk with short hair with a touch a blue in it (forgot to get her name) She was very nice. In the breakfast area, the hosts Carrie & Cal were amazing. They were attentive and very polite. The area was well cleaned and my children really enjoyed breakfast. I will definitely be back for another stay and will recommend to family and friends.

I love staying at Sonesta Suites. Breakfast was amazing. Carrie and Laura did such a great job. I'm definitely coming back not just for how amazing the staff was but especially for the breakfast. And it's free! What more could you ask for?

I've stayed here weekly (for work) since October 2024. Derek at the front desk became a fast friend and knows me by name when I walk in. He remembers my preferences and always tries to get me a room in the location where I like to be. I look forward to seeing him and Cal every week when I check in. Rooms are clean and comfy. Every room I've stayed in has had a comfortable bed, which is unusual for hotels. Carrie always greets me at breakfast, and she and Laura always have a great breakfast ready. One time I was running late for work and needed coffee, but the carafe was empty. Carrie told me she was brewing some fresh in the kitchen, and she took my cup and went back into the kitchen and got me some of the fresh coffee that was still in the process of brewing! Now THAT is great service!!

This hotel is perfect for seeing family in town - rooms are big, clean, and affordable. The front desk was nice and helpful when we checked in late. Every day at the provided breakfast we had excellent service from Carrie! Thank you

This business is not worth staying at. I have stayed here for work MANY times and it's gone way down hill. A few weeks ago I stayed in room 130 and my dogs came home with fleas. They get flea medication so this shouldn't happen. One of my dogs is super allergic and he was chewing on himself for days. The fleas will die shortly after they bite the dogs but they lay fleas. I stayed there again last week for work. I was in room 136 - a different room. This time I found fleas and ticks on my dogs. I had just medicated them right before the stay. Second, there was leftover food in the fridge and a crusty towel doves in a drawer which were totally gross. Third, I cleaned my dishes after use and loaded them into the dishwasher. When I ran the dishwasher, it totally backed up into the sink with foul brown fluid. It had to be sewage. SO GROSS!!!' I told the staff about these problems before I left. When I got home there were charges for over $200 for the pet fee charged to my bank account. I thought about it a lot. My dogs are t destructive, don't chew and I put down potty pads just in case I get stuck at work to preserve their floor. I called and asked for that fee to be reimbursed because my dogs caused no damage and the room was so gross. Additionally, the outside of the property has dog poop all over the place. They have stations with dog poop bags but people don't pick up after their dogs and neither does the hotel. There is dog crap everywhere. I even picked up some poop from dogs that weren't mine! Lastly, on the last two stays, the hotel charged my personal card instead of the business card. This caused overdrafts in my bank account and fees. On both stays I had to have this fixed because they took out more than $1K from my checking account that I wasn't expecting. I asked to speak to a manager. The person I spoke to on the phone put me on hold and spoke to the manager when I was on hold and denied my reimbursement request. I asked for the manager to call me back today and she said he wasn't available for 4 days due to meetings. Four days to talk to a manager is unacceptable - especially after the lousy stay. Plus, they say there is no smoking in the hotel and it seems like other occupants smoke pot in their rooms continuously. When you walk in the walkway, it's weed central. And I'm sure those folks aren't getting charged for the smoking fee!

Probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in... stayed in a 2 room suite for a college trip with some classmates, and the rooms are very clean, organzied, spacious and overall just a very homely and comfortable resting environment. The breakfast there is pretty decent, and the food is always hot. To our servers Carrie and Laura, thank you for taking care of us for all of our needs, and providing enough food for all of my professors and classmates. You have all of our gratitude!

The chorizo was delicious. The breakfast was amazing!! Carrie and Laura were so awesome and friendly. The food was great and they were so helpful! I would stay at this hotel again just for the breakfast.

I always seek out Sonesta Suites when traveling for work. The Fresno location has been one of the nicer. I enjoy being greeting by Carrie at breakfast, she is on top it and makes sure we always have a fresh hot breakfast.

Sonesta is a well organized and quite clean hotel. The amenities and the overall hotel room were really nice and spacious. I had a wonderful stay here. The customer service was spectacular! The front desk person Paul, Carrie, and Cal were all very helpful staff. The food was much better than my previous stays this, and I would return again!

Went down to grab some of my free breakfast this morning and I was pleasantly surprised to find so many options. Looking around and trying to find out where to start, I met CAL. This man was on it and very informative. I even spilt some creamer accidentally and he jumped on it right away. Most of the places I've stayed at are not on top it like this guy. So it was very refreshing. Thank you cal! Eggs were great.

During a work assignment in the area, I've stayed here at the Sonesta ES Suites in Fresno week after week and have had the best experience. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I do want to give a shout out to Carrie, she works in the kitchen staff. She always goes above and beyond. Every morning when I come down for breakfast she greets me with a warm smile, and a good morning. After the first morning of me asking for ice to fill my water cup for the work day, I was surprised one day when I didn't ask, and she remembered and said "No ice today?" It's the little things like that, that will make your whole day. She is truly such a blessing to see a friendly face early in the morning and is a very hard working employee!

We are frequent guests and love the rooms, friendly and helpful front-desks (Dean), plus yummy and attentive breakfast staff (Carrie & Cal).

Don't allow the location of this centralized Fresno Gem to fool you. I'm a recently retired Fresno Police Officer who transplanted to the State of Nevada after spending 28 years working the streets of Fresno as a public servant. One of the things I immediately noticed was how the staff ensured the safety of my family and other patrons of this establishment. The management and staff don't allow anyone within this establishment without having identification or a key card into the rooms or lobby area. This is an important luxury most hotels don't ensure but this establishment is amazing. You are treated to an all-you-can-eat breakfast assembly from 7 am to 10 am. While I was sitting with this family, I saw this man who seemed to be in a rush verbally attack a Kitchen Staff employee Carrie for not allowing him to eat after 10 am. The hours of service for the food area are visible throughout the lobby area. Once this man realized Carrie was a professional woman he began to act like a spoiled brat who wanted a toy within a store with a parent. This man asked Carrie what race was and she must not be from Fresno. I thought originally I was going to have to step in due to this man trying to verbally bully her. Carrie stood firmly and politely like Sheriff Busey from the movie Walking Tall not phased by this spoiled brat. After the man figured he wasn't going to have his way like Burger King, I spoke with Carrie and Tamara telling them both how I appreciated being home and seeing the "Secret Service" diligently de-escalate a situation that could easily get out of control.

I love Carrie and Cal and their food was delicious and their service was exceptional.

This was one of the cleanest hotels that I have been to and we went to 5 different hotels this trip. I saw multiple people cleaning everything very well. My only complaint is that one of the kitchen people for breakfast was a bit grumpy. I understood that it was 10:00, which was the time breakfast closed. However, they let one person get some food still and so I also asked to get a bagel. I thought it was unfair they let one person get something but not me. That's one of the only complaints I had. Otherwise this is a good hotel.

I've been staying here for the last 4 years regularly for work The staff is simply incredible. They remember me and cater to my preferred rooms. Appreciate the team at the reception. Special shoutout to the ladies who handle the breakfast area, Laurie and Carrie . They do an incredible job with keeping the area organized, refilling what's needed and being hospitable. It's always good to be around people who are pleasant and have good energy. I appreciate them for bringing me a smile early at breakfast.

We absolutely love staying here! My family and I meet here every few months. I live in Orange County and they live in Sacramento so it's a great middle spot to meet! Our favorite part is the breakfast. So many options. Carry and Laura do such an amazing job. The food is great, and they also take time to talk to us and get to know us. 5 stars!!

Stayed here this past weekend for a 50 high school reunion and was very pleased. The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful in every way. The room was clean and a large one bedroom with a kitchen and large refrigerator. Our only complaint was the mattress on the queen size bed was too hard for us side sleepers, but the room was quiet and pleasant otherwise--two televisions! If the mattress had been a bit more comfortable, this would be a full five star!

After a long drive from southern California, based on some thorough (and awesome) Yelp reviews, I booked a room at the Sonesta ES Suites Fresno. After being quickly checked in by the front desk clerk, I made my way to my room. When I opened the door, I immediately regretted the fact that I was checking in so late into the night, and that I would only be staying there for one night. This was not your average suite, it was a suite on creatine and a high protein diet (not steroids)! The kitchen was spacious with the materials needed to cook a homemade meal, something that I'm sure appeals to those who are looking to save money by preparing their own food. The "living room" had a large television with a work desk (for us folks that work remotely), a sofa with a pull-out bed (for those friends that are so drunk that they can't safely crawl back to their respective rooms), a bedroom with a large television, and a spacious bathroom. To top it off, you couldn't hear a peep of noise from outside of the room (superb insulation)! The next day I woke up well-rested and ready to make the 2.5 hour drive home to Sacramento. Next time I will check-in at an earlier time so that I can make use of the spacious room and the establishments overall amenities. Thank you Sonesta ES Suites Fresno!

Stayed at this hotel a month ago and was charged for my room and my fathers' when both rooms were booked separately and 'paid for' using different cards. I allowed the front desk to charge my card for the deposit for both rooms and they refused to give me a receipt as it was an authorization and not a charge. Instead at check-out (at separate times) my card was charged for both rooms. Why collect credit card information during booking then charge the wrong card during the visit? The answer is, incompetent workers. They had to check in three parties during my visit and the front desk said "this is the most work I've ever done". Embarrassing. Check your statements to ensure accurate charge to the room.

Stylish, clean, affordable! I really enjoyed my stay at Sonesta. The suite is very clean and the layout is of a modern apartment which really makes me feel like I'm on vacation. The walls AREN'T thin either! I can't hear next door unless I'm right outside their door. There's access to the pool and basketball court along with a good lakeside view. Services at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and nice! Loved how easy it was to get a room checked in and out. At this point, I can only nitpick. The bluetooth on the TV doesn't work well and is very choppy. The toilet has a half flush and full flush option but only the full flush option worked for my toilet. Would definitely had been a 5/5 had everything been functional but still highly recommended!

Mr.Derek at the front desk is extremely professional, polished, charismatic, and organized. We had a lovely conversation upon check in and he provided excellent customer service. Mr. Derek KNOWS the hospitality industry! The hotel is very clean, our suite is large and immaculate. I highly recommend the Sonesta Suite Fresno, and I would definitely stay @ the Sonesta Suites next time. Wonderful!

This little place is affordable and elegant, it is tucked away near the freeway and FSU Campus and elks lodge , dog friendly. Pleasantly surprised

Front desk lead Derek practices the most amazing customer service i've ever experienced. He was so helpful and responsive as well as welcoming and willing to help with most everything i needed help with. I will definitely be coming back just to see him. The hotel is extremely beautiful as well. 10/10.

There is underwear in the couch when you pull the bed out the bed is also brown on the end and is disgusting. There also seems to be a liquid that appears the be cum on the couch cushions don't recommend
