Sonesta Hotel El Olivar

This is my third stay at the Sonesta in Lima. I stayed 10 dias at this hotel. Location! Location! The hotel faces a park (El Olivar) in a quiet place of San Isidro, walking distance ( 2 blocks to Conquistadores) to good restaurants, cafes and bakeries. 15' ride or 5 miles ($7 Uber) ride to noisy Miraflores with more restaurants to explore. Rooms are comfortable, soft beds and AC that works!. The daily breakfast at the restaurant is fenomenal wiht different choices everyday, fresh everything. Excellent value for the money. Above all, the customer services is unbeatable. From the moment you arrive, it is all about you! The entire hotel staff was very attentive, Milagros at the front desk went out of her way to help me extend my stay from 5 to 10 days when the hotel was fully booked for an international soccer tournament. Jorge at the restaurant, accomodated my dietary breakfast restrictions. What makes this hotel special is their people. Will go back next time I stay in Lima, Peru!

We stayed here during our peru tour. This is very nice hotel with excellent breakfast. Staff is helpful. We have dinner here with a group and was nice too. The major weakness of the hotel is “noise”. We had to change the room since room has a very strong sound from the system and also from the A/C engines where is located out of the building. Since sound isolation is very weak it was also very disturbing . They changed the room and give much smaller room and claimed that that is sound proof room but unfortunately because if poor isolation of the windows we have to use ear plugs to cut the noise.

This hotel has the best service I have seen in a long time. All staff, no matter the role, were always friendly and prompt. The restaurant had a fantastic lunch. The rooms and common areas were perfectly clean. At reception they had water, tea and cookies. The hotel is located on front of a beautiful park where all trees are olive trees. They are centenary and wonderful! The neighborhood is upscale residential but still has a bit of shops and restaurants. It’s a small walk to great local restaurants.

Blown away by the hospitality in this hotel. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make for an unforgettable experience. Special shout out to Francisco in the front who got us masseuse to our rooms on the fly and had bfast boxes ready for us when we were on the move. Hans and Ronald are fabulous behind the bar. They had my michelada mix ready for me daily. The daily room service was impeccable and the showers were so big with very hot water. I highly recommend this hotel

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We did not expect such luxury!! We felt out of place coming straight there from the amazon, all sweaty in our thongs and shorts after a midnight flight 😅 to be greeted by tuxedo wearing staff who were extremely friendly and inviting! The room was stunning, very large room, bed and bathroom with a nice balcony/ courtyard type area. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever had!! We did not want to leave it. Shower worked very well. It was a great place to finish our stay in peru. Situated in a nice area with some lovely restaurants close by. Breakfast was brilliant. Can't fault this place, my only wish is that we booked to stay there longer and enjoy the luxury of this place.

The incredibly friendly and attentive staff, incredibly delicious breakfast and dinner (huge portions, beware!) comfy huge beds and enormous rooms, quiet, welcoming. Great gym, what’s not to like? We loved it and will be back for the end of our stay.

Perfect place to visit Lima. Went to visit downtown in the morning. Roberto was super helpful to arrange a taxi for us. In the afternoon and evening we visited Miraflores by foot and never felt unsafe.
