This hotel is undergoing major, noisy renovations that should be clearly advertised.
The noise (banging, loud tools) impacts relaxation, particularly at the pool area and during the afternoons.
Great Service:
• The staff is outstanding. Basma (Reception) is exceptionally professional and welcoming (she should be promoted) along with Myrna and Cathrine who were very helpful. Haney (Travel Desk) is highly recommended for booking tours, he’s such a great help.
• Housekeeping is excellent, maintaining a very clean hotel. The restaurant's morning team is great & professional.
. If you need a taxi, look for Samir he’s the best & wont over charge you.
Rooms
• Our initial room was substandard for the price we paid (broken lock, leaking bathroom, the ac unit has no numbers, broken hairdryer).
• We were awakened on 3rd day by renovation noise (shaking walls, drilling, yelling), leading to a complimentary room upgrade and dinner.
• The upgraded room, while renovated, still had issues (leaking shower, unstable beds).
• A complimentary dinner as an apology turned into a negative experience when staff chased us to sign a the bill (4000+) they said “ we only need your signature “
Upon checkout at 6 am the front desk tried to charge us , requiring a lengthy explanation of the whole situation of who said what & we were offered this dinner. The evening restaurant staff service was poor.
