We had breakfast at Song & Hearth this morning (6/17/24). We had the dinner buffet here last year and enjoyed it--we were sad that it is a family style restaurant now, but tried the breakfast buffet this morning.
Honestly, everything was good, but everything was also cold by the time we got from the buffet line to the table. That's the only reason we didn't give a 5 star review.
The buffet featured a little bit of everything from fruit to an omelet station. The kids enjoyed the funnel cake waffles with whipped cream and sprinkles and the donuts the best. The adults loved the bacon--perfectly cooked so the meaty part was crispy and the fatty part was cooked but still melted in your mouth.
When we made our reservation, we couldn't make a reservation for a party of 11, so we made 2 separate reservations (one for 5, the other for 6), knowing we might not be able to sit together. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we were able to sit together.
Our server, Lani, was awesome. She got our drinks, kept sure they were full, cleared plates, and was just on top of it. When she overheard us singing happy birthday to one of the kids in the group, she asked whose birthday it was, and brought a frosted muffin with "Happy Birthday" written in frosting and sprinkles on the plate toward the end of the meal. That small gesture made a little girl's day!
