The Villa was great with spa on balcony. The food was sensational. But the staff really set Songbirds apart from the rest. Amazing service, so helpful. So accommodating. Chef Deb and Manager Deb were genuinely caring people that made our wedding reception and stay something so special it could not have been any better. Thank you so much from the Wilson's ❤️🙏🏻

Photos do no justice. The ambiance and atmosphere this place brings is soulful. We will definitely be staying here again and recommend to couples looking to unwind and escape. The hospitality was 10/10 and the llamas and goats were a great experience to feed. Thank you Songbirds :)

Had a fabulous weekend away with friends. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Executive Villa which was well-designed and perfect for sharing. We requested the two king size beds to be split into 4 x singles so everyone had their own space. Everything was set up ready when we arrived, and Debbie was so welcoming when we checked in. We spent the afternoon on the huge veranda surrounded by rainforest, relaxing with wine, cheese and good company. Then a couple of minutes walk through the rainforest following a pathway lit with lights, across a picturesque foot bridge to the on-site restaurant. We had a beautiful dinner (the seafood chowder was the best!). Back to the villa, drinks and laughs in front of the fireplace then off to sleep in the serenity of the rainforest (definitely didn’t miss the snoring from our husbands haha!). Next morning such a beautiful surprise, Debbie arrived in a buggy to deliver two complimentary breakfast baskets. The homemade frittata and banana bread was still warm and delicious. We created some lovely memories and thought it was the perfect stay. Thank you!

Had the most relaxing time at Songbirds. The staff were extremely friendly, warm and very welcoming. The rooms were spotless, and the bed was the softest bed I have ever slept in. Loved the cooked beautiful breakfast that came with the room stay and we cannot wait to come back.

I have nothing but praises for Songbirds Bush Retreat and the restaurant. It’s a great place to relax, get away and enjoy the beautiful nature of the rainforest The Beautiful Lady Chef was so awesome and opened up the restaurant for me and my friend just for my birthday. Masseuse comes to your villa and she too is simply amazing Will be coming again and probably again Thank you to all at Songbirds

The property is run down. The entrance is via a steep 4WD style road.|Not well signposted- easy to miss the entrance.|The roads within the property are loose gravel. We couldn't drive our car to the villa-|parked about 150 metres away, and carted our luggage to the villa.| At night, no lighting from the villa to our car.|| The breakfast delivered to the villa at 8.45 am- no earlier- was deplorable and overpriced. Small containers of corn flakes- emptied from a larger container,|some fruit, small pieces of bacon, wrapped in waxed baking paper, a couple of crumpets, and juice that had been emptied from a larger container- unlabelled.|Coffee- make it yourself in the villa. The breakfast was totally inadequate for two people.|There only seemed to be one woman working there- service is limited.| The room was clean and tidy.| In view of our experience, we won't be going back there, it's overpriced ,and we wouldn't recommend it-

We had a great stay at Songbirds, Debbie at reception was very pleasant to deal with. We had a an issue with our booking regarding a couples massage that was missed by the team but we got through in the end and had it resolved. The location is secluded in a fabulous rain forest with cabins overlooking the forestry. The cabin itself is no first class and is tired and in need of investment renovation but putting that aside and taking in the surrounding of nature should outweigh the tired furnishings. Is the room worth the high cost? I don’t believe so it could be reduced but for us it was the experience rather than complain, we took it at face value and the experience. The gas fireplace was fabulous to lay on the bed looking out at the darkness with a beautiful light of a fire. The bathtub and bathroom were no fabulous marble or sparkling taps but again it served its purpose even if the bath does soak the entire bathroom but it was a giggle and a moment to remember for us. A short walk enters into the indoor outdoor restaurant setting with a wood fire located conveniently in the centre. After being seated and browsing through the menu we kept it simple with the pulled pork burger and a cheese burger along with the cheesy cob for starters. The food was that of a modern restaurant perfect for those like us who doesn’t enjoy fine dining. The staff at the restaurant may appear be inexperienced but they still delivered a pleasant dining for us. They may have an inappropriate whiteboard at the entrance to their kitchen and appear to be unhygienic but it made it part of the experience that was a giggle. As mentioned we booked the couples massage that unfortunately was forgotten but rearranged for the next day. Unfortunately they only had one masseuse available so we had to go separately thanks to reception for the late check out complimentary to give us the time to make this possible. The massage in itself was of an average massage I believe the masseuse is contracted externally but she was very pleasant to us and we found the massage okay to relax to for an hour. The breakfast basket arrived to our room soon after 08:30, it arrived in a cute basket with a few options inside. The croissants were warm and fresh resulting in a delicious eat. Fresh fruit with vanilla yogurt and fresh orange juice was complimented of the choice. Our overall experience was enjoyable cosy and perfect for a young couple with no expectation of above and beyond. We enjoyed our experience at songbirds and would consider returning in the future. Hopefully the management will invest is such a fabulous setting to see the long success of this establishment. Thank you for having us.

While the natural surroundings of Songbirds Rainforest Hotel are certainly stunning, the lack of cleanliness and personal service overshadowed some of the positive aspects. Location is great but not much more. Hope they can improve it as the potential is there.
