"Chayote, key limes, brussels sprouts stalks, nopales, fresh garbanzo beans, Sicilian eggplant, oh my! For nearly 40 years Carmelo Bruno, his wife, sister, and family of employees have provided the neighborhood with hard to find produce, fruits, imported products from Italy (olives! cheese! salami!), Latin America, and Asia. The market also carries some organic and locally-grown items. Not only is this our favorite market around, it's THE most affordable." - WSDIA | WeShouldDoItAll
Affordable, convenient shopping whenever you are in the area, easy access to MTA busses, $cab, private taxi, train etc.

I rate this store because this is my Caribbean wife goes to purchase the specific spices, vegetables and things she can't get at regular markets. They seem to have everything she needs at good prices.
I've noticed that the staff is very patient and helpful on a consistent basis. It's always an adventure coming here.

Be careful when shopping here. I messed up yesterday and walked away from the register while cashing to pick up 1 more item. When the cashier was finished I honestly did find the total to be a little to much but paid it no mind. When I got home and unpacked my groceries I looked at my receipt and there was a $5 charge for an item I did NOT have. Be mindful when shopping here please.

This store used to be the best before they became expensive. I much more prefer to shop at their sister store New Best down the block.
They're two staff members that I don't like at this location. The morning Hispanic woman that has a skin disorder & the older Korean man that works the register at night. I find him to be very gruff & unfriendly. He's more like a warden & an army's colonel. Also, I've shopped at many of these markets & this woman is the ONLY cashier that threatened to charge me for taking 2 extra flipping plastic bags that you tear off to put your fruit & vegs into. And yet, she hooks other customers up by giving them free merchandise. Uneffnbelievable!!

Nice place to shop for fresh produce. The prices are reasonable. Be prepared for long lines and be sure to get your receipt.

Why serve a neighborhood where you despise the patrons? The owners are mean and rude. They treat the patrons like garbage, yet still we patronize them. They look at their customers with disgust and serve us sub par fruits and vegetables.
