The cuisine at Sonia’s was exquisite; I opted for the oxtail with rice & peas. The others had fried chicken and curry goat. The portions size of the dish was filling. The natural juice was delicious. I appreciated the restaurant's atmosphere, which was very homely. The employee was very nice. When you want a homemade cooked food check out Sonia’s.

Sonia’s is known for their fried chicken, but they were out this Sunday evening. I always stop by or order to go when I visit the island. I used to eat there daily years ago. We got bbq chicken and the oxtail. The oxtail was disappointing- it was tough and very basic in flavor. Rice and peas was excellent as usual. The chicken however was excellent.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sonia’s Homestyle Cooking & Natural Juices, and from the moment I pulled up, the experience was inviting. The front desk staff was courteous and had us seated quickly, setting the tone for a great visit. Inside, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. Shortly after being seated, our waiter took our order and surprised us with a plate of fresh fruits—a nice touch that added to the homely feel. For my meal, I ordered the okra with saltfish, and I was impressed by how fast it arrived. The plating was well done, and the presentation matched the quality of the food. The okra was fresh, and every bite was packed with incredible flavor. The fritters were hot, crispy, and delicious, while the fried dumpling was light and perfectly cooked. Overall, my experience was fantastic. The combination of great service, flavorful food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this spot a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is real Jamaican homestyle cooking, this is the place to go. Listen; the food was seasoned to the bone and tasted really good. What I also love, was that I didn't have to wait long to get the food. Customer service was top tier. The ambience was good. Looking forward to go back. And how could I forget, the price was just right and far from expensive.

Went for a Birthday lunch. Had the curried goat and the oxtail…food came out hot and fresh. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was very pleasant and attentive and knowledgeable about the day’s menu. I really loved the fresh mango juice it tasted just like the mangos picked off of the trees. I enjoyed my meal so much I took home food. Also the 100 bean soup with beef was perfect!

Highly recommend!! Food was DELICIOUS. My party had curry goat, fried chicken, chicken and chips and the stewed chicken. Everything was AMAZING 😍. Our waiter (think his name was Melville), was great. He was warm, friendly and even gave us some lovely chicken broth as starters, on the house! In terms of the food, it was extremely flavourful. 😋 Perhaps the best curry goat I've had in my life lol. Great spot to get Jamaican food for locals and visitors alike. Only issue is parking is very limited so try and go at non-peak hours (whenever that is!). Will be back! #highlyrecommend #sonias

Delicious homestyle Jamaican cooking for a reasonable price. Good for takeout but dining in was great too, nice service and decor. The photos on the wall with Sonia and her famous guests over the years was a nice touch also. Only downside is limited parking spaces. Most patrons will have to park curbside
