The cuisine at Sonia’s was exquisite; I opted for the oxtail with rice & peas. The others had fried chicken and curry goat. The portions size of the dish was filling. The natural juice was delicious. I appreciated the restaurant's atmosphere, which was very homely. The employee was very nice. When you want a homemade cooked food check out Sonia’s.

Very delicious Red Pea Soup with Beef. They ran out of it while we were there. The curry goat and rice and peas was very delicious. Portion size was OK. A few items were sold out by the time we arrive (an hour before closing). I would suggest going early. Would eat there again.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sonia’s Homestyle Cooking & Natural Juices, and from the moment I pulled up, the experience was inviting. The front desk staff was courteous and had us seated quickly, setting the tone for a great visit. Inside, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. Shortly after being seated, our waiter took our order and surprised us with a plate of fresh fruits—a nice touch that added to the homely feel. For my meal, I ordered the okra with saltfish, and I was impressed by how fast it arrived. The plating was well done, and the presentation matched the quality of the food. The okra was fresh, and every bite was packed with incredible flavor. The fritters were hot, crispy, and delicious, while the fried dumpling was light and perfectly cooked. Overall, my experience was fantastic. The combination of great service, flavorful food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this spot a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Sonia’s is known for their fried chicken, but they were out this Sunday evening. I always stop by or order to go when I visit the island. I used to eat there daily years ago. We got bbq chicken and the oxtail. The oxtail was disappointing- it was tough and very basic in flavor. Rice and peas was excellent as usual. The chicken however was excellent.

The rice and peas is to due for. Their service, ambiance, and friendliness is impeccable. The food was more that excellent. Parking was a little tight but ok. Next time I am visiting Jamaica I will be there to eat again.

Not only the food was great and authentic Jamaican Cuisine, my Waitress was top tier and hospitable . I had to take the time out do this review because I have regain trust from n my Jamaican people I had breakfast with my family there Wednesday morning and left my Gucci prescription glasses there , my family member told me I was crazy to think I would get them back I called and spoke to the manager who told me she would check and call me back soon 5 mins later my over $800USD prescription glasses was waiting for me to pick up at the front desk. This review is not only based on the great service and taste of the food but one that will restore your confidence in Jamaica and the wonderful, trustworthy staff at Sonia’s Homestyle Kitchen

This is real Jamaican homestyle cooking, this is the place to go. Listen; the food was seasoned to the bone and tasted really good. What I also love, was that I didn't have to wait long to get the food. Customer service was top tier. The ambience was good. Looking forward to go back. And how could I forget, the price was just right and far from expensive.

Waited over 40 minutes to get take out meal only to then hear they ran out of what I had ordered. The cherry on top is that the staff didn't even have the curtosy to apologise. I won't be back. Try Lorna's instead. You'll find good service and food there.
