Room was clean, recently refurbished. The design felt like they were trying a bit too hard in some places, but it made for an interesting room.
The thing I would warn everyone about is the service:
- checked in on the later side (about 9:45pm) but not really that late in the scheme of things- but had quite the check-in experience. Reception (clearly in a hurry to shut down) stuck an iPad in front of me and told me to enter all of my family’s details, which I had already done prior to arrival, and when I told them it should already be in the system, argued with me and quite upset, curtly told me to do it in the morning.
- lifts were shut down in the morning during check-out time, though they were being used by service staff to bring housekeeping equipment up and down the hotel.
- was using the lobby at night to get some work done and was told to vacate the space because they were going to turn the lights off. Had to negotiate for them to give me some space to use my laptop.
Only a few examples here, but overall it felt like the hotel operations needed a lot more work.
