Sonnenhof Aspach

My sisters and I spent 2 nights here. It was when Andrea Berg wasn't there, so the hotel was nice and quiet with not so many guests around. The hotel was huge that you can spend your whole afternoon walk around the nice place and its surroundings. The breakfast was fantastic.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sonnenhof, Aspach. Rooms are spacious, very clean although a little basic in terms of facilities. The hotel is set in a beautiful location & boasts a wide range of bars, restaurants, sports & spa, all of which are superb. Some of the views from the hotel are stunning. I had a couple of evening meals in the “Alaska” restaurant & the standard of food was very good at a reasonable price point. I will definitely return to this note on my next trip & would also recommend it to both friends & colleagues.

Disappointing Stay - Not As Advertised My recent stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The rooms were extremely basic and poorly equipped. There was no air conditioning, no shutters on the windows, and no mosquito nets, making it quite uncomfortable. Each bed had only one basic pillow, which didn't help with getting a good night's sleep. Additionally, there was no coffee machine available in the room. We were initially attracted to this hotel by the nice pictures on their website, but the reality was far from what was depicted. The only positive aspect of our stay was the food, which was good in the restaurant. The staff experience was mixed; while there were a few kind and helpful individuals, the majority seemed bored and uninterested in assisting guests. Overall, this has been one of the worst places I've stayed in my travel experience. Fortunately, we only had to endure it for one nights.

Wonderful experience. The weekdays were especially nice (quieter). We had a great visit with Constantine the animal whisperer. He is a great asset and ambassador for the hotel. The meals were tasty and full of variety. The service staff in the buffet restaurant were amazing. We highly recommend the sonnenhof!

Very poor food restaurant service as there were focused on people who walked in from the local community. I returned my food as it was not even cooked correctly without any firm of apology or a replacement. It also took 20 minutes for drinks to arrive which again we seemed to be at the bottom of the list since we where not locals which is very disappointing. And a word of caution the staff from the reception to waiters and bar staff where very ignorant and aggressive in the tone of voice. So as you can imagine I will not be visiting this place in business again and certainly would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Had a really fun couple of days, food was good, but you should know that German portions are big. Rooms are really ok, clean and very warm. Looks like half of the staff are not speaking english, but you can manage to communicate. Had a few strange/unpleasant moments with some of the staff, but I don't blame it, because we were laughing a lot and they could think we were laughing at them. "Alaska" restaurant had some Twin Peaks Great Northern Hotel vibe.

This hotel is located in Aspach.|I visited here with my colleagues.||1. It took about 5 mins from reception to room!|2. The room was very big and clean.|3. The bathroom has a shower booth and bath tub.|4. Bath amenities were served.|5. Very quite and cozy atmosphere.|6. This hotel is almost made of wood.|7. Price was reasonable.|8. Breakfasts were good.|9. You can use free wifi.|10. However it was far from nearest market.|11. Blanket was not enough for cold weather.|

Even though it was only one night I got a good impression of this place. The hotel is large with several connected buildings. My room was fairly small but clean and fine for one night. Fir longer stays I think they certainly have larger rooms. The surroundings looks very nice and for a recreational trip I think this place is good. The restaurant offers good dining German style as well as the break-fast is good and variated. Lot of parking lots as you might arrives by car.
