Enjoyed this place. Didn't really do good Yelp or Google research before we ended up there. We just ended up in that section of town and decided to look for barbecue. My friends and I were surprised at how yummy the food was. It's not much for appearance but it has a real local barbecue Vibe and feel. I had ribs and brisket combo, with green beans and french fries. All very very good. I would recommend this place easily anybody coming in from out of town. It's good taste and good smelling barbecue if you like a HomeTown little bit more of a bar feel, it's great. It's just not very fancy but most barbecue places aren't.

Nice atmosphere. First time in Dallas hoping for a smash hit with BBQ but it turned out to be slightly underwhelming. The brisket was a touch dry had to liven it up with there BBQ sauce which was great same goes for the pulled pork. Sausage was fantastic love the BBQ sausage down here. Coleslaw was great but potato salad was sadly lacking in anything special. Great price though and good portions.

I had the regular combo plate and it was the perfect amount of food for me to savor as I watched a comedy special in my hotel. I ordered takeout around 7pm on a Thursday it was relatively quiet with other takeout orders and a few tables of people enjoying the smokehouse fare. The fried okra was so tender and mouthwatering. I also ordered pulled chicken, sliced brisket and sausage. I would go back for all three as well as try other meat options.

I can't believe this place😠 I'm here from Los Angeles. I came to visit my Dad in Texas. I was craving bbq. I walked into this restaurant and ordered a rib dinner. Potato salad is good. I was eating on my yeast roll. When I bit into it I found a styrofoam piece inside the yeast roll. I was so disappointed I asked for a refund. I was issued a refund. Smh.

In defence of this restaurant, I am from the BBQ capitol of the world, Kansas City. It is extraordinary difficult beat KC BBQ. Having wrote that, the ribs weren't horrible. Lots of Smokey flavor. So much smoke, I could taste it on the yeast roll and fries. Unfortunately, I didn't see any BBQ sauce... whaa ??? My son and I both thought the best part was the yeast roll, they were delicious.

Located along the classic and historic West End section of downtown Dallas, Sonny Bryan’s has been serving up classic barbecue meats and southern sides for decades. You won’t go wrong with the flavor here, but you might be underwhelmed by the amount of meat. I ordered the large combo platter but only got a handful of meats, a few okra pieces, and a small green bean casserole. Not to mention, I ordered the sliced brisket and receive the chopped brisket... It was worth the visit this one time but may not be a location I visit unless I find myself hanging around West End and hungry.

Great atmosphere in a little downtown building with some age to it. The food was good. The service was excellent. A definite stop if you're in the area.

This bbq place didnt blow me away but it was better than the other Texax BBQ places so far. Ribs and Brisket had a great smokey flavor. Fried Okra was hot, Mac and Cheese was cold in some places. Sauce was meh. Layout is cramped.
