Overall, great experience. Awesome atmosphere. I don’t think they were expecting such a rush the day after Christmas, so service was a little slow. However, location & food more than made up for it!

This place was delicious and a very comfortable atmosphere. We are on a road trip from North Carolina to Maine and this was on the way. So glad we stopped. We also had our puppy with us and the waitress was very nice to him. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a regular at Sono Harbor, dining in often and occasionally getting takeout. The food has always been great, and the service from the waitstaff is consistently impeccable. However, I’m writing this review out of serious concern regarding the kitchen staff. On multiple occasions, the music coming from the kitchen is louder than the music in the dining area—complete with dancing and singing like it’s a nightclub, which disrupts the otherwise relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant. More troubling, though, is the behavior of some kitchen staff members. My girlfriend has started feeling uncomfortable due to the way certain individuals stare at her and try to get her attention. It’s unprofessional and inappropriate. The last straw came during our most recent visit. I witnessed a cook attempting to engage with a very young girl. Thankfully, the server intervened immediately and told him to stop, clearly recognizing how inappropriate it was. I was shocked the girl’s father didn’t confront the situation, but regardless, that behavior is not only inappropriate—it’s unacceptable and potentially illegal. I’m incredibly disappointed because I truly enjoy the food and the front-of-house service, but the actions of the kitchen staff are making this restaurant feel unsafe and uncomfortable. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it swiftly.

Delicious Food! We stopped at this restaurant for breakfast. This is a cozy place to dine. We were sat promptly; the food was good & the prices were reasonable. We really enjoyed our meals. The only downside is the parking situation; it is paid parking in the back . To conclude, I would return to this place for breakfast/brunch.

This place is an absolute gem! Their sandwiches standout in the area, they are always fresh, super flavorful, and generously filled. They don’t cheap out on portions at all. Highly recommended!

I have been coming to sono harbor for a while now and never have a complaint from the amazing waiters to the amazing cooks… I will recommend that if you are new to Norwalk or stopping by to go see Peter and his crew down at the harbor if you’re looking for a great meal at a affordable price… The staff never disappoints !!! The space is children friendly, very amazing friendly place over all!!! I will continue to come back!!!

We really liked the staff at this place. They were accommodating, but didn’t really check up on us and took a very long time to bring the bill. We had to ask for it after we were done packing up our things. The food seemed promising, but felt short. The buffalo chicken wrap was just ok and the Italian panini was missing something.

Good but they should definitely NOT call this a panini.

In need of some breakfast fuel on our roadtrip and decided to stop in here ! There's a little parking in the back , but it's off of a Main Street ! The girl greeted us and was very friendly and took our order . Looked very clean inside , we came at like 630 am so it wasn't super busy ! I ordered the California breakfast wrap which was $9 it came with egg, avocado , bacon and pepper jack cheese. It wasn't bad but honestly kinda tiny , there was definitely a lot More room in the wrap than what was put in there . If I was in the area Probably wouldn't come back again, would probably try some where else.

It's hit or miss here, sadly, because I want it to be a hit at Sono Harbor Deli every time. Most of the staff is pleasant and the coffee drinks are always great. The food is just okay in all my experiences. Yesterday I sat in and couldn't wait to hurry up and get out of there. Firstly, there were flies buzzing around the table so we needed to move to a different spot. There were only a few people in there at the time, but there was a child sitting on a barstool with an iPad playing songs louder than the restaurants music and it was extremely annoying while trying to have a conversation. My food was disappointing and I wrapped half of it to go so I could fix it at home with some real flavor. Worst of all, an employee was whipping around the room like the Tasmanian devil with a broom, sweeping aggressively, while I'm trying to eat a meal. She was abruptly yanking each chair out of place and banging them around the tables to clear space for sweeping, with no regard for the food on my table or consideration that it was an open opportunity for dust to fly around and into my food. It was the middle of the day, not any time near closing hours. I was pretty grossed out at the thought of my exposed food getting floor dirt on it and the complete disregard for all the metal furniture banging around us was the icing on top.

Great service, friendly staff and a clean restaurant. Unfortunately the food just wasn't good. The cheesesteak tasted more like ground beef than chopped steak. Also tried the Turkey Club, which was decent but not memorable. If you're in SoNo, there are a lot of great restaurants. This one will work in a pinch.

I like the breakfast here usually. They have illy coffee and a nice variety came for breakfast it waitresseswere talking way too much. We asked for a refills on the coffee and had to wait for one of them to set up the brew- with 2 large pots this should not happen. My potatoes were cold because they sat so long while they talked. Still good food but service needs improvement.

Nice little deli off of SONO busy street. Parking is super tight and almost non existent and then you need to pay for meter parking. The staff was less than welcoming. It's a normal deli nothing to really write home about. The tuna melt cheese was barely melted we asked for avacado to be added and you could barely see it. Another coworker ordered Rueben with a side salad and the salad was added in the take out container along with his hot salad so by the time we got back to office it was pretty wilted. Souvlaki salad had very moist chicken that was flavored well and one grape leaf with mushy tomatoes. As you walk out of the deli towards the back entrance you see a stand up violet with glass see through casing that had open cake box and veggies that were just loosely tossed in, wasn't a great look. Maybe just an off day? They do take credit card

Stopped by here on a lunch break. Very welcoming ambiance and felt at ease. Will be back

I don't know why we keep giving this place chances. Probably due to convenience. Doubt the owner will bother contacting us as his staff was protective of giving out his name and refused to let me be able to talk to him. He's "in and out" when I asked what time he would be in. We ordered the "All In One"; which is Bacon, Sausage, Egg, and Cheese with potatoes. My wife bites into it and she found that it was pretty much just a potato sandwich. We opened it up and found one slice of bacon on the left one half sausage link on the right and a slice of ham. Not to be picky but normally when you pay double the price for three meats you actually get the three meats normal portion. We called as we thought this was a error by the Chef. The server called back and confirmed that's how they make it. So another words when you order the "All In One" they decrease all the normal amount of meat you get when you order a bacon/egg or sausage/egg or ham/egg when they make it and charge you double the price and pack it full of hash browns. DO NOT ORDER THIS. Waitress was pretty rude by the way like she couldn't be bothered for us questioning this. She requested us to bring it back so they could "show the chef" when I told her I'd be happy to send them pictures vs. walking all the way back she backed down as if we were trying to pull a fast one. Photos below. I'd be happy to consider changing the review score if the owner calls. Pretty crappy you have to make an offer to get a hold of the owner...be better.

Only spotted by the gentleman working behind the counter. He said hello and asked if I'd like some water. I said I'd like coffee. He worked quickly to get me a cup. He had to keep nudging the other waitress to help me. Finally she asked if i needed a menu. It wasn't automatic, which was odd. No actual greeting to welcome me to the restaurant. She didnt ask if i needed my parking validated. After i arrived, more people came in and the " Good Mornings "" we're flowing.... Wish I was greeted like that.... Just saying.... Hollandaise sauce for my eggs Benedict was bland. There was no flavor to it. Very plain.

With a few tweaks, This place has the potential to be great. Staff may be one of their biggest downfalls. First, no one speaks when you walk in the door. I wasn't sure if I could just sit anywhere, or if I had to order first then choose a table. I went to the bar/counter and just sat down because it felt safe. Throughout my meal I noticed other people walking thru the front door experiencing the same thing; no one speaking, looking confused, & being unsure of where to go and what to do. Food was good. What I wanted they were out of, so I went with a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhich with a side of corned beef hash. The sanwhich had a very comforting corner store feel. Corner stores & delis typically make the best bacon egg cheese sanwhiches. The hash was fresh and had the crunchy pieces that I like to give it texture and that homey feeling. Customer service wasn't bad, until your thirsty and your server isn't paying any attention to see you're out of juice. Lol. They have free parking on the side and behind the building. I asked about the parking and was told that I had to put my license plate # in an i-pad, which I never saw. I didn't know, so My server did it for me. That's when I realized the slight issue... They treat everyone as if they had been there several times before. It's a slight cockiness, like we don't have to earn your loyalty and trust, you should already be a fan." OnceI recieved the check, like that was the end of my service. I just left the money on the bar. Didn't get a thank you, have a nice day, good bye, a smile or anything from my server or any other employees, so as I was walking out, I thought about it, tuned around and went back to retrieve some of the excess tip money. Felt like just another number and totally Unappreciated... Return: Maybe if I'm walking around or at an event in the area, but intentionally? Probably not

Love the food here, pictured is a 2 egg breakfast platter done over easy with multi grain toast and sausage. I come here all the time and their Taylor ham aka pork roll is so good! Coffee is always on point as well.

I really liked this place but cannot eat there again based on my experience today. Ordered the avocado toast and coffee. Comes with two eggs. The eggs literally were refrigerator temp. I took two bites and it turned my stomach off. I couldn't eat anything else. The whole meal was like it came out the fridge. She offered other food. I just couldn't eat anything at this point. I went to pay and was curious how she would handle it. She said she had to charge me but felt bad. I feel bad too. Not good. I won't eat there again based on her having to charge me.

So thankful a friend said let's go to SONO Harbor deli! (How did I miss this place???) Tip: parking lot in back, pay for parking, enter through back door, parking validation right there. Easy. Friendly attentive staff. Will ask you about a beverage right away and they come quick for your order. If you want some time, they will gladly accommodate you. They have a solid menu with many options. I had a mushroom, spinach omelette. Skipped the potatoes, but they looked good. The rye toast was wonderful. I enjoyed the coffee as well. Perfect breakfast. Tip: go up to the counter to pay.

Food was AWSOME, but the tables are very close together and the service staff was a little behind. Overall very nice meal, but very small space you might be rubbing elbows with the patrons a table over from you.

I love coming to this place for breakfast. The food is great and not over priced. Its such a cute little cafe and the waitresses are all friendly. We stopped by today and had a late breakfast. I ordered the BLT with fries and a coffee. The food was tasty! I wish there was a bit more bacon to my sandwich, but besides for that it was really good. They serve Illy coffee which is my favorite! it's always so good and they refill your cup as many times as you would like. The waitress was kind enough to even make me a cup to go! I highly recommend coming here if you haven't tried it yet.

Very solid food, good service, fun atmosphere. Definitely the kind of place I'd go again if I found myself in the area.

Had been looking forward to breakfast here as reviews are great and the food looks great too. Ordered 2 breakfasts and waited 45-50 minutes before leaving. Watched multiple tables seated well after us and served. Table next to us seated after us and served as we waited another 15 minutes - appeared to be related to the owner who sat at the table visiting with them for a time. When we caught the eye of a server she said food would be right up but we still continued to wait as other tables were served and many to-go orders were delivered. I assume our order had been accidentally forgotten but they should have acknowledged it, if so. Finally canceled order and left. More than happy to wait at a popular restaurant for service when it's busy, but not when multiple tables are seated, served and ready to leave and many to-go orders are delivered without anyone acknowledging the delay. The food looked delicious but unfortunately we never got to try it.

While we were in town for the holidays, we stopped in to have breakfast with a few family members who had suggested this restaurant. We arrived early on a Saturday morning because we were told that this restaurant gets packed. It is a small, cute restaurant with bar seating and also tables. It is on a busy street but there is a private parking lot in the back of the restaurant. The menu has a wide variety of options for all different picky eaters. They server Boars Head products which is a plus for us. Our table ordered hash and eggs, western omelette, chocolate chip pancakes and the Nutella pancakes. The short stack (two pancakes) is way more than enough food because the pancakes were HUGE! My omelette was made perfectly and it was overflowing with ham and vegetables. $8.50 for an egg white western omelette? Not too bad. The home fries were delicious - you could tell they were homemade and not some bad frozen potatoes that were slung on the grill. The coffee was strong and delicious and our service was great. I will definitely be back and hope to try the lunch menu next time. Skip the other diners in the area and check SoNo Harbor Cafe out!

Painfully average sub on par with the grocery store grab-and-go. Pile of bland deli meat on a sort-of fresh roll that fell apart in my hands prepared by a man without wearing gloves. Come on guys, get some nicer bread, kick up the spice, throw on some peppers, whip up a quick signature spread, put on some food prep gloves. Packets of ketchup were included? What? Who on earth...? Give me an experience that makes me want to return - this ain't it.

This place was great!!! My husband and I were in town for a wedding and stopped here for lunch. Based on the crowd of locals, we knew it must be good. He had the Tuscan Panini and I had the Greek Wrap. We both had the house salad as a side. Service was a bit slow, but I think that was only because we hit them during the lunch rush. The staff was friendly, and I noticed that the person who took our order was back bugging the kitchen a few times to make sure it was on its way. We took our food to go and ate it at a park a few blocks away. A very nice experience. This place is a neighborhood gem. We will be back the next time we are in town.

We ordered the California Breakfast wrap and two egg sandwiches. One with ham and the other with sausage. There was nothing that special or tasty about the egg sandwiches and bread to content ratio was off with too much bread. The wrap had more filling but again nothing that would create a desire to order again. When one can make breakfast sandwiches at home that are better ( less costly) the convenience is a moot point.

Excited by the reviews, unfortunately the Corned beef hash Benedict I ordered was COVERED in pepper, comically so, as if a pepper shaker with a loose top had fallen all over the meal. Whomever was making this really should have started over, 3/4 of the meal was totally inedible. In addition the wrap my husband got was $9 bucks and like an inch in circumference. Super rip off. I had high hopes, but won't be returning.

Super cute place near the marina. My wife loves a good chicken club and really enjoyed the spiced chicken. I got the buffalo wrap but mine could have used more sauce. Looked like they had a great breakfast menu, looking forward to trying it.

3.5: We came here for brunch and the food is pretty good. I was, however, disappointed after I had finished the California breakfast wrap ($6) that it didn't have the advertised avocado in it. I didn't feel like making a stink about it and I had already eaten everything, but definitely a bummer. Another bummer was that the food took a long time to come out, which seems like it might be the place's m/o. It was pretty busy in there and some people were just ordering takeout. The waitresses were all very nice and were milling around in case you needed anything. I would also suggest some better restaurant temperature control, way too hot in there on a nice autumn day. Overall, I may return one day for brunch or lunch, hoping for a more on point experience. The menu has a lot of options.

Always very good food for a reasonable price. Home fries are the best around. 4 stars as their coffee isn't my kind, but if you like dunkin and green mountain it's that style.

Had my first meal in SoNo here, and it was great. I stopped in for breakfast and coffee to get the day started. The food was really good, the service was great--no frills, efficient, neighborly-style service that makes you feel at home. The menu has a really nice range of options and the coffee is tasty. I sat at the bar and the only suggestion I have is to be a little careful-- it's a tight space and I was bumped a lot when people squeezed by, and the floor shakes a little in some spots. I would definitely come back for lunch. Not to mention the great view of the water out back! There is parking out back for patrons, but don't leave your car there longer than that!

A year later did not take a chance on my fav cali Benedict after last order but got the pancakes. Oh my, so good!! You don't even need syrup they are sweet on their own. Yum!

Stopped in here to dine for breakfast and immediately I noticed the Devore. Absolutely adorable and love it. Service was amazing and super sweet. And the food-no words! Would totally recommend the veggie omelet! Love the family friendly atmosphere and amazing food. 5 stars!

Absolute loved and devoured the homemade corn beef Benedict. I will rate any place that has homemade corn beef hash 5/5 stars because it is truly the way to my heart. My other half ordered the original eggs Benedict and devoured his meal as well The potato's were on the under seasoned side but paired nicely with the meal! Service was friendly and the Cold Brew (Lily) was a tasty treat as well :)

Delicious! Service was fast and friendly and the food was amazing. Huge portions! I had the California Benedict and my friend had a breakfast burrito. Coffee was excellent and fruit was fresh. Highly recommend!

This place is usually ok - but the last two times I've grabbed an order to go has been trash...this is the "California Wrap" this looks like gross as hell - turkey bacon isn't cooked, eggs watery - there's maybe a sliver of tomato and absolutely way too much cheese...absolutely freaking gross mush mess. Avoid this place - I'll be going to Caffe Social instead going forward.

Great breakfast spot! It gets pretty busy but it's worth the wait and they move fast. I definitely recommend their Nutella French toast. Believe me, i am NOT a French toast person but damn do I love their French toast. Great service and great options. I love places like this where I can get all these different kinds of breakfast options and the food is simple but delicious.

Really enjoyed my breakfast here and will definitely return. They actually season their hashbrowns (which for some reason is hard for places) so they are delicious and also cooked really well. Ordered my eggs over easy and they nailed it on the doneness, runny yolk and all. Also got a cappuccino that was solid and felt the service was fair, though they seemed tight staffed on the floor so I get it.

This place is a life saver on those mornings when I'm looking for good food at a decent value; plus great staff there, always smiling and helpful. Great hangover recovery joint. Power Booster sandwich is the best.

It's hard to find a diner open at 6am these days. SoNo Harbor is one of those rare places. It's bright and busy, and the server Kat is really great. The food is nicely prepared and the coffee is outstanding. This will be my GoTo diner for years to come.

This place was beginning to be my go-to brunch spot, the staff are all super friendly, love the vibe, and although I still love their paninis and will probably still return here for them, I have to leave a 3 star review over the coffee. Their coffee is DELICIOUS but when I ordered my meal from Uber Eats I was appalled to find a dead fly in my drink (only realized it when I had almost finished the entire thing too and felt it hit my lips- ack!) it calls the whole place's cleanliness into question for me. Very disappointing as I loved their iced coffee. Never again :(

New weekend Staff? What is going on at the SoNo Harbor Deli & Cafe? This has been my favorite local breakfast/brunch spot in Norwalk for years. I genuinely loved the wait staff, and have always enjoyed your menu items. But things felt very different this Saturday October morning. The wait staff was really unprofessional, unorganized, catty and somewhat disheveled. I have zero complaints about the food because it has not changed at all, but something was definitely up with the staff. Going to take a break from this place for a little while...

Came here for Lunch before going to the Norwalk Museum. Greek-ish in diner character, but much more cool, new England-y, funky. The counter is cool and fun to sit at. Had an interesting breakfast - got an egg sandwich - two eggs, btw, which I love. And had a tzatziki / pita side. My new breakfast combo favorite.

Our Post Christmas Breakfast was amazing. The oversized chocolate chip pancakes covered 2 meals ( 1 for kiddo; 1 for me)!!! I know, I know there was nothing on our table that was healthy by any means, but the Nutella over French toast was everything. I mean it was regular nicely cooked French toast with Nutella, but you put it together and... well you get my point! And y'all he side potatoes were on point! The waitresses were really nice, kind and patient! Let's see we dropped two knives and a fork(with food on them)! Our table was uneven... ummm how was I supposed to know...soooo I shook the table, only of course, after the coffee and juice came. My poor husband's lap! My hubby had the Benedict hash. He enjoyed it. With the cups of Illy coffee and drink we tipped over $40 for 3 adult portioned meals as expected. Besides we were able to eat the entire other half later. So it was completely worth it. I don't know how long they have been open, but born and raised in this city. I can't believe I have never been here. Seriously!

Really wish this place had anything close to decent customer service. Apparently at this establishment, 2 pieces of bacon on a sandwich equals double bacon, and when I called back to ask why that is, I got told I had an attitude. I asked for a manager who apologized profusely without knowing why there was an issue, which makes me assume that this server tells anyone that disagrees with her that they have an attitude. Also, two pieces of bacon on a double bacon blt is hilarious. As in, so hilarious that this experience has confirmed that Caffe social is always the better option, and that we will not be back.

Stop here on our way too and from cape cod. Food is always great. Cute restaurant, reasonable

Service is bad. 15 minutes to get coffe. asked for an additional shot, coffee was cold by the time the shot arrived. asked to warm up the coffee, they couldn't but had to start over which took another 10 minutes. ruined my breakfast. homemade harsh is deli unit that's it

Great place for breakfast. Coffee is amazing. Greek diner food in a hip and funky setting. I had the Greek omelet. It was amazing

Once again, I feel bad writing a review for a place where I chose to have a restriction, but I was testing out ketosis at the time I visited, and found that the salad they made was just okay. It was huge, a great portion--so that's a big positive. But I can't, in good conscience, give them 4 or 5 stars unless I think they deserve it! So that's not fair, I need to give them another shot, right? Yes, so, don't judge them based on this, yet.

It was a very blah meal compared to most other places I've been in Norwalk. We asked for waters and ice coffee when we got there, but they apparently ran out of ice? So we were brought warm water with no ice - pretty crazy to me. The service was fine overall, but we listened to the staff complain and gossip about restaurant issues/drama most of the meal. I ordered a Margarita wrap that was literally soaked in oil, so it was not my favorite. I probably won't come back as it wasn't a wonderful experience.

Excellent food and amazing service. Staff super friendly. Food is the best. They even have pork roll a southern jersey favorite. Love this place Can't wait to come back
