Sontaya Abu Dhabi

Absolutely amazing Thai restaurant at the St Regis saadiyat island. We booked to celebrate my son's birthday and were so happy we made this choice. The restaurant is very pretty and is surrounded by water, so you can be indoors and have the sliding doors open to be right next to the water. The menu has a lot of variety and every dish which came was better than the last, my favourite ones were the raw papaya salad which is so flavoursome and refreshing. We tried the Sea bass, which was also delicious and presented beautifully, and as we had ordered the coconut rice, it made a great dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for service, amazing food and beautiful decor and ambience. We shall definitely come back again.

When you enter the restaurant, the sparkling water with the soft light surrounds you, and the dinner with the sound of flowing water is so romantic. All the food was delicious, but lamb with Korean seasoning and kimchi salad were a fantastic combination.

This serene restaurant is surrounded by water and is beautiful inside and out. The atmosphere is traditional and relaxing. The lady at the front desk called Micaila (I think?) was very friendly and inviting when showing us to our table. Our waitress Shwe was incredibly warm and kind and gave us great food recommendations, which we loved. She even recommended a place for us to visit while we’re in Abu Dhabi. Shwe’s service really made the meal feel very special. The food was very delicious, especially the spicy edamame starter and black sesame toffee pudding dessert which blew us away. The prices were also fairly reasonable for how great the food was. Overall, it was a delightful experience and we’ll definitely come back. Thank you again Shwe!

Such an amazing place for a night out and if you are in the mood for a different experience. The ambience and place just take you to an exotic place, calm and just away from the busy city. We were welcomed with a smile and guided to our table. The staff is very professional and friendly. Adit helped us during our dining experience and he was super helpful. He even recommended the dessert once we asked about his suggestion. We ordered a variety of dishes and all of them were mouthwatering and very well done. The taste is super fresh and presentation is great. We ordered tuna tartar, seafood dumpling, beef satay, duck rolls and for the main we ordered salmon and tenderloin steak It is a must visit place. Add it to your list☺️

A very nice restaurant with terrace for a romantic dinner. The food was tasty, especially the Green Curry and the duck pancakes. The Tom Yum soup was unfortunately of no taste and too watery. The staff was very friendly but not so attentive- for example they cleaned 2 plates out of 4 from our table and for the other 2 we had to ask to be taken away after waiting for 15 minutes.

It was a nice fine dining experience. It is a lovely place with a very magnificent view. The food is great and appetising, and food presentations are amazing. If they add salted egg as an optional on their papaya Salad 🥗 it would be great 😄🤭. They also gave as complimentary chocolate dessert as we also celebrated our friends birthday. All in all,we enjoy our dinner. And also a big shoutout to Shwye, who helped and served our delicious food 😋.

The food was amazing and stay true to the original ones. We had some tamarind seafood and indonesian nasi goreng. Taste just like how it’s supposed to be. Its a thumbs up from me, an asian 🤣. Atmosphere was nice but the service was a really good touch. One of them named Shwe, i think, was very accommodating. But all of them were very nice too! Would definitely come back again.
