Sophia - SilverKris

"Natural light streams through the towering windows, lending the Italian restaurant a sparkling glasshouse elegance. It’s here where Chef de Cuisine Angelo Sergio celebrates the cornerstones of heartfelt Italian cooking from 11 regions of the country. Start with the fresh, wonderful Carpaccio di Gamberi featuring sweet Mazara red prawn brightened with raspberry and lemon gel. For the pasta course, get the Tagliatelle Atavi e Porcini, made with a special Hickory-smoked Atavi tagliatelle exclusive to the restaurant. While the Tonno Scottato – lava stone-seared yellow fin tuna – is deliciously succulent, the real showstopper has to be the Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Just a beautifully grilled Angus beef T-bone served with nothing but pepper berry sea salt, red wine jus and cannellini beans. On Sundays, brunch is a lively affair with a band, freeflowing champagne and a mozzarella bar. End the week in style with freshly made gelato from a cart that travels from table to table." - Ben Chin

I had a wonderful lunch at Sophia, and each course made the experience feel thoughtfully crafted and satisfying. Ambience The ambience was very good—warm, comfortable, and inviting. It created a perfect setting for a relaxed lunch. Service Special mention to Doris, who was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout. She gave excellent recommendations that really elevated the whole dining experience. Appetizer – Octopus The meal started with tender, well-seasoned octopus with just the right balance of char and freshness. A great start. Pizza The pizza had a beautifully baked crust—crispy on the outside, soft inside—with generous yet well-balanced toppings. Wagyu Beef The wagyu beef was the highlight: rich, buttery, and melt-in-the-mouth. Cooked perfectly and absolutely worth trying. Dessert – Tiramisu Light, creamy, and aromatic with coffee, the tiramisu was a perfect classic finish. Cappuccino A smooth, well-frothed cappuccino rounded off the meal wonderfully. Overall Sophia delivered a satisfying and well-paced lunch with great ambience, excellent service, and delicious dishes. Highly recommended.

Lovely place with high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and lush greenery to spend a relaxing lunch. We were offered a cozy dim round table corner seat but because of its excellent ambience we preferred to be seated at the main dinning hall tables and ordered a varied range to enjoy. Parma pizza and grilled octopus was very good. Lobster spaghetti very delicious. Grilled pork chop was well marinated and tasted very good on its own. Tagliata Angus was medium done and cooked to perfection. For the Fritto Misto can give it a miss. Dessert pana cotta we enjoyed it tremendously. Service was just ok, there was no rush for us to finish our meals. Value for money. Highly recommended to come visit before it starts getting crowded.

Had a wonderful and quality dinning experience, served by mr kartie (table 80) yesterday. He recommended focaccia cherry tomatoes- very much to my guest and mine’s delight. Pasta were superb! Baba napoletano and cannoneini alla crema were creative and much to our surprises. I would recommend this place for your special day or for business dinning. Ambience is top notch! Applaud to the best in class service by Mr Kartie, ask for him if you’re there. Wont be disappointed with his service.. keep it up. You made our dinning experience yesterday (29oct) a fantastic one, tx u!!

Came here for complimentary drinks. The complimentary cocktails tasted kinda diluted but the paid ones were on point. Also has a common table filled with diff cheeses and hams to pair with your drinks. Staffs were v polite and assertive. Overall a great experience!

Service was excellent, food was great, and the ambience was really good. Lovely Italian food! I mentioned that this meal was for a birthday celebration and we got a surprise birthday cake after our meal too! Highly recommended and we will definitely come back again.

New Italian restaurant at St Regis! Good food, great vibes — definitely one to add to your dinner list. My favourites are: 🍕𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐚 🍝𝐑𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐢 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚 🍗𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 🥩𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐧 They serve more than just pizzas and pastas, and they even have table side desserts! I never had biscotti “salami” before and I quite liked it — kinda reminds me of a chocolate cookie. Instagram/TikTok: @smolbelly

Went with a friend to Sophia for dinner on Saturday 1 Nov 2025. The newly renovated Environment is very pleasant. But, I found the previous decor fine too. So, I’m not sure if it was money well spent. I fancy there may be more tables now. So, you might have less privacy, depending where you are seated. We had a good table and great warm service from Kartie G the manager, Jen and Ary. They gladly helped us take photos. They really helped to make our evening wonderful. We shared five items. We were very quickly served a couple of very hard bread rolls first. With olive oil and rather nice balsamic vinegar. No tap water is served. So I chose the sparkling Purezza Water at $4 free flow. Rather pleasant. The Pappardelle al Ragu at $28 was a very decent sized portion. I am glad we shared. It might have been too “jelak” for one. The pasta was al dente. However, I found the ragu not tasty enough. Not to the level of yumz. But definitely ok. After a rather long wait, we had the porcini tartufo pizza next. Again a very decent size for $26. I liked this item best. I could have eaten it all by myself. However, not much truffle flavor, so I’ll try a different pizza in future. I guess they don’t use the synthetic truffle oil we find almost everywhere. But I don’t know for sure. It had lots of cheese. Yumz to me. But my friend was indifferent. Next came the $46 Tonno Scottato. The meaty tuna was nicely seared with a still pink interior. Again a decent size. Sliced into about 8-10 pieces? My friend liked this dish best. I found the fennel interesting, as I seldom eat this veggie. It was a good accompaniment. I am not a purist and found the tuna tasted better when I ate it with a slice of the porcini pizza. Our fourth item was the Tagliata di Manzo using the cheaper $58 Argentinian angus striploin. I understand it’s about 300g. Ary found this out for me. So again a very decent size. Some slices with yumz. But others were a bit on the “hard” side. We had it medium rare. Perhaps next time I will ask for rare. It was well seared on the outside. The nicer pieces had more fat. And also more taste. So, perhaps they should have left more fat around the striploin. But I guess other diners might be upset. Since not well trimmed. We also shared a $15 Spagnola. Jen very kindly split the dessert into 2 lovely Fabbri cups for us. It’s vanilla gelato with some extremely sweet Amarena cherries. Luckily we shared the dessert; less of a sugar bomb. We arrived at about 6.50pm and left at about 9.30pm. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Lovely room and very good service. Friendly and efficient. Especially from Kartie who chatted a bit with us. Food was decent but not exactly delicious for me. But, I am hard to please in this area. I will definitely return. I think I will try the salted cod dish and the cheese ravioli next. 😀
