My friends and I recently stayed at this hostel in Prague, and I can say it was probably the best hostel experience I've ever had (and I've stayed in my fair share of hostels).
My friends and I shared a 5-person "private apartment" - a large bedroom with 4 beds (1 double, 1 single, and a bunk bed); kitchen equipped with utensils, cookware, and an electric kettle; and bathroom with shower. The beds were basic but comfortable, and if you're up for it, you could cook your own meals in the kitchen (we did not). The room was pretty spacious; at the end of a long day of sight-seeing, you could lounge on one of the armchairs with a cup of tea if you liked.
Towels and linens are provided free of charge in the apartments (I believe you need to rent towels in the other rooms).
The staff all spoke English and were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Downstairs has a bar and lounge area; if you're so inclined, you could stay up until 3 am chatting with people hailing from anywhere from Ireland to Bangladesh over a Czech beer or a glass of wine. They do serve breakfast every morning until noon; I chose the "cold" breakfast - cereal, bread, fruit/vegs, and meats & cheese. The "hot" breakfast costs a little more and includes the above plus eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes, or grilled veggies. During the rest of the day there is no cooked food, but they do have some pastries and chips available to snack on.
The neighborhood is relatively quiet: it is about a half-hour walk to the old town, so you're well away from the tourist hustle & bustle. If you don't want to walk, the tram stop is just a couple blocks away, and you can buy tram tickets from the front desk.
I highly recommend this hostel if you want a friendly, clean, inexpensive place to stay while in Prague.
