A great local Korean restaurant with delicious dishes and entertaining atmosphere! We reserved ahead for our party of 8 and were seated in a beautiful stand-alone gazebo surrounded by very many koi fish, which kept my little cousins busy while we waited for our food. My local family members recommended this restaurant as somewhere they have been coming for years and always take visitors like us to and it was great! I highly recommend their meat jun (a local Korean/Hawaiian dish), fried fish, and grilled chicken. Their assortment of side dishes (banchan) was a great accompaniment to the main course, and their rice cake soup was delicious too. I’d definitely like to go back again when I visit Oahu again 😋

I had a family holiday dinner with my aunty & uncle & cousin and I placed an order of some yakiniku cooking of (Bulgogi, Kalbi, & Seasoned sliced Pork Belly) and then a 2nd course of Large Bulgogi Stew with SangChu Fresh Lettuce. Everyone were satisfied and the service was great. It was perfect.

Big Fish Dive Club

Google
This is one of the few places in Honolulu that I could find ginseng chickens soup albeit a bit on the pricy side at $28 a pop. Ginseng prices must have gone up without notifying me. Such is life. We also had an oxtail soup and as well as rib soup (Kalbitang). All the soups tasted good, though not great. The side dishes were very standard and tasted pretty good. The service was friendly and the sitting area was interesting to say the least. It resembled an old time Korean restaurant with artificial lake surrounding the main sitting area.

Google
The food was good. Not on a “spectacular” level, but very, very good. The service was even better. All served with a smile, pleasant demeanor, and excellent service.

Google
This is a true gem. It’s honestly the best authentic Korean food I have ever tried in my life. The service is excellent, the food is so hot and fresh, the prices are very reasonable. I would come back in a heart beat. I love how before you walk in the restaurant to my surprise there is koi fish ponds surrounding the restaurant. Overall one of my favorite Korean restaurants I have ever been to. I ordered the Sorabol Special for Two and it came with an amazing assortment of foods including meat jun, fish jun, side dishes, yellow corvina and more. I’m so excited to be coming back to this restaurant.

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They were so good with my toddler and were patient when she got naughty at times. The food was delicious.

Google
A friend recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint, the aunties working there really took care of our family. It felt like we were eating at grandmas house!

Google
Great food great service including the restaurant. We got our own private table. It sits in a big pond with lots of Koi fish where you can 3$ food to feed the fish.

Yelp
We had a great Korean dinner. We ordered the steamed butter fish and the short rib beef soup. Both were great on its own but together a deadly combination. The service was fast and good. We would definitely come back again.

Yelp
The restaurant is an OG favorite place for gatherings and I love the private dining rooms with noisy A/C units where you can hear the koi fish splashing around. The banchan is really yummy and they have good variety. We got bean sprouts, potato salad, kimchee cucumber, fish cakes and something else I forgot about. We had a large group of 9 people so we ordered a few doubles on the meat. The meat dishes were sometimes served on 2-3 plates for each side of the table, sometimes not so we didn't realize the tiny portion of kalbi was actually 2 orders on one plate so we were just cooking it up on one burner. We thought the chicken was huge but realized it was 2 orders on 1 plate but the brisket came out on separated plates. The service was kind of pushy, the ladies told us we should order 1 main meat dish per person even tho we had 4 appetizers and 6 other dishes like pancakes and noodles and bi bim bap. It was too much food and the bill was over $700 which felt like we got hustled. Overall it is an ok spot for a group but I'd rather eat elsewhere and save money. We scored street parking.

Yelp
Unfortunately, Sorabol Restaurant has announced it will be closing, and this is heartbreaking news for many. "After 40 years, a beloved Korean restaurant near Ala Moana is closing for good. "Sorabol posted a notice informing customers that their last chance to dine at the restaurant will be March 7." https://bsky.app/profile/raymondkaya.bsky.social/post/3linmodsnu22x

Yelp
It's been a hot minute since I ate at Sorabol...actually it's about 4 years thanks to the pandemic and having moved from town. First, fyi, they're in the old Pagoda restaurant. Don't make the mistake we almost did and go to their old location! I honestly like that they're at the old Pagoda. There's more parking options and it's great the fishes are still around. The parking is to the left when looking at the main entrance. There's street parking or the two level structure. Be sure to pay for the parking. Ok, about the food. I loved everything we had: Side dishes: so many different options and they all had great flavor. You go to other places and the sides are meh..that is not the case with Sorabol. I could eat just the side dishes with rice. Soondubu (spicy soft tofu soup): It had maybe 3 or four clams. It didn't really bother me but not sure if others would prefer more. But it had just enough spiciness to me while also having so much taste! I could only wish my soondubu could taste like theirs. Mandoo: the buggas are chubby! They had a nice crispy outside while having a ton of meat inside. The filling was seasoned and I honestly didn't need any sauce for it. As we were done, we were given a sweet rice drink. There was a hint of ginger and I thought it was nice and refreshing. In regard to service, aunty who was serving us was nice and had a good sense of humor. Food as arrived fast too~ I wish I was in town more, but I'll be sure to visit again especially since they have to little side pagoda/rooms~

Yelp
We went to eat at Sorabol on a Saturday around 4. There is a two level parking structure to the left of the restaurant. It was $3 to park there for two hours and you end up paying through a QR code. Parking is tight if it is packed. There was only one other table and we were seated immediately. We got our order in, my dinner was spicy cold noodle (bibim naengmyun). My husband got the bibim gooksoo and my daughter the bbq chicken. I really liked the spicy cold noodles with buckwheat noodles and pickled radish. My daughter liked the bbq chicken with her rice. My husband wished there was a sauce to go with his gooksoo like a goguchung. At the end of the meal, we were given a little cup with a cold, sweet ginger rice drink. Not sure what that was, but it was very delicious. The best part about this restaurant is the koi pond surrounding it. The waitress gave my daughter a small container of fish food that we were able to feed to the koi while waiting for our food to come out. She was also so sweet to remind my daughter to wash your hands after touching the fish food. And then after our meal, she gave my daughter another container of fish food, and we went out outside and fed the fish for a little bit longer while my husband boxed up the food and paid for our dinner. Plus, the waitress was so sweet to make sure that my daughter got her jacket on before we left. The service with our waitress was outstanding.

Yelp
Great setting in the midst of koi ponds. Decided to try their lunch specials with delicious and different cold soups and spicy pork and beef kalbi. The soups were great and meats good. However, the beef kalbi was very tough and a knife would have been helpful. Service was friendly but slow. Overall a good experience.

Yelp
Sorabol has moved to the old Pagoda restaurant space. The fish ponds could use some TLC. I would recommend getting the Sorabol set menu. It's worth it's value with lots of things share btwn two people. See picture. Spicy tofu stew 4.5 stars Kalbi 4.5 stars Fish Jun 3 stars Meat Jun 3 stars Croaker 3 stars Service was great. We came early so it wasn't busy yet. Food came out quickly. I love the sides that come with korean food. I would come again.

Yelp
I've never tried it at their prior location so this is my first time in general ever trying this restaurant. The location is niiiice! I really love all the greenery & koi fishes outside. The restaurant is HUGE and even had a full bar! It's perfect for big groups or I even saw they had private seating. Few things I ordered: Mandu (5/5): SUPER HUGE! Delicious & Meaty!!! Super crispy and yum craving for this now. Cold noodle (2/5): It was refreshing for a hot summer day but a little more on the sweeter side. I'm not a fan of sweet cold noodle. Kalbi (5/5): Kalbi was amazing! Not the typical Korean cut short ribs but it was really flavorful. Meatjun (4/5): nice thick pieces of meat but the sauce was a little salty for me. Customer service was ON POINT! Very attentive workers and had great friendly service. I can't wait to go again and try other things.

Yelp
I wanted to give 2.5 star this place from my experience. Service was 5 star but food wasn't great enough than service. When we tour in east side of Ohau, our guide recommend this place. My parents wanted go to eat Korean food last dinner in Honolulu so I decided to go this place with my parents. We ordered spicy tofu soup and Spicy fish roe soup, Grilled red tilefish, oysters pancake. Spicy tofu soup wasn't great. Too salty and tastes like nada. I would recommend spicy fish roe soup and Grilled red tilefish. If you going to order spicy tofu soup. Our waitress was super duper friendly and my parents loved the service. Also they felt like knowing her long time ago. This place is big and clean. When you walk to restaurant from entrance you can see there little artificial pond with fish. But there's fish smell a lot. They said valet parking available but we took Uber to go there from our hotel.

Yelp
Good food, good service, and koi pond makes a good photo background. Parking entrance is on Rycroft St side, up the ramp.

Yelp
Dropped in for dinner with family, the ambiance is great. Where the outdoor seating is actually a recreation of where the Korean King used to dine. The food is great, and the service is what you see in Korea, where they treat you like family. If you're in Honolulu, drop in for some Korean food! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Always good food. Everything we ordered was delicious. Serving staff was efficient and helpful as well.

Christina L.

Yelp
We love this restaurant and especially now that they have moved locations. The Koi ponds lend a special atmosphere in addition to the delicious food. We love the kalbi and grilled yellow corvina fish the most. My partner particularly enjoys tongue and the beef tartare. We usually order prepared food but they also have the option for you to grill there. The aunties will usually jump in to help if you need. My partner's family has been coming for decades and they always remember him and ask about his family. We hope they will be around for decades to come.

Yelp
Been coming here for years now. Always come for a quick lunch. Food here is good, especially the soups here. Service is fast and friendly, they also have a nice big koi pond inside this restaurant. Very family friendly place

Yelp
Had lunch today with my sister and brother-in-law. We decided on the new Sorabol now located in the old Pagoda restaurant location. We ordered 3 entrees their Short rib stew , fried Mandoo and meat jun. The short rib stew was very soft fall off the bone little on the sweet side . Meat jun was perfect amount egg batter and yet could taste the marinated meat . Last the fried mandoo was also good nice size and fried perfectly. Their sides (Bachan) was very good . Kim Chee, potato salad, fish cake, bean sprouts, daikon. Meals also comes with seaweed soup and rice . Service was very friendly and efficient food came out pretty quick . Parking either street metered or they validate around the corner in the parking structure. Support local

Yelp
had a really time at Sorabol! service was quick and our auntie was chatty with our group antics. we got seated in one of the separate little houses on the outer edge and although it was a little warm, we appreciated the distance so we didn't have to be self conscious of our noise lol. the seafood and kimchi pancakes are great!! thin enough to be soft without being soggy, and with a nice crispy edge. the sauce is also great on the side. meat jun and fish jun were also tasty, and the mandu was addicting. the only thing that i'm taking a star off for is the combination plate, where you can choose 2 of the 6 meat options. we ordered 3 of these (at $43 each) so that we could get all 6 meats and it was a rip off. the amount of meat we got on those plates would really only serve 2 people...so to pay for 3 of them and barely have enough to go around our table of 12 was disappointing. overall, a good experience and I'd go again. next time I'd just get individual plates of the entrees we like instead of a combo dinner.

Yelp
The ambiance at this location is airy ,bright, and spacious. As opposed to their previous spot. Now it is less bar like and a more family-friendly place. You get a view of the Koi ponds A carryover from the Pagoda Restaurant. The service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. Sadly, I took off a star because the taste of the food wasn't what I remembered. Enjoy.

Harry P.

Yelp
Service: as expected: good service no complaints Ambiance: we were there in a weekday for lunch so it wasn't crowded. It felt clean and the fish pond and great weather made it a great day. Food: everything was good but I am a snob when it come to Yuki-jang (spicy beef soup); it was ok. There wasn't enough stuff (veg or beef) and I expected more from here. Like I said I'm a snob so your mileage may vary.

Kara B.

Yelp
New location is at the Pagoda Hotel, where the buffet used to be with the koi fish pond. I like this location better. My kids love the food here. They can eat their meat jun on a daily. The banchan is served right after you order your food. They give a perfect amount of each one, and they do refill if requested. Meat jun is battered just right, not too floury and not too eggy. The flavor of the meat jun is really good and isn't overpowered with soooo much salt or flavor. I love the soon do bu soup here. Comes with mushroom & lots of tofu, you'll also find ONE clam inside. I've always order this, & every time I get it, there's only one clam. Idk if that's how, but I would love to see at least 4 lol. Anyway, the flavor of the soup is really delicious. Perfect for any day hot or cold. The reason for the minus of star is because the service isn't that great. The mama sans stand at your table until you try the food and tell them it's good. They don't come around often to fill up your water, and sometimes they complain or give you attitude if you ask for more banchan. Another thing is when you are given your total, the mama sans just stand there waiting and waiting for you to pay - it feels rushed and it's rude because they watch you go into your wallet. They can be very rude. Then when it comes to tipping, they wait until you give them an amount that satisfies them, if you don't give a good $, then they get very very rude to you. Anyway, I still would come here because the food is really good.

Elyssa S.

Yelp
First time to try the new location in Pagoda. Food is always 'ono! Love the kalbi, meat Jin and spicy squid! Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you know the taste is always on point. Biggest let down is the soup, can't even comment on the taste because the bowls it came in smelled so bad of bleach. Buy new soup bowls please or rinse them out better.

Keis H.

Yelp
Not a lot of Korean places serve potato salad and this is my go to spot specifically for their potato salad and numerous side dish.

Tony T.

Yelp
Food was delicious service was great and ambiance nice. The service was fast and the food was so tasty. Bbq silken meat Jun combo and Kalbi chim

Max F.

Yelp
The is my favorite place for Korean Food honestly. It's just so damn expensive. They have the best service! They service vegetables, seaweed soup, your entree, and of course the rice tea at the end. They're the best. It's a little smokey, but the ambiance is great.

Mitsuko O.

Yelp
The restaurant is not recommend. Food was expensive and Bad quality. Service was so so. I never go back.

Rachel D.

Yelp
I have been a patron of Sorabol for many years. They have provided me and my family wonderful service for all our meals here. We have celebrated birthdays and graduations and trips away and trips returned; dinner with family and dinner with friends. No matter what size or what craving, we were met with bellies full and sometimes leftovers for tomorrow. I'm glad, even though they relocated from their off Keeaumoku location, they have stayed in a convenient location in town. Whether I was living in Hawaii Kai, Waikiki, Kapolei, or Ewa Beach, it was always a trip well looked forward to.

LooLicious L.

Yelp
Nice ambiance but you can get the same thing for half the price easily. Korean employees so authentic Korean food. Food taste the same as other Korean establishments

Sungju K.

Yelp
I'm sad to say that I was so disappointed by the food I had here. Parking was extremely easy as we went after 6 pm on a weeknight, so we were able to Street park right in front of the restaurant. As you enter the entrance door of the restaurant, you're greeted by a beautiful Japanese garden. You walk over a small bridge that goes over a coy fish pond where it leads you to the actual restaurant door. As we walked in, we were welcomed right away by the hostess who directed us to a table. I noticed straightaway that this placed look pretty authentic with ahjummas serving all the tables, so I was very excited to try their food! The server took our drink and food orders right away (she actually didn't give us any time to go over the menu lol which is normal for Korean restaurants). We ordered pig feet, spicy cold buckwheat noodles, and braised short ribs. All these dishes came out in less than 10 minutes of us ordering, which tells me they were all pre-made. After tasting them, it proved to me again that they all must've been pre-made or were old. The pig feet was cold and tasteless; the cold noodles were not how it was supposed to taste like -- too sweet and sesame oily rather than being vinegary; the braised short ribs was too sweet and tasted like it was made from a frozen meal. Overall, just very disappointing. They do have a large selection of menu though, so I'm looking to try this place out again. However, after hearing from friends and reading all these other negative reviews about this restaurant, I'm not sure if I'll ever be pleased with their food.

Lori L.

Yelp
If you remember the old Sorobol, the new restaurant feels totally different. It's bright and open, and the few times we've been there we've never seen anyone self-grilling, The food, thankfully, is still the same. Get the kalbi, the meat, filleted off the done is tender and juicy. We also like the egg battered fried oysters with their bursts of brininess, and the soondubu served still bubbling in its iron bowl. Service is functional, they get the job done taking your order and brining your food and drinks quickly. Parking is valet only or your luck finding street parking. It's a good place for groups, there is plenty of seating so we've never had to wait for a table.

Ross T.

Yelp
I went there for a meeting and they had offered a set menu of barbecue chicken or meat Jun or Fish jun or Bimbim bap or barbecue meat I decided on the barbecue chicken. Prices were $18.99 for the main dish and bowl rice and batchan what you see on the table was for 4 persons to share. This is the first time going to the new location at the old Pagoda restaurant. They have Elite parking staff handling the parking now and the prices are pretty high, but when I checked in I was informed that if not one was there when I arrive don't worry you don't have to pay for parking. They put in division in the seating area and the spacing was pretty tight because others arrived later had to squeeze in to get to their seats at 8 to a table with divisions now put up you have to go pass the everyone to get to your seat. The barbecue chicken was okay it had flavor, but was on the dry side not moist, and seemed it was not served in awhile because it wasn't even warm even though it came on a cast iron serving tray like the ones they use to bring out the sizzling steaks on. They are doing work on the inside koi pond and partially was closed off and the front pond had no water inside. The meal service was very slow some customers on the same table there wife's or partner got their meals way after they started serving I would say maybe 15 mins after their partner was served. They had lots of groups or parties coming in and they were very busy.

Richard H.

Yelp
Went to Sorabol to satisfy my craving for Kalbi tang. It was good as usual. Also has some brisket, seafood pancake. The banchan make the meal complete and satisfying The staff is very attentive to the customers needs. Great service! The place is always clean and tables are cleared and cleaned efficiently Great place to go to for Korean comfort food

Dana F.

Yelp
The service was not the best. I think you need to be Korean for you to get a more friendly experience. When we asked the waitress if she had any recommendations on what is good to eat since it was our first time, she said "nothing Is Good"! We asked her again and she repeated "nothing!"

Vicky L.

Yelp
It's a very nice and comfortable restaurant, the majority of the customers were older or families. Very casual ambiance and the service was pretty good. The food: you can never go wrong with Korean soups. I love yukgaejang and soondubu. I opted for the yukgaejang and my friend got the soondubu. Delicious soups. I've wanted to try the raw marinated crabs that have been popular lately, so when I saw seasoned raw crab on the menu, I had to get it. Though, to my disappointment, it wasn't marinated crab rather than heavily sauced. And I mean HEAVILY. It was not a pleasant dish. The sauce itself was way too strong and heavy for the delicate raw crab, in addition to the overkill amount of sauce. The side dishes were average as well. Will the day ever come that I try the famous marinated raw crab in Hawaii??? Not sure, but I would revisit this restaurant, avoiding the crab.

Malu B.

Yelp
Best Korean restaurant I have been to. Lots of variety and the ambiance is so cozy. You get to pick a private room if you are with your family or friend. You get to feed their Koi fish too.

Marques R.

Yelp
I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years! We moved away in 14 but have visited a couple times since. But on this last visit we didn't realize they had moved to the Pagoda hotel. I was so sad when I drove by and saw nothing at the old location when we got here a couple of days ago. But when I found out they moved to a location I was extremely happy and had to go visit. As far as their food, well this place is always a go to for me and my family. Kwon is our go to waitress. She has been taking care of us in years. We typically never have to tell her what we want to order because it's always the same. I was so happy to see she was still there! Seafood Pancake Butterfish Intestine stew Galbi jjim I definitely miss coming here! They need to have one in Irvine!

Debra N.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite Korean restaurants. I always come when I fly back because I miss any oriental food. Reminder, they are at Pagoda Hotel and renovated. It's much more roomy and more areas for a private parties. Staff: They are very friendly and accommodating. Drinks: Ice water, roasted green tea Appetizers: They serve pickled daikon and other vegetables, Kimchee, fish cakes, potato salad, and, seaweed soup at no additional cost which we love. We order purple rice (black and white rice) mixed with kidney and one Navy bean on top...very nutritious. Nori is ordered along this. Bulgogi (tasty) Mahi-mahi fried fish (dipping sauce...so delish)!!! Huge Mandoo (filled three times the size of a regular size. That's enough to feed two people plus left overs! We ordered extra round of pickled veges again..full round. We are full...Miss Piggy!!! We ended our meal with refreshing rice water...clears your palate. Be blessed everyone! Ciao!!!

Yelp
My uncle and his family were visiting from Seattle. They made reservations for a family dinner. I was excited as I hadn't been there in a few years and wanted to try out their new location at Pagoda Floating Restaurant. Yes, the koi fishes are still around. The food was excellent. We ordered the seafood pancake, kalbi, braised kalbi, bbq chicken, fish jun, and jap chae. It also came with complimentary banchan that was refillable. My favorite dish had to be the braised kalbi. It was nicely seasoned and very tender. The grilled kalbi was a little tough, especially near the bone area. If you're not familiar with Sorabol, they serve the big boned kalbi. The prices are ridiculous these days. The plate of three big boned kalbi was $39 and so was the braised version. We ended our meal with complimentary sweet rice and ginger drink to cleanse the palate. The lady server was nice. She made recommendations when we were ordering and she refilled our banchan without us asking.

Kelsey S.

Yelp
The food was pretty tasty and was served pretty quick but the service was lacking. It was pretty difficult to even flag down a waitress for water or utensils despite many of them being around. It seemed as if they would ignore you on purpose. We were the only family in there not speaking Korean though (we are Korean, but my grandma was the only one there who would be able to speak/understand).

Kyllie N.

Yelp
Sorabol is one of my family & I's staples when it comes to Korean food. My favorites consist of the kim chee chige, mandoo kooksoo, & ahnchang for korean bbq. The service is always great here, with all of the friendly koren aunties. Ambiance wise, the restaurant is located in the Pagoda hotel, which is not the nicest hotel, but it still looks ok. It definitely looks like a typical korean restaurant, which I love.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Tried the spicy pork, it was good. Had a good level of spicy, tender pork but still some chew to it (I hate super soft food textures). However I wish it had some char to it. Seaweed soup and banchan still consistent and delicious.

Tin Lung C.

Yelp
First time visit this new location after they moved. They have free parkings, two levels. The bottom level parking has a lot of signs saying that you got to scan and pay, but when I asked the restaurant they said it is free so it's a little bit confusing. The restaurant is pretty big, I don't need to wait to get a table on a Saturday night. My wife ordered her usual beef intestines stew (gopchang chi-me) she said it is better than Seoul Garden. I ordered the bibimbap, it comes in a steaming hot stone bowl, perfect! Some restaurant serve with a not too hot stone bowl that make the whole experience difference. My rice was hot throughout the entire dinner. We also order this fried fish called - Ogden Goo-e, it was very tasty, however, the dish only have one piece of fish and when we get the bill, it is $30. (We did not check the price when we ordered because we don't know the name of the fish, we just told the lady the fried fish and she ordered for us) We thought this is a little bit too expensive for just one piece of fish. May be we will skip this next time. The service was good, friendly staffs that check on us all the time and refill our side dishes. At the end, I have left over rice to take home, they charged me $1 for the box, may be cheaper to leave the rice there and cook new rice at home, LOL. Overall, my wife like this place and for sure we will go back again. Recommended.

Catherine W.

Yelp
I'm so glad Sorabol didn't close for good but just relocated to across the street! They are located at Pagoda hotel now. Valet parking only but plenty street parking outside. Besides the location, I feel like everything else is the same. Still the same group of aunties taking your order and serving you food. They can be pushy sometimes but they are also very efficient and attentive at the same time. I like them. Food is till good. Love their banchan I always request extra. My go to is tofu chigae. Lots of clams and tofu is very soft. Not too spicy. Also love their Kalbi and pancakes. Kalbi not overcooked at all. Meat was very tender but at the same time had the perfect charred smoky flavor. I didn't really get to try other dishes but based on the few dishes that I have tried I'm pretty confident that everything on the menu should be good. And you get to see so many koi outside the restaurant!

Monica Y.

Yelp
Got to check out Sorabol's new location at the Pagoda! I made a reservation just in case it was crowded and I'm glad I did. When we got there we got seated right away. They have the menus already on the table and they bring you your water and take your order right away (maybe a little soon because we didn't even have a chance to look at the menu). The menu items and pricing seemed pretty similar from their former location. I got the tofu chigae and my friend got the cold noodles. We both enjoyed are dishes. And of course, gotta have the banchans! We also got an order of the mandoo to share. I love that the mandoo is the thick ones not the small frozen gyoza looking ones. The waitresses were very attentive and kept coming to check on us. And to end our meal they gave us the ginger tea which is my favorite! We took a walk around the outside after dinner & it was so nice to see the all the koi's still there and the landscape still the same. The only downside is the parking, there's no lot so you either have to find meter parking or you can valet. Nonetheless, great place and I'm sure we'll be back.

Yelp
I like the old place. Better: food and ambiance. Seemed pricey if not ordering a bowl of noodles.

Yelp
We love it so much we've been coming here for years. This our third time actually at the new location (Pagoda Hotel). The fish are still here and the atmosphere is casual and calm. Valley parking available but I always park on the street. There seems to have a parking spot available each time we come here. I thought it would be packed because this is the best place for Korean food and it's Father's Day but it was pretty empty. Let me list our fave's: Kalbi- perfect marination, perfection cook and soooo Ono. Meat Jun- just the perfect bit. The dipping sauce is nice and fresh and housemade. Seafood Pancake- so many textures and flavors. It's a winner. The banchan selection is always perfection. Sangchu- add the light freshness to the meal. Definitely must have this with any meat. Soju- yogurt flavored, so delicious and not too strong. Just right. The Serb is quick and they'll explain anything you need to know. Sometimes they'll suggest too faves if you don't already have something in mind. Love the atmosphere with the koi fish. Ask for a window seat on the far end of the entrance so that you can see the fish and turtles. Simply peaceful. This place is just simply amazing and a must try. Oh yes they even give the ginger rice water at the end of your meal.

Yelp
Although I'll miss the nostalgic place of Sorabol at their old location (you know, the place to go after every club night or concert lol) I like the new place. Seems alot more roomier and bright. Food hasn't changed taste wise but I think some of the prices went up a bit. I thought Kal-bi was around 2 something- is but now it's over 30 bucks per order. Anyways, we still love Sorabol! P.S. Parking can get tough..gotta park on the street

Yelp
Sorabol is back and it's just as good as it ever was. You have to give 5 stars to a place where you have been going for over 20 years and have always been treated like family. I have seen the food change over time but their mainstay dishes are some of the best. My wife and I get some of the very best service at Sorabol. Now they are in Pagoda and there's a valet which costs $3. Worth it for not having to try and find parking. The feel is a more spacious place but less private. I haven't seen how they do table top cooking, but I don't see the usual grills built into the tables or the exhaust pipes coming from the ceiling so I am interested in how they are doing that.... Sorabol is like family, a place where you know you will get good food and there's genuinely nice people working there. Check out the new place!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I wanted to go to Korean eats my only day off from caretaking! Since Sorobol moved to Pagoda Floating Restaurant after their former location residence for years demolished fur high rises. We thought that they had Yakiniku grilling only to find out it's fine in the kitchen a but disappointed. My girlfriend ordered fried fish, for me coldreimein and toppoki. Their kimchi served I know it's for locals whereas if they're Korean clientele it's spicer which I like mines spicy. The fried fish my first time to eat it was so delicious I ordered takeout for my mom. They also served us sweet rice tea which was an excellent treat! I like the ambience of the old restaurant except now serving Korean food.
