Sorsele River Hotel

Perfect place to spend the afternoon and lovely staff 🙏 After a 7-days hike in the Kungsleden, we had to reach Arvidsjaur from Ammarnäs by bus. We had to wait 7 hours in Sorsele between our 1st and 2nd bus. Someone at the bus station told us that we could ask the Sorsele River if we could stay there to wait for our bus connection... so we went there and were surprised by the warm welcome. They allowed us to stay all the afternoon, so we decided to take the buffet (about 135kr per person). There was not a lot of choices but the food was nice with vegetarian options. We really liked the lingonberry juice and the potatoes smör. Thank you for allowing us to stay, tack!

We have only been here for dinner and it was very nice. |Good atmosphere, good price and delicious food. The service was uncomplicated and fast. |For dinner, food buffet, coffee and tea, cold drinks and dessert was included.|Would strongly recommend!

We stopped for the lunch buffet. It cost about 130kr, and is basically eat as much as you want. Coffee and biscuits are included. Ok quality for the price. Looks like there would be a nice view out the window but it was dark so hard to see much except the frozen river.

We were only there for dinner. The hotel is nicely located at the river with beautiful views from the dining area. On the night we had dinner here, there was a buffet dinner for 120 SEK per person. There was a choice of salade and a soup as starters and then different main courses (fish, shepareds pie, rice or other sides) and they even had cookies and tea or coffe for dessert. For an extra cost we were able to purchase some beers at the reception. Over all we received a lot of food for our money and the food quality was great!

I had a lunch buffet in hotels restaurant which was just potatoes and bacon with sauce and some veggies (mostly potatoes) with bits of meat and other veggies. If you dont speak swedish its better if you look first into the dishes to see what you are paying for. Potatoes and bacon for 130sek? Im gonna pass next time.

The most perfect hotell! It is old but maintained. Lays beautifull by the national river of sweden. Got splendid food and a staff better than any Michelin restaurant.

Rooms are ok, however the bathroom is like something from your grannies house anno 1970. Place is clean and the smoking room is amazing.||The place was very quiet. The worst part was the food which was average at best. Reindeer burger served was barely luke warm but at least the produce was ok.||Breakfast ok.

We stayed here when it was -29 degrees outside, so the hotel was an oasis of warmth. The property is relatively basic but everything is a good standard. The reception is small, the bar is cosy and the restaurant food is excellent. The rooms are very warm, considering the temperatures outside. My bed was a single, so not having seen the other rooms, I’m not sure if this is standard. The hotel has an igloo in it’s grounds which they use a bar for functions. They also have an outdoor hot tub which in these temperatures was awesome.
