Great food in a great location. The octopus was delicious but a little too salty. The steaks looked great, and I ordered the lemon chicken which was really tender and tasty. The chimmi churi sauce is the best!

Very tasty food! Every dish we ordered was excellent. (Except the Scotch Fillet - it was tough and had lots of veins) Pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere. Some better vegetarian options would improve choice.

Outstanding service! We didn’t catch our waiter’s name, but she was incredibly kind and helpful. The food was delicious, and we’ll definitely be back soon!

The empanadas were delicious and the beef fillet was perfectly char grilled and amazing! I would order it any day of the week. And on an extremely busy night the service was still spot on and the food came out quickly.

Definitely not coming again, the food wasn't Argentinan flavours, Mayo with olives, the meat we found out is cooked all medium, which if i had know we wouldn't have made a booking. if you're spending $60per person i I think you should have the option of how you would like your meat cooked.Did end up getting the beef cooked medium rare..... OK chefs can't cook meat. We got blue. It's really sad, that the food put a really bad teast in our mouth, it says its charcoal cooked, definitely missed the mark on that. And don't add the off mushrooms, it was so over heated to many times. The only thing I liked was spending time with my family.

Google
Not extremely impressed, got mixed grill platter for two some meats were very chewy and dry ! Some were okay. Patatas bravas was nice and pasta was okay.

Google
The only negative, is the portions are too large, if that is a negative. Had the platter for two with calamari, beef and chicken. The meat was tender and rare perfect and calamari was light n crispy and melted in my mouth. Loved it.

We walked in without a booking after watching the Tour Down Under criterium around the corner. We had dined there a couple of years ago and returned hoping for a similar experience. It was hot outside and the staff had turned the cooling up high and notwithstanding we told our waiter we were freezing, we were unable to enjoy the atmosphere as we too busy trying to warm up. We discovered why other guests were repeatedly heading to the toilets (the entrance was just near our table) as when the first of us went we found the one warm area in the restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and helped with our delicious food choices - a Sosta Shared Platter for our three seafood eaters and the Angus Scotch Steak with blue cheese sauce for myself. Three shared the platter and struggled to finish it while I enjoyed my steak. The wine, beer and soft drink choice were excellent and I enjoyed my Nero D'Avolo from Sicily with my steak. Hopefully next time we visit the room temperature will be better regulated.

Yelp
Good Food Walked in off the street, place was empty! They gave us a table as long as we were out by 8.30pm - REALLY This was a Tuesday night and empty, but REALLY, YES! Within an hour this place was packed and they were turning people away! Pros Friendly helpful staff Food good, although blue cheese sauce a bit runny! Cons Cold plates so the food gets cold quickly!

Yelp
Great customer service but for the price, I would expect my steak to actually be cooked medium rare not still have a heart beat. Also having customers served their meal before we received ours. Not happy when I have heard nothing but good reviews.

Yelp
In Adelaide for business- Sunday night at 730p; Food looks & smells good at other tables; I was seated quickly, however noticed service was slow for all diners. Lamb was very tasty as was mixed green salad with good portions. Found steak knife to be quite dull, which was surprising ....

Yelp
Sosta has never failed me. I love Argentinian food, but can't always afford it. Sosta is not too pricy, yet provides quality meals every time. The interior is clean and crisp, but not overly elegant or sophisticated. I find it a great place for family dinners, catching up with old friends, or a casual meal with a date without it being too fancy. It fits well into the nightlife atmosphere of Rundle St, with outdoor seating also available. I love seafood. Every time I order the King Prawns here, they have been delicious with the perfect balance of lime, garlic and chilli. I have also ordered the Cordero (lamb loin chops), which were mouth-wateringly tender and aromatic. In terms of dessert, you can't go wrong with the Churros.

Yelp
Amazingly busy, so do book , we didn't and they fitted us in, just. Lovely Argentine food and menu Fast service with a chat & a smile Chairs a bit low and hard. Well worth a visit or two

Yelp
Sosta's is actually pretty nice, although I think it gets defeated mostly by its location/environment. Went here for a Valentines Day date with my SO at the time, we ended up having to be seated at the front of the restaurant, right in the window. Due to that location (and the fact Valentines is a busy day for Rundle St in particular), we had the noise from the general chatter in the restaurant compounded with the street noise. This made our time there very loud and very hard to have any kind of conversation, I would definitely reccomend making sure to sit at the rear end of the restaurant. Other than that, the menu was interesting, if not limited. For Valentines Day they had a specialised menu/set meal that was the only thing you could order (Entree through to Dessert in one). All of the food was new and interesting and tasty, all of the flavours were very well done, there were no overwhelming flavours from memory. The drinks menu was good, too, plenty of local and international wines and beers available. TL;DR Make sure you sit in the rear of the restaurant if you can, otherwise it is very loud. Food and service is good, 7.5/10 would recommend

Yelp
We were here tonight for a friend's farewell tea. We had our hope heaps high but unfortunately it didn't quite turn out to be as what we expected...at all! We ordered a serve of calamari for entree and it was absolutely lovely and enough for three of us to share. For mains, we had mixed seafood platter, medium rare grilled Tasmanian rump steak and vege salads. Food arrived reseasonably fast and the presentations are quite pleasant. However the night went downhills from there...A piece of disgusting dark hair was spotted in our mixed seafood dish and it was stacked underneath the cucumber+rocket side salads. Like What the ? But wait, that's not even the worst part. After complaining to the waiter about what happened at our table, he took the dish straight to the kitchen and came out with an unapologetic attitude and claiming that no one works in the kitchen has dark hair... Seriously, are you suggesting that we planted that piece of hair in our own food and tried to get a free dinner( just for the record, I have ombré hair and my other girlfriend has light brown hair.. And the hair we found at the bottom of the bowl was thick long black hair) ?? Grow up man.. After that, he kinda just cleaned all our dishes without acknowledging no body at the table even tho we still had some steak left on the plate. Screw it. No one could be bothered to say a word at that point anyways. So we decided to fix the bill and get out of there asap(we were left there with deep disappointment and a silent treatment from the waiters) and finally we had this so called well experienced waiter over...how he handled the whole situation just blew our minds. We started off asking him how would he react if he's out with friends and found hair in his food. He answered confidently with 'yeah I will be fine with it..' We were just gutted and had no idea how to respond to that shitty attitude.. And he pointed out that he already took the dish off the bill for us and sounded like it's really a no biggie... Hey silly clown, let me just make it clear here that we are not just unhappy with this disgusting food that ur fine dining restaurant served.. It's more of your flipping shitty attitude and how Y'll handled the whole shenanigan.. I'm not trying to sound like an asshole here but what you said and how your worded it really pissed us off and we will NEVER be back again even though we sincerely think the food was quite decent. But for the price we are paying for, no one deserves that treatment under that circumstance.. Also not to mention..just to give u a reminder that you took the side dish salad off the bill instead of the mixed seafood which includes the salad that we found hair in... One is 14 bucks and the latter one is damn $60.. No complementary dessert offered or any nice gestures after the accident (being a part time waitress myself with less than 3yo experience, even me knew how to handle something like this at our restaurant. How dare you claim that u have longer that 15yo hospitality experience.. Shame on you and jokes on you too!!) . Nevertheless, we really expected more from you Sosta and u let us down completely. It was the worst FINE dining experience we've had so far since we landed in this country.. Good luck with the business and plz never let this happen to any other customers.. That's all we ask for!

Yelp
It's because I'm young and uncultured, I know. I really ought to grow up, mature, and develop 'proper' tastes. This is what I feel every single time I dine somewhere that charges thirty dollars for a meal. I know I sound cheap, but I've yet to taste the value spouted by the menu. All I wanted was a steak. I'm not buying a car. I'm not buying a house. I'm not buying a blu-ray. Hell, a blu-ray lasts me two hours. Then there are consecutive viewings. A meal lasts me thirty seconds. Oh, really? I'm not SAVouring the meal? There's is a reason taste is so pleasurable to us, fellow human beings. We need the nourishment to survive. So, hurry up and survive. Don't sit there abusing the activities our body makes pleasurable for their necessity. Go and experience the irrational pleasures. Go and experience things that don't make sense. Like art. That's what your money should be spent on. (The steak was good, though.)

Yelp
If you want steak in Rundle St, then this is the place to be! Sosta Argentinian Kitchen is THE place to get a great steak in Adelaide CBD. It is a little on the pricey side, but this is for the quality of the food. The only problem I had was that there were not a lot of options for the less meat loving among our group. I for one, dont particularly eat a lot of steak - so I was looking for something else on the menu, and there was not a lot of choice at all. The side salad that I pretty much ended up eating as my main, was lovely, but it was pretty much the only option. I probably wont be returning to Sosta in a hurry - but only becasue I dont particularly enjoy a big juicy steak. But if you do - then definitely give this one a try :)

Yelp
My partner and I are here over the weekend and we were very pleasantly surprised by not only the delicious meal, but the great service. We ordered a platter for 2, every last bit of the meal was delicious and we left feeling incredibly satisfied. Money well spent, highly recommend.

Yelp
This place is a bit expensive, but its well worth it. The Paella and Steak dishes are popular it seems. The Paella took about 40 min. from the time of ordering for them to prepare and serve. The portions are HUGE! It took a little over an hour for my wife and I to finish the dish. It was all served inside of a hot pan with the option to use smaller plates on the side ;) We ate directly out of the pan at times. In the middle of the pan, the rice and seafood was soft and moist. At the edge of the pan, the meat, rice and seafood mix were slightly burnt. Scraping the crispy burnt part of the Paella at the edge of the pan was the best part. Reservation is recommended

Yelp
Yum Walked in, didn't need res, were warmly welcomed and took a seat at the sidewalk - it happened to be the night of the annual Zombie Walk, which went right by the restaurant. My Scotch fillet was cooked medium rare - juicy, very nice ancho sauce. I ordered horseradish on the side just to see if it passed the "where are my sinuses" test, and while the spiciness wasn't there (fail) the flavor was (pass). Remember: the horseradish was unnecessary. The ancho sauce was terrific. My young son ordered chips, which he gobbled down. My eldest son ordered two appetizers: mussels in a sauce of chilli, garlic, olive oil and Italian parsley, and mushrooms sautéed in garlic, lemon and parsley - both were simply fabulous. The friendly wait staff offered to bring out bread to soak up the mussel sauce and ... oh yeah. Beautiful. My wife ordered veggies of the day: asparagus and broccoli. Cooked crisp, not overdone. Nice. Dessert was churros and chocolate dipping sauce. Churros were light and fresh. Chocolate was warm and smooth textured. We shall return!

Yelp
Been many times over the years including having my birthday, a 25 - 30 person function upstairs. Service is excellent and after a few minor slip-up's by the other big name steak venue's in the CBD, this is now my #1 and certainly the place I bring people to that are visiting from out of town. They serve rekorderlig cider here which seems to be MIA at other steak venues- a definite plus for me. The mixed grill has a better selection of meats and serving size compared to other venues. The paella is top notch and all steaks, even on the cheaper side of the menu always seem to be very good cuts and cooked to perfection. Definitely #1 in the CBD , look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
The tapas is pretty good. We had the empanadas, chorizo (not that great, tasted like a kransky), albondigas (delicious meatballs) and a salad. We finished with Crema Catalana, although I am purist when it comes to this dessert, the Crema was excellent. I drank Leo Buring Riesling by the glass and my friend had Birra Moretti. I'd definitely return. My only thumbs down is the coffee, it's atrocious. A disappointing way to end a fantastic meal. Burnt and not the best coffee brand. Hope they improve on that.

Yelp
Delicious meal and great service!! Time between ordering and meals arriving was about slow but worth it. No need for starters as the meals are massive. You can have one meat platter between three people!!! Would definitely recommend as a good meaty restaurant !!

Yelp
Went here once. Ordered a chicken dish and a beef dish. Restaurant was crowded and noisy. Complained about people at the next table but nothing was done to fix my issues. Service was slow and unenthusiastic. Prices were very expensive, and not worth paying. I won't be returning in a hurry, or recommending this place to friends or relatives. Service needs great improvement in both enthusiasm and attitude!

Yelp
Just back from Sostas, the restaurant is warm welcoming and the staff friendly. The service seemed slow, but I'm sure that's because steak this thick takes ages to cook. 3 of our party had 600gm steaks, porterhouse, Tbone and Rump, these were all cooked perfectly and very tasty. I had a grilled flounder which was light and delicious. The cheese plate and dessert profiteroles were amazing. The meal was very good, but I felt it was very expensive.

Yelp
My second visit whilst visiting ADELAIDE. Of-course it's the fringe so one of the rare occasions there were more than a dozen people wandering around. I sat outside, arriving early around 5.45pm. Ordered a fillet steak, assorted salad and water, as I'm on medical instructions to avoid alcohol for 3 months. It became busy, I was astonished at the large platters all around me, and the amount of food left uneaten ? Perhaps it was the length of time to get served as I'm sure many had shows to attend. Frankly for basically a non local ... $11.00 for a bottle of water that I never ordered was a bit rich, loose leaf mixed salad $15..... nothing more than lettuce leaves and 2-3 small pieces of tomato and cucumber. Virtually no dressing. The Bill $71.40 ?? No wine and just water that cost me $11 for the privilege. When the lady asked me did I want to click on 'tip' on the iPad, I must admit I scoffed a bit, I mentioned the water ... apparently a French specialty? which I never ordered there was just silence. The poor younger lady running around had tunnel vision for preparing and cleaning tables, oblivious to the many customers, some Asian groups eating seafood platters !! Suffice to say I won't be back and going by the people sitting on both sides of me, neither will they. Melbourne is not cheap, but you get quality and service, both missing here in spades !!

Yelp
Argentinan cuisine is something I'm not familiar with, well until I went to Sosta's. Everything here was scrumptious. Everything here was involved well-cooked, juicy, and succulent meats too. The waiters have the utmost patience with dealing with the meat temperature requests, of which the kitchen seemed to nail with no send backs. Get hearty meal, share some tapas, there are so many choices your head will spin. Though a bit pricey for a steak, each of your thirty odd dollars will be worth it. It's very filling, pop those belt buckles afterwards.

Bobby M.

Yelp
Excellence. At a price. And I don't say that in the negative sense. If you like meat, but also want a fine dining experience this is the place for you. Hell, you can even take a date/gf/so here and get you're meat fix without upsetting those of a more feminine appetite. Something for everyone. Not the cheapest, as mentioned, but highly recommended none the less.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Went to Sosta expecting a similar experience to Gauchos. Was very disappointed service was slow, we had the meat platter for two it was all over cooked. Worst meal ever inedible.
