We visited without buying tickets in advance but we arrived mid-morning and could go in straightaway. It wasn't busy at all. Because of the amount of rainfall in the days prior to our visit, there was a lot of water in the gorge, making the rapids very spectacular. It's fun that they give you a hardhat the beginning, you scan your ticket and you're basically on your own. The views are gorgeous and it is an easy hike through the gorge itself. The way back, we would have liked to take the slightly longer but easier walk back but that was closed due to construction. Instead, we had to take the way up the mountain. It would have been nice to be informed of this as I was traveling with someone who struggles with hiking

Booked our time slot and parked at the first parking bay. Was easy to get into the gorge with the efficient buses. Food and coffee/drinks served in the gorge and at the entrance/exit. Absolutely stunning must see if your debating definitely book. We booked the day before. Would recommend waiting 20minutes or so after your time slot opens to have a quieter experience. Lots of beautiful wild life to explore one the walk back 😊 We didn't bring hiking shoes just reef shoes/ thongs. Was nice easy walk, a little uphill to get out of the gorge but you can catch a bus back as an option. We walked back and it was beautiful ❤️

Terrific views. Very nice walk. The entry fee is very reasonable. A must if you visit Bled. But, getting back to your car or tour bus is a very long walk up very steep steps and is very poorly marked.

Beautiful hike worth the trip. The website was difficult to understand in regards to parking. I recommend adding GPS pin or coordinates. Getting there early helps avoid large groups. There is a snack shack at either end of the gorge hike. The wooded tree hike return trip has a lot of stairs to climb, but it is shaded and has qr codes that tell you about the surrounding area. From parking area 1 at 8am, it took only 6 minutes by bus to get to the main area and 11 to return. Parking at parking lot 1 is only 5 euro. Lovely time all around.

Fascinating creation of nature, definitely buy tickets online. Car can be parked close and shuttle will carry you up to the entrance. HOWEVER, you can never see that once you entered you have to come back with an intermediate hike on a different route in order to complete the ‘circle’, this is how the roughly 3 hrs trip adds up.

Visited Vintgar Gorge in August of 2024 and I would definitely recommend it! For 10€ you can walk around a trail with amazing waterfalls and beautiful views! They offer free shuttle to get there and back in town and helmets for you to use during the trail. We booked for the 15h30/15h50 time slot and it wasn't very crowded, but maybe the rain helped with that Maybe it would be a little bit safer if the wooden floor wasn't so slippery, but that's the only suggestion.

Amazing views. Very easy to walk but keep in mind that the return is challenging. If you choose the side of St. Katherine, it has very long climb. Not sure about the other path. Get tickets online in advance. You may be asked to park at remote location and take the shuttle.

a great place for a walk, you will need comfortable shoes and preferably non-slippery, the walk is long and takes about 2 hours. with an ascent of about (30 floors for the entire route) You can park your car at p1 (5 €) then the shuttle will take you to the entrance to the park. At the entrance to the park you can buy coffee or water and start your route along the river. At the entrance you will be given a helmet. At the end of the route there will also be a coffee bar, this is about a 25-minute walk. Here you will return the helmet. After you go up and the route ends near a cafe (p3). Here you can have a snack and a drink. If you do not want to go back, then you should worry and order a shuttle for an additional fee in advance. We chose to walk back and the route passes through a picturesque forest already on the mountain above the river.
