Google
One of the best restaurants that Bristol has to offer, all the dishes are absolutely mind blowing, flavours are really balanced, the atmosphere is really friendly and the service is top notch. Every time I go to have dinner there I just keep praising how good it is!!

Google
The flavours were incredible and loved the mezze style of the dishes, there is something for everyone. I really enjoyed the hummus, it was extraordinary and dare I say the best I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was really chilled and really enjoyed dining here. I highly recommend to anyone considering visiting.

Great quality, probably the best hummus I ever had. Fried cauliflower were good, the butternut squash even better. The fish was good but a lot of fishbones. The dark chocolate dessert was delicious.

Absolutely brilliant food! We tried almost everything on the menu and it was all fantastic! I think easily this became my favourite restaurant in Bristol! Shout out to Habben for his hospitality and making our night a bit more fun!

Google
A local spot that's as good as it's always been. Punchy, varied flavours and skilled cooking. Their lunch time menu also offers excellent value and quick service, so well worth stopping by if you're on North Street.

Google
An absolute must visit in Bristol. Still recovering from all the amazing food. It feels like a great night out. A lovely waiter managed to squeeze us in for a booking even though they were packed on a Thursday evening. A wonderful waitress was serving us and another third waiter brought his enthusiasm and humour to our tables. In regards to food itself I have 3 words... FAN, TAS, TIC!

Yelp
This is one of my favourite places for a weekend breakfast/brunch. The breakfast menu changes occasionally but "the local" full English is always on the menu for when you are not feeling adventurous. The other options include cured salmon, and a veggie breakfast - I'm not a vegetarian but decided to go for the veggie breakfast on this visit and it was exquisite, a mix of seasonal wild mushrooms including hedgehog mushrooms & ceps with poached eggs on sourdough toast with harrisa. Just hope it's still on next time I visit. My only complaint about this place is that they don't open until 10am at the weekend

Yelp
The Soul Kitchen is a busy little place on North Street, opposite the Taobacco Factory. I'm not too keen on the slightly antiseptic, utilitarian appearances, but the staff and food are great. I used to call in quite regularly when I lived on Coronation Road, slipping out slyly in the mornings for a coffee and a snack, to get some air into my lungs before returning to a nicotine fug and rabid writing sessions later on. I'd been commissioned to write an incredibly challenging book, and sought some sanity at Souk. I would dolefully leave after about an hour, chanting, 'writing, writing, writing, raw eyed', all the way home. The gentile serving staff always made me feel welcome, and were always willing to accommodate my every whim, happily making my coffee just how I like it. Nevertheless, I'm not sure if I would have visited so regularly if it weren't for the fact that the Tobacco Factory doesn't open till twelve noon. Perhaps I would. I've grown rather fond of everyone who works there, and their sweet snacks are delicious.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant! Glad there's a new one in Clifton as I live on the opposite side of the city. They have a children menu.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of this place, and it's been a while since I've been. Today it was a lunch experience with a good friend. It's bright and airy, super friendly, with a great selection of choices on the menu - I opted for the merguez sausages, with rose couscous - so delicious. The menu has changed recently, and I have to say all the options looked absolutely mouth watering. I shall be back, although if you're considering going on an evening - make sure you book - this is a popular restaurant, and rightly so.

Yelp
I have been a fan of souk kitchen for many years and I've always enjoyed their souk eggs for breakfast so imagine my horror when I went there on Saturday only to find that the menu had changed and souk eggs were no where to be seen !! I was disappointed but decided to be positive and instead ordered smoked salmon with feta and avadcado on sour dough bread - souk eggs !! What souk eggs!! Seriously that smoked salmon, home cured, was one of the best things I've tasted in ages. I can't stop thinking about how delicious it was and I want it again - now!!

Yelp
This is a very nice alternative to the norm. Especially the shakshuka for brunch. I can thoroughly recommend it with a pot of mint tea. At night the Persian fish curry is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful

Yelp
What a find. If you like Lebanese/Middle eastern flavours and styles you'll Love this. The interior is in keeping with the cooking region and the atmosphere is lively and informal. The service is friendly and the staff are always happy to explain some of the unfamiliar dishes/spices etc. We shared 4 mezes which have us a good variety of flavours and things to try. Lots of lovely Smoky aubergine, spicy tomato, garlicky yoghurt, delicious buttery flatbreads, and watch out for the chilli! I had lamb skewers with some kind of rice which was like a combo between brown rice and couscous - delicious. The special, mutton, was particularly good with a lovely colourful selection of pickled veg. At £35 each (which did include 2 bottles of wine) I thought it was great vfm and will be back.

Yelp
It's difficult to get a table unless you book in advance, we managed to get one on Sunday evening. Very chilled out atmosphere, with helpful waiters. We had the flatbreads with a selection of three dips, carrot, lentil and white bean which was so silky and light. We then had fried cauliflower, dukkah and yoghurt which had an excellent amount of sweetness and spice, as well as feta cheese and beans!

Yelp
I have been there several times and have to be honest that this place isn't to my taste. I thought I had experienced an off day the first time I went therefore I went back again, and my experience was exactly the same! Food was substandard and cold... when I told this to the staff, it had seem they didn't want to help and treated me as if I was a fussy customer or something!? I felt the toilets were unhygienic and messy! You only have to go to the kitchen and see how clean it is to see what it is like in the kitchen.... I just didn't want to think about it..... it just made me wonder that if the toilet was in this state, what was the state of their kitchen???

Yelp
This restaurant seems surprisingly under-reviewed, given its high quality and low price. The quality is really amazing, and I say that as someone who eats Middle Eastern food routinely at home, as my wife is Egyptian. I like the atmosphere, the place is usually full-ish, i.e., when we arrive we seem to be offered the last free table (but never have to wait) - in my book that's ideal, I prefer a restaurant where there is buzz and I can watch other people. On Sunday there's Sunday newspapers, a nice touch. The staff are super-friendly. I find the seating comfortable, the accoustics good, so you are not overwhelmed by the noise of the other customers. The food is really, really excellent. This is not just some formulaic Middle Eastern food place, here a talented and intuitive chef has experimented and thought about the ingredients and the whole production process has been managed so that the food comes right every time. Three notes: 1 The food is inexpensive. Really. 2 You won't need to order a big dish. You'll find that one of the smaller or cheaper dishes is quite enough. 3 You'll have fun. This is an enjoyable place. I suppose that's one reason why it is always fullish, people like being here, they know they'll be able to afford it, they know they'll be able to hear each other speak and be comfortable AND they'll have a great meal.
