I might be biased because I design for Soukie Modern, but walking into this shop is a whole vibe. It always has something that you just need to buy. From their unique button down shirts, to the graphic tees, there is always something you want to take home. The textures, the colors, the way everything feels… it’s just next level. It’s the kind of style that makes you feel effortlessly cool and connected to the high desert. So proud to be part of this special spot.

Soukie Modern has the most beautiful rugs! Every color and size imaginable. The store itself transports you to Morocco with vibrant colors and textiles all around. We needed a rug for under our dining table and Taib was extremely helpful in finding the perfect one. He even gave us step by step instructions on how to best care for it and wash over time. We couldn’t be happier with our rug! Thank you Soukie Modern!

We own several Soukie Modern rugs but this is our favorite. The colors are so vibrant, and the design is so elevated. All of the rugs are of the most superior quality and the customer service is second to none. They are luxurious statement pieces but also practical and destined to be heirloom. This one in particular is such a show stopper.

Definitely modern vibe. The clothes here are cute. I would recommend checking this store out. Its kind of hidden versus the other stores on the strip.

I’ve bought several Soukie rugs and would never go anywhere else. Incredibly wide selection of beautiful and authentic Moroccan rugs imported by the owner (who also happens to be a lovely person).

I recently visited Soukie Modern while wandering through Pioneertown and found a sweater I fell in love with for a gift for a family member. The quality was fantastic and the price was more than fair. Of course I messed up and got the recipient the wrong size, but got in touch with the owner, Taib, who offered to send me via mail a new size along with a return label for the wrong one (as I live two hours away). Talk about going beyond the call of duty! I am extremely grateful and will be returning whenever I am in Pioneertown/Joshua Tree.

Soukie Modern in Pioneertown is such a special place! I took a workshop there and have not stopped raving about the experience to anyone who will listen. It was cool learning about the history of berber rug weaving and testing out the different techniques. Taib made a small loom for me and allowed me to select whatever yarn I wanted. I was able to take these back in my carry-on so I can make my own art piece using what I learned. Thank you so much, I’ll definitely be back.

I originally went because I heard the rugs were amazing (they are SO GOOD!), but then I also found their section of beautiful caftans that scream chic poolside Palm Springs relaxation. Double whammy! The prices are good and match the quality of the products and the owner is incredibly knowledgable and friendly. I love to stop by every time I'm in town.
