Soul Bar & Bistro in Auckland offers an exceptional dining experience that combines incredible food with a stunning waterfront view. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stylish and vibrant atmosphere, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let you take in the beautiful harbor while you dine. The service was outstanding—attentive and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. The menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring fresh, local ingredients with a range of flavors that will satisfy any palate. I highly recommend the seafood platter, which was absolutely divine—fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The drinks menu is also excellent, with a great selection of wines and expertly crafted cocktails. Whether you're looking for a casual drink or a fine dining experience, Soul Bar & Bistro has something for everyone. Overall, the combination of top-notch service, delicious food, and a fantastic setting makes Soul Bar & Bistro a must-visit in Auckland. Whether it’s a special occasion or a casual night out, you’ll leave feeling like you’ve experienced something truly special. Highly recommended!

Loved our dining experience at the Soul. Their menu is amazing! From fresh bread and mozzarella toast, served hot and really yummy, to the starters - green goddess salad and crayfish crumpet, the mac n cheese, to the steak, perfectly prepared to our liking. We had no room for dessert, but we absolutely loved every dish! Service was also on point, with them being so attentive, love the fact that they refilled my water quite often. Will definitely be back!

Yummy food and elegant setup. The mocktails tasted good, i think we ordered two sets of the same one and the servers were friendly when indicating which items met my dietary restrictions. I could have seafood only and no alcohol so the fish tasted amazing. Bit pricey but great for special occasions.

I have loved Soul Bar and Bistro since it opened and last night proved to be no exception. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. We were served by Lorens for the evening and he was attentive without being too much, the food was served promptly but with the perfect amount of time between courses and our glasses were never empty. As always the food was cooked to perfection, so very tasty and beautifully presented. It was my birthday and Lorens appeared with a candle in my desert and sung me happy birthday, which was a lovely surprise! 5 stars to Soul Bar and Bistro. I love that this place never stops being the best.

We just had a sensational dinner at Soul and have rolled out of the restaurant. Amazing and attentive service with a contemporary menu. We had a few starters and a main each and couldn’t flaw a single dish. Wonderful atmosphere as we looked out across the harbour as the sun was setting - perfect

A lovely scenic lunch. Wow. My friend and I had an amazing lunch. Both with different fish dishes, both very happy.. The food looks and taste healthy, but also really tasty. Service was fantastic. When we asked Atasha recommended wine to go with our meals. We recommend ordering vegetables with the mains. They are needed, however are delicious. Cooked to be just right as I like them (firm). cNZ100 dollars per person for 2 glasses of wine, main and side each. With a view.

Iconic Instagrammable place in Viaduct with beautiful flowered ceilings but for this area make sure you book a table in advance. Me and my friends did not book on a Friday night but managed to have a table inside. Waiter was very friendly and took care of us well. We ordered variety of dishes and everything was top notch although I must say the servings were small so make sure you order plenty! (OMG the starter bread came with whipped butter with truffle this is to die for !!!!!!!!! )

Review from our visit in June 2024 Soul Bar offered a delightful culinary journey. The Smoked Trevally Toast provided a brilliant flavour kick, while the Truffle Macaroni Cheese with ham off the bone was luxuriously rich. The Green Goddess Salad – with peas, edamame, broccolini, cashew, and crispy quinoa furikake – was refreshingly vibrant and satisfying. The Ragu held its own, though it did lean a bit on the salty side. To top off the experience, the creative Malfy drinks – Honey to the Bee (Malfy Originale, plum, lemon, honey, anise atomizer) and Watermelon Sugar High (Malfy Rosa, Malibu Watermelon, rhubarb, mandarin tonic), both priced at $16 – added a playful twist to an already enjoyable meal.
