Everything is always good here. The vibe, the staff and even the people waiting sit patiently knowing what they came for.
My favs include the thick homestyle macaroni and cheese, the collard greens, steak fish, fried catfish and fried flounder.
My favorite appetizer includes their crab sticks they are seasoned to perfection and fried hard enough to crunch but not hot enough to burn my mouth.
I really appreciate the small extra miles the staff goes to ensure you return. Ask them to punch a hole in your giant half and half, they have scissors waiting at your request. Ask they to punch holes in your containers to prevent sogginess, they consider the request without a second thought.
I’ve been coming here since I was a child, I’m 25 now and no longer live in the area. But whenever I can, I definitely don’t hesitate to grab a plate!
