Really great place to eat, especially if you need a healthy meal between heavy french cuisine. Highly recommend coming for lunch which starts at noon. There's a set menu that changes each day and always comes with a fresh salad, your choice of 1 of 3 dishes which they lay out for you in the display, and a dessert if you want. It was €14,50 for the set but if you don't want dessert just €12ish. They speak English and the baked goods also looked delicious! If I could come back again I'd try a scone and a monster cookie. Wish they had this place by me, I'd be a regular! The only thing that wasn't great was the toilet has no cover... Be prepared to squat!

Google
Very very good quality food! If like the taste of original organic French products, go here! My fromage Blanc with home made granola was delicious, as are the coffee! Cosy living room atmosphere! You can stay for a while and play one of the board games or look trough some inspiring cookbooks.

Not much people, quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Good coffee. Toilets are a bit messy/dirty already in the morning. Service at the counter. Free wifi. They do some funny contests like to get a little pastry, original !

Great service. They let me speak French with them, switched to English when it got hard for me and went back to French again. Good coffee and food. Sweet service. Thank you so much. Coffee is cheaper than across the street 😉

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Friendly, good food and healthy too. Perfect for a small group of friends, a date or a quick lunch.

Google
Such a pleasant place for breakfast! We stopped here while it was bucketing it down with rain as we hunted out the pretty street from Emily in Paris nearby. The blueberry crumble muffin was wonderful and the coffee delicious. The waitress was lovely and friendly and jokingly wished us good luck in the rain. It had a great vibe and felt very local, worth a visit if you want good snacks and coffee. They were also just setting up for lunch and the homemade food smelled delicious.

This is an adorable little coffee house/café. They have great food options as well as pastries. We just stopped in to grab some coffee and didn't get to experience their food. We had lattes made with their special mixed rice/almond/hazelnut blend non-dairy milk. It had an interesting and unique flavor to it, but made the latte very tasty. Prices were reasonable. If I lived in the area, I could see myself being a regular.

Google
Great vibe and great food -- what more could you want?? I don't usually eat as many veggies as I should, but if this restaurant were near my house I'd eat here every day. The hummus on my toast was the best I've ever had and I liked that they gave you an entire small pot of tea vs just a cup. Its also nice that their meals come with small salads. Go here!!

Yelp
Did not find Soul Kitchen with the directions. Is it closed? There was a Bistro and a coffee shop on two of the corners where Soul Kitchen was supposed to be. The coffee shop was called Madeline and was very good. We had a coffee and a Madeline. So perhaps soul kitchen is out of business.

Yelp
So you have just seen one of the most breathtaking views in Paris oooor you're heading there after an awesome meal. This is the place you want to stop at. I appreciated the simplicity of the menu due to the whole not able to speak French thing. The Team recognized my limitation after my greeting of "bonjour" ad walked me through in English how to order and what was available to order. I was thankful and glad I choose what I did. DECOR: The restaurant is exactly what you envision a quaint Parisian cafe to be if you're an American. I appreciated the local feel it felt as if I walked into a local jewel and was able to still be part of it even though I don't speak the local language. The water and silverware are placed in the middle of the restaurant so you can help yourself as you need to. The dirty dishes are something you bus yourself as well. FOOD: The food is very fresh and made that day. If you miss one of the dishes then you missed it there is not really a second or third batch. I enjoyed that knowing that my food was fresh that day felt good. You choose three items and a beverage if you choose to. Anything you choose will be both seasonal and delish. WAITSTAFF: Most of the interaction that you will have will be with the person that is manning the counter. After that it's more of a self serve experience. WHAT TO WEAR: Casual CROWD: Locals, few tourist IG: Foodiewithafro

Yelp
What a lovely find! As you walk around Montmartre, you will find yourself hungry and in need of lunch. Skip all the touristy brasseries and come to Soul Kitchen. The place is small but brightly lit, with kind servers. For lunch, they usually have a prix-fixe for 13.90 euros, that consists of a small salad, choice of entree, and dessert. When we went, there were four entree options: a vegetarian wrap, duck quiche, sausage quiche, and a squash soup with toasts. Between the three of us, we tried three of the four and all were fantastic and very filling! For dessert, we had the option of a yogurt with chestnut paste, or a chocolate cream with butterscotch. Both were delicious. Overall a great and affordable find, perfect for a rest during a day exploring Montmartre.

Yelp
Nice quaint cafe just over the hill from Saint Coeur. Upon entering you're greeted by a bright, cool decor equally reflected in the staff whom cheerfully greeted us in French and subsequently explained the menu in French, which was a 3 option lunch offering cool connected by a colorful side salad presented with each option. My partner and I ordered the chili and rice and quiche dishes along with two spritzer like flavored drinks - mango and ginger. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere here and would definitely be open to returning for another visit.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place in Montmartre after a long flight across the pond and just wanted to eat something healthy and light. This place delivered. It's a cozy place with an incredibly friendly staff. It was pretty full at 1pm on a Tuesday but I was able to find a seat outside. The staff speaks English well and is so so nice. The menu changes everyday and they usually have 3 vegetarian options that are served with a small side salad. The lady at the counter explained the options to me patiently and you can also see them on display. You have to order at the counter, seat yourself and they will bring you the food. I chose the zucchini tart they had as the special. It was amazingly good- my only complaint is that the tart was a tiny portion and the majority was the salad, which was only ok. And since it's already served with the side salad, I wish the zucchini tart had been the majority of the dish. But since it tasted so good, I'll let it slide. I'll definitely visit again if I can since I'd like to try more of their food. They post the menu on their facebook page daily though it's in French and would be helpful if they posted an English menu too.

Yelp
Sweet, cute little hipster coffee in Paris Super fast. The food was very tasty. Easy to find

Yelp
Go here, and then go here again. We've been eating our way through Paris and this is hands down in our top 3 places to have an amazing casual meal. High quality ingredients, good prices, friendly staff. Love!

Lena M.

Yelp
Nice, cozy And tasty. Had an appetizing breakfast here with homemade granola&milk, a soft cheese baguette and a fresh grapefruit juice. Any better proposition to start into the day loaded with a snap of energy?;)

Adrienne K.

Yelp
Really cute location and the people were super sweet. We got there sort of late morning so they didn't have much left in the way of pastries but we got the last plain croissant and it was delicious. They put a little smiley in my son's hot chocolate and was the perfect way to start our busy day of sightseeing.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
Had their cute little breakfast combo (pastry, juice, and coffee) and was extremely satisfied. Such a quaint little place with a great aesthetic. Highly recommend if you're looking to grab breakfast or lunch in the Montmartre area!

Oleksandr S.

Yelp
Very good place for breakfast, small, cozy, free WiFi,granola with yogurt was excellent, coffee was good either, the service was great, highly recommend this place for breakfast

Yelp
Our meal was very good ! It is at a 5 minute walk from the Notre cœur if you wish to go eat after visiting. We had a vegetarian meal, it was very good. Quick service and very nice people! Savoury meal! Don't hesitate, just go eat !

Yelp
This place is amazing it's my favorite restaurant in Montmartre I love the quality of the food it's not expensive everything is made home they don't have much choice but it is so original so rich so organic, run to this restaurant

Lawland L.

Yelp
Love this place. A neighborhood favorite. Fresh homemade delightful and fresh pastries. Very warm service and lovely atmosphere. I came here for the title of the place a couple of years ago and found it again and while I am the same person, my circumstances have been altered as I was able to sit in the same locale contemplating life.

Yelp
Yes yes yes. If you like healthy eating and want to experience how the French do it, come here. Just a heads up, they only service lunch here from 12-2, and it's a fixed menu of three items. But it is glorious. We actually came in one day too late for the lunch, ordered a coffee and a gluten free cookie and enjoyed the afternoon. Good espresso, and they offer some non-dairy milk options, which is rare in Paris. For lunch we ordered the salad and the polenta dishes. Both come with a lovely side salad which is freshly prepared and adorned with pumpkin seeds, yum! The salad dish included a bunch of little items, including carrots slathered in a ginger sauce, fennel with olives, coucous and parsley, zucchini/squash mixture, and some fresh lettuce. It was to die for! The polenta is equally magnificent - atop a mountain of cooked peppers, onions, and eggplant lies a foundation of polenta which might be the best I've ever had. It was just the right texture and compliment to the tasty vegetables, which they called a "stew", but isn't too liquid-y. Included in the fixed menu are dessert options! I got the yogurt with chestnut sauce on top, and tried the chocolate cake. Both are good but you should definitely get the yogurt. It's incredibly rich but really good alongside a nice espresso. This is a gem, tell everyone!

Yelp
Located in montmatre about a 5 min walk from sacre coeur. It is away from the craziness of The Place du Tertre, the main square in this area where all the artists set up to sell to tourists. It's a very small cozy cafe that serves up various hot drinks, baked goods and a small menu of food. Caught Sunday brunch crowd and there was a formula offering salad / main / dessert for 15.50 euro. Today was either a Spanish tortilla of potatoes, eggs and vegetables with a feta sauce which was delicious and tasted very light despite the ingredients. Other choice was Mac and cheese with salmon which was good and not overly heavy. Salad was delicious with a light dressing - lettuce, cabbage, beets and seeds. Dessert was a brownie or a cheese yogurt with jam. Mocha coffee was the best so far in Paris. Service is very nice and accommodating and speaks English and will explain the menu. Grab your own cutlery, water and baguette at a side table. And order at the counter then pay after you're done.

Kortni K.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite breakfast places in Paris. Not only is this cute cafe vegetarian, but it is absolutely delicious. Literally coming back everyday because it is that good, don't miss out on this place!!!

Anisha A.

Yelp
Being a vegetarian - This probably my favorite stop for food while in Paris. Excellent service and staff was really friendly. It was abuzz with excitement as folks would stumble across this joint. I also lovely that I could get away with speaking English and asking for a salad! Coffee was superb!

Denise S.

Yelp
Could this place get any cuter? I can't imagine how... This small and cozy cafe is a perfect place for lunch or an afternoon snack. Despite being just behind the Sacre-Coeur, it doesn't feel touristy at all (maybe because you still have to go down the stairs to rue Lamark). You order at the counter and there is a drinks menu but for the food items, you can pretty much see everything so you can just point. I had the lunch set -- a green salad with some pasta on it, a pear and potato soup with carrot sticks on the side (the dip was amazing... what do they put in there?! I couldn't tell but carrots never tasted so good), and a slice of carrot cake for 12.50 euros. They have a bunch of teas, espresso drinks, and homemade flavoured lemonades. Quirky touches won me over: a cupboard of games/book/toys (very kid friendly), the little girl quietly colouring and sipping juice in a corner (I think she is one of the staff's kids... she was so well behaved it made me think of all those books about French parenting: http://www.amazon.com/Bringing-Up-B%C3%A9b%C3%A9-Discovers-Parenting/dp/1594203334), cards on each table with thought-provoking conversation topics, a daily challenge (e.g. name 5 species of spiders to win a free madelaine), not to mention the warm, friendly service that belies all the stereotypes about Parisian servers. I would definitely stop here next time I'm in Paris and need a break from heavier bistro fare.

Faye B.

Yelp
Hands down the best granola in the whole of Paris. Now most of the recently opened cafes in Paris serve a killer homemade granola however in every single cafe I've frequented they only serve one measured tablespoon of granola sprinkled over a large portion of yoghurt. I always thought the yoghurt was supposed to be the accompaniment, not the other way round? Well at Soul Kitchen you'll get a real portion of divine homemade granola (in fact you can choose from four different varieties) with a pot of fromage blanc on the side. The granola aside, I also tried their salad which was fresh and made with love. The whole menu looked wonderful, you can tell that everything tastes as good as it looks. The lunch menu costs 15.50 euro for a main dish, a bowl of salad and a dessert which is very good value! I also had the best chai tea latte I've had in the whole of Paris which will have me returning time and time again. Sweet service with smiley girls. Everything about this place is homely and lovely. I cannot talk more highly of this beautiful cafe!

Alana O.

Yelp
We have only been in Paris for a few days and this has been one one of my favorite meals. It was so tasty and fresh. My boyfriend and I got there special of the day which was a toast with a pesto sauce a salad and it came with another salad on the side. I also got a latte with there blend of non dairy milk which I feel like it's hard to find in Paris, this latte did not disappoint it was so good. We liked this place so much that we both decided to get a cake and enjoy another espresso. We may have to come back again.

Melissa M.

Yelp
They had 3 options for lunch (changes daily), along with scones, cookies, coffee drinks, etc. I had the bechamel mac and cheese, which came with a salad. The place was packed and on a wait. Staff speaks English and they were very helpful. Only downside is the small size, but that's what gives it great atmosphere.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Mmmmm....yum yum yum! Came by here on a Sunday for brunch and although it started to rain (and the tables didn't wanna leave so we ended up having a bit of a wait), it was well worth it. This place lives up to its name. The food here is healthy, hearty, and delicious! Service is so lovely too. The servers are adorable and super friendly (and speak English btw), and the place itself is adorable and cozy. A nice little nook to take a break and fill your belly in Montmartre. The menu changes daily, but usually there are about 3 choices in the brunch menu. We went with a frittata and a wrap, and were pleasantly surprised - everything was so damn tasty and fresh! The brunch menu includes a dessert, and we tried the financier and a fromage blanc with berry sauce dessert - both delish! This place also sells tons of mouth-watering baked goods as well if you're still hungry or wanna grab something to go! If the weather is nice, you can even take advantage of some of the outdoor seating. And finally, for a fun touch: there is a daily challenge which gives you the chance to win a free Madeleine. While I dined, the challenge was name 15 jobs (without the internet!) that start with the letter F. Or you could just buy a Madeleine for 1€, but hey it's fun!

Yelp
I stopped by this cute little spot as I was staying in the area on a solo trip to Paris. Lovely, quaint place. People stop there to do work, read a book.... I had a delicious muffin and cappucino. Staff is friendly. Plenty of more food options besides quick breakfast items, but I opted out as I wasn't super hungry. Since the place is so small - it's the kind of spot where you order at the counter, take a seat, and they bring your items to you. You must stop by if you're in the area! I will be back on my next visit to Paris.

Christie C.

Yelp
An adorable vegetarian cafe in Paris. The waiters were extremely kind and tried to get our group of five seated as quickly as possible and explained the menu to us. My friends got the wrap and loved it. I got the frittata and that was really good too. We got this hummus bowl to share. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. A good place to take a break from all the bread, cheese, and meat we've been eating in Paris.

Ari G.

Yelp
This place was delicious! Great ambiance! Everything was fresh and super tasty. I would def recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Kjetil H.

Yelp
Nice place gor a cup of coffe and a fresh breakfast. Recommend this place when you visit Monmartre.

Scarlet L.

Yelp
Love it. Great vibes, nice soul and the staff are really fairly okay, all things considered!

Satara S.

Yelp
The pear caramel muffin is amazing. This is a cute cafe with English-speaking staff. It has a nice laid back vibe and has free WiFi!

Eefke V.

Yelp
Right at the foot of the The Basilica of the Sacré Cœur, you'll find this cute breakfast/lunch/coffee place. Actually, it's sort of at the back entrance to the Sacré Cœur, so...... right at the butt of the basilica I guess? Anyway... We were staying in the neighborhood during our two day visit to Paris and we were looking for a place to enjoy a hearty breakfast, preferably something not too "tourist trappy". Merci a Yelp we found Soul Kitchen! This small place offers a lot of choices when it comes to food and drinks. We tried a hearty clafoutis with spinach and cheese, which was to die for. And a delicious rhubarb muffin on the side. To top it all off we shared a homemade granola with ginger and fromage frais. Everything was absolutely delicious! Apart from the amazing food, the service was great too. Very nice people that didn't mind having to deal with my bad french and even though the place was packed, they did everything with a big smile. It's a very cute, local place. A real treasure in Montmartre!

Nina S.

Yelp
Wonderful place, vegan and gluten free friendly. Many healthy menu choices, and a lovely warm and inviting atmosphere. I loved the chai and healthy cookie.

Poppy M.

Yelp
Cosy bustling little cafe with friendly service and delicious food! I had the vegetable crumble and salad, fair prices, highly recommended!

Tom K.

Yelp
The owner was delightful! Made us feel right at home. Tasty muffins and coffee made for a terrific morning snack before making the climb to Sacré Cœur Thanks again!

Archana P.

Yelp
If you are staying in Montmartre district, there are 2 restaurants you must try - Soul Kitchen and Pizzeria Babalou. Both are well priced, but more importantly, 2 of the best meals we had in Paris. Soul Kitchen has a charm - a true local French feel that we have not been able to find in the entire city of Paris. The restaurant has 3-4 items on their menu that change daily. My husband and I had trouble deciding what to order, it all looked and smelled so good! Each meal comes with salad and baguette. You will be stuffed. You will eat every crumb they give you. The food will be amazing regardless of the day. F on one foodie to another - highly recommended.

Mary M.

Yelp
It's a busy place, but they speak English and are very helpful. The food is great. I had polenta with veggies and a divine chocolate cake for dessert. Definitely recommend! Oh, and they have wifi!

Liz P.

Yelp
Très bonne!! The food is so nice and the service amazing!! Great option for coffee or lunch!!

Nathan B.

Yelp
Came for breakfast and it was solid, not amazing. Muffins look better than tey taste, but again, pretty solid. Coffee is not great -much better coffee in Paris than they serve hwre. Orange juice is fresh-squeezed, and granola seems home-baked and both were very nice. A great light breakfast start to the day, but again, nothing special that would make this a five-star establishment.

Dominique F.

Yelp
Sadly came here half an hour before closing time, so they were out of all their savory food. We did get some drinks and a couple of cookies and a brownie cheesecake piece. Everything was delish, service friendly and the place really cozy! Would definitely be back!

Kevin C.

Yelp
Fun, small cafe. Great vegetarian and vegan options, great tasting coffee and a beautiful location

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Was across the street from our Airbnb. Yummy scone. Good frittata for lunch. Friendly servers. A little crowded. Over all very nice. No complaints.

Rose P.

Yelp
Unfortunately I'm changing my review to one star. I was spoken to in a very uncouth way by a member of the staff. I had the impression she was the manager. I didn't follow their ordering process correctly, but instead of explaining that to me in a polite way, she decided to chastise me like I'm a child. No excuse for that, and I won't return.

Joy Y.

Yelp
Cool spot. I came here for brunch but it's really more of a breakfast place - there is no hot dish on the menu. I got the breakfast combo of hot drink, juice and musli. I like how they have 4 different kinds of musli and the ginger one I had was amazing with white cheese. I also wanted to try their agave-sweetened vegan cookie but the girl misheard me and brought me regular cookies instead, which tasted nice too.

Alexander J.

Yelp
Amongst all the foie gras, confit de carnard, moules and fromages, Soul Kitchen snuck up as my favorite restaurant in Paris. It's a smaller place tucked behind the backside of the Sacre Couer. It has a certain, well, "hippy" sensibility and I mean that as a compliment. It's decorated cutely and the menus make sure to call out what's vegetarian. The service was very nice and accommodating. The food is kind of indeterminate in origin... It seems kind of creatively Pan-European. We went on American thanksgiving day and they were serving a cute Thanksgiving terrine: Sweet potatoes on chicken (replacing Turkey thankfully) with cranberries. The other meal option was an Eastern European dish. And the Hazelnut cookie blew us away. The cookie part was actually just a sneaky delivery vehicle for massive amounts of Hazelnuts. Yum! Comfortable, tasty, creative, homey. What more can you ask for?

Emanuela L.

Yelp
Very inviting atmosphere and a sort of friendly and cheerful space. Good for doing 'light' work like reading or hanging out with a friend. Food seems fresh and is tasty and light. Decent (maybe one of the best in Paris) prices for tea! and interesting beverage options (speculoos flavored milk). The three women who work here are 'nice'- helpful and friendly enough but I've had some strange interactions/moments of confusion repeatedly with one of them. Also, avoid going here during after school hours and perhaps Wednesdays if you don't want to be surrounded by children- locals are likely to bring their kids here for a snack. Make use of the games they have stashed in their cupboard!

Francesca G.

Yelp
I came here for Sunday lunch/brunch, probably around noon. We were told they were full but we could leave our name and phone number and they'd call us when a table for two was ready, probably in 45 minutes. Thankfully, we were called in under half an hour and got a cute little table in the corner of the restaurant, away from the door and the cold. The menu had three options: a Thai egg wrap, Mac and cheese with smoked salmon, and a Spanish tortilla (there was one veggie and one non veggie option). I chose the egg wrap, and my date took the mac and cheese. I loved my wrap- I'd never normally order an egg wrap in a restaurant because I feel I can make a really good one for myself at home, but this was so delicious. It had a spicy Thai sauce, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. It came with a side salad. My boyfriend liked his macaroni, but didn't love it because he thought t should be creamier. I tried it (avoiding the salmon) and thought it was nice. We finished the meal with a little piece of fruits rouge cake each, which was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was efficient and friendly enough, and I liked that we could grab our own bread at the little counter in the middle of the restaurant so we didn't have to wait for more. I'd definitely come back here, but not if I know I want to be seated immediately on a weekend. From what I remember, it was under 40 euros for two people.

O B.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. Scone with rhubarb was delicious. Friendly customer service especially with the little French I used to order my meal. We will definitely be back. We love this place!

Alison D.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! This was the best meal of our trip! The pork sandwich was better than the ones in Texas! They had fresh juice. I had the apple and something, and my friend had the strawberry. Both were fantastic! They served a salad with each entree that was one of the better things I've had on this trip. We finished the meal off with fruit in vanilla with a Madeline on the side. I was blown away. It was so simple, and yet so perfect and light. I will be going back on my next trip!

Raj A.

Yelp
This is a great place to experience great food amidst a quaint neighborhood! The food is prepared fresh with the menu changing everyday. They accommodate Vegetarian and Vegan options which worked out for us!
