I stayed here in March 2015 for three nights. I’ve stayed in over a thousand hostels in 77 countries and touched every continent. This is in my top 3, absolutely outstanding hostel, great staff, location and dorm beds. Bathrooms are spotless and the facilities are fantastic. A must visit hostel. 💯💯💯

I was quite anxious to get there after reading all great reviews. It was more expensive than similar hostels in the same neigborhood but with so many good ereviews, I booked a room for me. I would arrive very early in the mornng so I decided to ask about storage room 01 day before my check-in date. and this is the reply I got: "Hi! Unfortunately we can not host you. Due to the local laws you have to be registered, but we’ve discovered some troubles with our system which isn’t working properly. We apologise for the inconveniences. We’ll send an email to the Ostrovok Support to solve this issue, but we would recommend you to find a place to stay.". Why did they not block the system to not accept new bookings. What if I have not asked about the storage room? on top of all these issues, they did not cancel my booking. They asked me to go to the venue and they would help me find another place. but if I did that, my card would had been charged. What a disaster on customer service. Never EVER, I would reccomend this place.

The best, I can ask for. Absolutely love it. Friendly staff, amazing vibes , clean kitchen , pretty big and wonderful room ( I live in 4 persons room) , reasonable price. Fit for every types of travelers. Don’t hesitate. Enjoy living here!

Incredible hostel! The staff are so nice and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and modern and the huge share kitchen and common area is open 24/7 and perfect to sit down over a cup of tea or coffee. The cleaning ladies sometimes bake something in the morning for you to enjoy with your coffee. It feels so homey, and the location is perfect. I would definitely come back and recommend it to any one.

Best hostel I've been to. The place is incredible, comfortable, spacious, super clean, friendly staff, social and what not! Everything here is so well thought: The rooms are spacious and well-lit, beds have curtains for privacy which makes a huge difference. There are huge lockers under the beds, including electricity sockets to charge electronics inside the lockers). A huge, well equipped kitchen and a big, yet cosy living room, together with the super friendly and helpful staff make the place so social. I'd definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back again one day <3

The best hostel ever! They have everyday events(from free cooking classes, free city tours and more.). I was always there for cooking classes and free food :)). I was there for 11 nights and have seen most what they offer. The environment is just so nice, big living room and kitchen. It is homely in some aspects :). The staffs are helpful, they speak good English. Definitely choose this hostel for the best experience of your experiences while in Saint Petersburg!

It's been 5 years , I got only opportunity to stay 2 nights (30th Dec'19 to 1st jan'20) over there , and it was my life time memory, definitely I will come again n again if I get a chance. Hopefully this year... I don't know about others but for me, I would recommend to every one to stay.

It's really a great hostel with an interesting ineriour decoration. All rooms have a different style, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Also the hostel organizes different activities each day and general support is offered whenever needed. The hostel itself is located in a calm, harmless area but close to most of the interesting sightseeing spots. On the other hand, people who wanna party all night long in the hostel may look for a different location as this wouldn't be permitted. Furthermore, it is not the ideal hostel to get in touch with people as there's no bar and so on to meet. Daniel, Switzerland
