After staying in a 5 star beach front resort in South Goa, we decided to spend another day in Coval beach area. We got mislead by the description that this is only 160m from the beach, we thought it has direct access to the beach which it doesnt have. You have to walk outside of the property in the busy street, parking lot, jostle with lot of vendors to get to Coval beach is a public beach. Though beach was clean but you will encounter lots of crowds and vendors. Not a very peaceful scenario.
Hotel its a very small property with a small reception area, parking is outside the property boundary wall. It's not like a resort you will typically think. Property and rooms are old but kept very clean and green. Rooms are basic but spacious though TVs are like 32". Nothing luxurious about it.
Only activity is a small pool in the center. Breakfast area is very small like 8 tables, with a very small spread (8-10 items). Typical crowd you may encounter is also hogging the table even when theu are done and just gets very loud and obnoxious.
There were only 2 staff members handling the Breakfast with one being manager, not doing anything, and only one girl who was working non stop from cleaning, refilling etc.
Staff was polite and courteous.
Wifi worked fine.
Summarizing, I will not call it a "luxurious resort". Had it the direct access to the beach and with a little private beach, it would have been much better. Else it's not worth the money I paid for one night.
Location is good in a way thay it has several restaurants including Dominos, Nirulas, and some pure vegetarian ones in walking distance. With some touristy shopping also.
