Authentic Flavors, Stunning Atmosphere & Impeccable Service! Soulas Modern Greek Restaurant is an absolute gem! The menu perfectly balances modern twists and traditional Greek flavors. Every dish we tried was fresh, vibrant, and full of Mediterranean soul. The atmosphere is equally impressive, with stylish decor that transports you to Greece while still feeling contemporary. What truly stood out was the exceptional service attentive, warm, and knowledgeable about the menu. Whether you’re craving classic favorites or innovative dishes, Soulas delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend for food lovers and anyone seeking a taste of Greece with a modern edge!

We reserved a table on the weekend for Greek Independence Day parade just along the parade route. We were greeted with friendly smiles, confirmed reservation and brought us to our seats. Excellent atmosphere and we were ready for the celebrations with nice weather. The heated patio was open for business and lots of people around noon getting ready for the upcoming event. The food was delicious and presented like you were back in Greece. We did appetizers to try a great spread across the menu. Great taste and excellent service the entire seating. Highly recommend and will be back for the upcoming season. Thank you!

My family and I came here for Winterlicious and the food was great. The kolokithokeftedes (zucchini croquettes) were crisp and flavourful. I had the chicken souvlaki and was most pleasantly surprised by the lemon potatoes - for how thickly cut the potato wedges were, they were unexpectedly bursting with the lemon-vinegar seasoning. The baklava was also great, with a nice touch of honey that was moderately sweet.

Went for a friend’s birthday - Soulas is a great restaurant to have a lowkey, feel-good dinner with friends. Jodie was our server and she was ok. Ordered: Trilogy of Spreads ($20), Horiatiki (Village Salad, $18), Saganaki ($17), and Mousakka ($26). The entree prices are indicative of the love and care put into the dishes.

Me and my wife went to this place a few days ago since the decoration inside looked very nice and wanted to try some lamb due to others recommending it and we ordered main course with some appetizers. Appetizers were not fresh at all; they looked and tasted soggy. In the main meal the smell of the lamb was really bad and we had to stop eating it and both of us love lamb otherwise. The service was very slow as well the workers looked overwhelmed. The price was very expensive for such poor experience as well. I would not recommend this place.

We started with the Saganaki, which is a Greek classic, and Soulas nailed it! The cheese was perfectly crisped on the outside, yet wonderfully gooey and rich on the inside. Barbecued Calamari was very good, but if you’re looking for more crunchy one, go for Breaded Calamari. Next, we tried the Santorini Chicken, a dish that truly transports you to the Greek islands. The chicken has been stuffed with herbs and vegetables and comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. And, of course, the New Year’s decorations really added to the overall experience. The owner spent one week to make this beautiful setting.

The food was amazing! Best Greek food I ever had. The pita bread was melt in your mouth. The meat was big and juicy! The potatoes was so flavourful that my hubby ate that up first!

Went for my friends birthday and the service was fantastic. The food was really good and very filling. We also loved the bread that they gave us to start off. The staff were also nice and they gave us some birthday shots as well

Yelp
I've been there a handful of times with different people. My first visit was the summer of 2023 after spending the day at the Bluffs. Decided to visit my old neighbourhood and stopped off for lunch. A private party was booked in the dining hall, so a friend of mine and I sat and ate on the patio. We arrived before the lunch crowd came through cause a massive line formed outside shortly after sitting down. I was in a romper and sandals and needed to use the washroom, which is inside. My first experience in the restaurant and I got odd looks from one of the servers. Felt out of place given the more formal attire of diners around me. Anyhow, back out on the patio, our server was a lovely older gentleman who warmly welcomed us and dotted on us. Ordered an appetizer of greek salad to start. Even though our dishes included some salad, we wanted more. The feta cheese that accompanied the salad was a generous triangle and we devoured it. For mains, I ordered the grilled calamari that came with potatoes (omitted the rice) and my buddy ordered chicken souvlaki paired with tzatziki, greek salad, rice and lemon roasted potatoes. My dish was marinated in a mouthwatering lemon garlic butter with sundried tomatoes. I loved it. Came with two sufficient pieces of squid. His was a massive portion of chicken breast pieces that he polished off. We both enjoyed our meals! Service was also excellent. We never stopped talking about the food. It was so good, I salivate thinking about. On the second visit, I had the grilled calamari again. My friend had a chicken soup with dill and spinach and for a main, the orange roughy fish served over a garlic mash and vegetables. She loved the flavour of the soup but hated her main dish. Said it was greasy. My meal was so filling, I did not need an appetizer and even had leftovers to take home. On the third visit, I went with three friends and we ordered a few things to share. We had saganaki, halloumi salad, floured calamari and spanakopita plus our respective meals. Two people ordered grilled calamari, one person had beef souvlaki and another person had the Greek chicken wrap. There were leftovers, of course. We each took something home. The last time I went (a while ago now) was when two friends and I traveled from the west end to the east end purposely to eat at Soulas. We left early yet managed to get stuck on the highway for two hours due to several collisions! I made reservations a week in advance for 6pm on a Saturday because the place is popular and books fast. We ended up arriving at 8pm! Thankfully the owners were understanding and flexible. They managed to hold our spot. We didn't have to wait too long upon arrival despite the restaurant being full with a lineup out the door. That night they had a live band playing. Indoors was quite congested but still lively and engaging. Again, I ordered my beloved grilled calamari and had no regrets. Each of us ordered their favourite dishes and devoured it. We had a great time but were in and out quite quickly! Managed to squeeze in some dessert on the Danforth and soak up the atmosphere before making our way back home. This restaurant is hands down one of my favourites along the Danforth. The quality of the food is top notch. Service is great too. Whenever I'm craving authentic Greek, I go out of my way to get it. Wish I still lived closer. It would be a daily meal for me. I took pictures but couldn't find them all.

Yelp
The overall Mills were not that tasty or great. Service was good though. There were many people attending to our table but the overall atmosphere in food was not great. I would not recommend going

Yelp
We came here for Summerlicious lunch on the weekend. They had a nicely decorated and spacious patio with flowers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the pita bread, chicken souvlaki, and walnut cake. The portions were huge! The chicken was a little on the dry side though, but the rest of the dish was good. I especially liked the dessert (tasted homemade) and the sangria I ordered on the side was very refreshing! Great value at $27 for set lunch menu. The only downside was the waiter automatically added on the tip because it was Summerlicious. I see it's more common for restaurants to add this for big groups though. Look forward to returning to try their lamb dishes and other desserts next time!
google avatar

Lilian C.

Yelp
We did summerlicious 3 courses meal. We shared 3 different appetizers, but somehow we all chose the lamb pie for the main. The portions were very generous that we were all full half way through the main. We did finish the 3 desserts though, again shared. The inside looks very upscale, saw the fish course on another table, will probably try that next time. Didn't see coffee in the drink menu, maybe they should add that as option.
google avatar

Eileen L.

Yelp
I came here for summerlicious, I chose the garides shrimp, the lamb entree, and the ekmek kataifi for dessert. My friend got the chicken souvlaki dinner. The portions here are huge! We had to take our mains to go. I was impressed by the quality of the food for the summerlicious menu, the lamb was very tender, and the dessert was creamy and light. We were seated on the patio, but I felt like the service was still great. Highly recommend and will come back if I am in the area again!

Yelp
This place was great. Loved the ambiance. Large but still had a cozy feel. Service was excellent. Everything we ordered was brought promptly and steaming hot. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share between 4 of us. There were meatballs. I don't eat meat so happy they only brought 3 nice size ones. Ordered the saganaki because, who doesn't in a Greek restaurant. It was perfect. Shared 2 horatiki salads. Very good. Ordered 3 dips, tzatziki, tarama, and the eggplant dip. Lots of warm pita. All excellent. Ordered 2 large sausages. I didn't eat them but the rest of the table raved. And we ordered the grilled calamari. Honestly, that's the only thing I really didn't like. It had some kind of mustard coating. It was gross. One bite and we all set it aside. Grilled calamari is much better with a puttanesca type sauce. Will definitely be back if just for the dips and salad.

Yelp
We are visiting from the US and we wanted to try a Greek restaurant. We picked Soulas and we very soon realized that it was a very bad choice, the food was awful, we had ordered a filet-minon which was burn, smelled and tasted like it was old. The next plate was a lamb souvlaki that magically became a pork souvlaki which tasted like it was paper as well as it was burnt, the third plate was a ribeye steak that was completely burned and it stank, the fourth plate was an augolemono soup that was really good, then we had the skordalia which was fine. The last plate was the chicken souvlaki which was satisfactory. We also had a caesar salad that was just mediocre. Then we had desserts which were the , Karidopita and , that were also really disgusting. All of the desserts seems they were one week old. In the end all the food ended up in the garbage. We smiled as we payed and then left. We are never going back there for sure. The service was good, the waiter was with a smile as he tried to do his best in serving us but considering his boss christos, he was being really really bad, yelling all the time for no reason........

Yelp
I order chicken suvlaki for 2 . First , they serve us some dried pita . Suvlaki plate came soon and noticed that everything wasn't cooked properly and were cold . God knows if they were old . Later on , I order revani as desert and it was discussing . Old and seemed to me like someone spit it there . I have been all afternoon with stomach issues because of that food I noticed previous times that baklava was loaded with sugar because it stays longer in the Store. I am Mediterranean guy and I know what is about Mediterranean food . Never again to this place ....

Yelp
I was looking for a Greek dinner and asked for suggestions for where I could get good Greek food in "the Danforth." A person in the employ of a way cool type of place (translation: coffeehouse) told me about Souv-like and that it was right outside the Pape subway station in Greektown. So, I went over there, I didn't see a free table, and, for its rather spartan looks, it wasn't as cheap as I thought it might be when it came to combo dinner platters. I figured I'd wander over to Danforth proper and look for Greek grub ... actually a respectable dinner. (I had been fed a home cooked meal the night before.) I'd eaten at Mezes and Pantheon in the past, and they are time tested, but Soulas came into view first. I liked what I saw. It didn't look "gaudy Greek" inside, but, rather, restrained and even soothing. They had a covered outdoor street front eating area. The menu looked decent and, for much nicer digs, the prices seemed appropriate. I went in and was seated in the main restaurant instead of the glass gazebo type place up front. Things got off to a good start with the pita wheel that they brought over and I asked for some tzatziki sauce to slather on it. I had to pace myself because it was very good and I wanted to save some to accompany dinner. Looking for reliability over adventure, I selected chicken souvlaki, which was presented with a Greek salad, rice, and the baked or roasted Greek potatoes. This was and is my kind of food! The person overseeing the service at my table was friendly, well traveled, and sought to ensure that what I ordered was to my liking. It was. I walked out of Soulas feeling that I lucked out and made the right decision. Mezes was good and, while Pantheon was also good, the service was a little brusque the one time I tried it. Soulas put it all together in terms of tasty food, attentive service, appropriate price-value, and a nice understated restaurant in which to eat. I give Soulas a very strong 4 stars. This could very well be my go-to Greek restaurant if and when in "the Danforth" again.

Yelp
We've eaten here a number of times. This place replaced Ouzeri. It's run by the folks who used to run Pan on the Danforth (both Ouzeri and Pan are now closed permanently). Great food. Lots of selection. Recommend the Lamb Souvlaki pie, lamb shank, roast chicken with scalloped potatoes and the pork chop. Dips with pita are also very good. Calamari appetizer is very generous. Good for 3-4 people. Staff are friendly and know their menu well. Both inside and patio dining. Parking is on the street or around the corner at a Green P lot. It's a solid choice, and one we often pick for good Greek food on the Danforth.

Yelp
Lovely space, lovely staff, delicious food. Soula's has such a warm and inviting atmosphere, making the experience wonderful. Our staff was so kind and sweet throughout the entire process. We came in for the Summerlicious2023 lunch, and were not left disappointed by the flavours or portions. I would certainly return here again. G O R

Yelp
We walked by searching for a dog friendly patio and was lucky that Soilas had a table on the street! We were seated immediately and brought water as our service took our drink orders. I got a mimosa which was the right amount of oj and Prosecco- was actually shocked by the drink prices as all martinis were 12.00 (seems foreign these days in toronto). We had to start with the hummus that came with a large amount of WARM pita- the warm pita was sooooooo good and the hummus was smooth and so delicious we devoured it quickly. I had the halloumi salad which was refreshing and light after all the hummus I consumed. My partner got the gyro dinner which was a large portion- he enjoyed it- the potatoes were tender and flavoured well. Our server was lovely and even brought us some shots before our mains. Definitely a neighborhood gem!

Yelp
I really like Soulas, so maybe things were off yesterday. Sadly, I was not inpressed. I picked up a Halloumi Cheese and Arugala salad yesterday to-go, by the time I got home and ate it, there was a large amount of the arugala leaves that had not only wilted, yet also some that had clumped together with moisture, indicating their lack of freshness and close to expiration. What I additionally don't understand is why put crispy pita and also offer soft pita? Its a nice odea, to me though. Not needed. It would have been such a process for me to clean out the "bad" arugala leaves of this salad so I ended up eating the majority of it anyway. At $17 though, the arugala leaves should be top-notch. I even felt like the salad was filled out with romaine lettuce bits and peices. The small parts that no-one wants so why not put them in a to-go order? Oh what it is like to work in a kitchen in a busy, well-known restaurant. They gave me a more than adequate portion of side pita and the flourless chocolate torte was exceptional. Very crowded and packed to the brim when I arrived. The lady asked me to come back in 10 minutes. So I did and my food was waiting for me. Benefit of the doubt will be granted.

Yelp
I was a fan of this place and supported them by ordering food after the pandemic lockdown. Was a continued customer until attending a birthday party last month when they assigned *one server* to handle about 30 people. We waited over an hour to order food. I don't go into how awful the night and service was, except to say I messaged the restaurant and nobody cared to respond. My family and I won't be back.

Stacey L.

Yelp
The only place we confidently take guests to dine on the Danforth. We have been entertaining friends and family here for years (previously The Pan). Our party of five had an outstanding lunch last week at Soula's. The food, serve and ambience are impeccable. It is very easy to highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Yelp
I was craving Greek this week, but wanted to branch out from all my favourites. We happened into Soula's which was bustling with both diners and doing a swift take-out delivery business. The food was good and while they have a good selection of the traditional favourites, they also had a selection of dishes not as typical. We had the lamb shank (fall of the bone tender) and the lemon roasted chicken on feta scolloped potatoes (tangy, sharp, creamy goodness). The service was warm welcoming and generally awesome - thank you!!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're in the middle of Greektown, and thus spoiled for choice, Soulas is a good spot to sate your Greek cuisine craving. The loukaniko sausages had a deliciously satisfying snap back, and had the traditional zesty citrus pop of the orange peel running through each bite. The sweated down veggies that accompanied it imparted plenty of additional flavor. The gyro sandwich was pretty standard. The meat not too salty, and sandwich wasn't over-sauced. The pork souvlaki unfortunately in my experience turned out to have the meat overcooked and dry. The revani dessert was fabulous. The semolina cake was moist, and had absorbed all the accompanying syrup. It wasn't too sweet, and was a great end to the meal.

Yelp
This Greek restaurant has always been impressive, even during the pandemic with its timely delivery service. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon meal for delivery. To be honest, I was a little worried that by the time my meal got delivered, the salmon would be dry and overcooked. But thankfully the fish was still AMAZING. Tender, flavourful and perfect. I am looking forward to when life returns to normalcy. I want to eat in this restaurant again, with its sweet cozy ambience. They gave an array of dishes to choose from, and I am excited to try more, given how awesome the food I have tried so far.

Heejin Y.

Yelp
I'd rate 0 star if it was possible. I was served by Nikos, and I'd say his service was the worst. First of all, We ordered food first than the table behind us but they got their food first. I needed to go ask him if I have to ask him for next food. And we had to wait for 30 minutes for Entrees, he never say sorry or something. Second, he never gave us water, never asked if we needed more water. I couldn't even ask him for water because he came to my table only twice to take our plates. The worst part was when got my bill. Although i said i'll pay with cash, but he gave me the machine but he press the 18% of gratuity by himself. Due to all terrible service from him, I didn't want to tip and told him the exactly same thing. But he yelled It's mendatory so you have to tip. So I had to say the service was not good to him, He never apologized, kept yelling that you have to tip. I'm also working as a server so I know it's not mendatory and he can't force me to tip. And if customers don't tip, asking them if there was any problem with their service or food should be the first step. When I visited here few times with my boyfriend, this guy were not like this. But me and my sister are Asian so we think it's totally racism.

Yelp
I love people and places that TRY, and Soulas is one of them. Time of covid and lockdowns as winter approaches? Build a makeshift patio, purchase a bunch of heaters, be strict with safety protocols. A Greek restaurant in the competitive Danforth area? Differentiate with fusion-y food that somehow still tastes authentic, and a 5-star service that is both friendly and super efficient. We chanced upon Soulas the weekend before the lockdown, and definitely lucked out. My wife and I shared: - Taramosalata: A bright pink meze made of fish roe. Smoth and creamy, paired with piping hot pita... heaven! - Halloumi arugula salad with additional calamari: Portion side was HUGE. Good slabs of halloumi and generous greens. The calamari was a bit rubbery but definitely tasty (would have wanted more actually). - Chicken pot pie: Again, HUGE serving size. It was hearty and tasty, though some parts of the chicken were just a tad dry. The side potatoes were melt-in-your-mouth good. - Greek ekmek khatifi: I didn't know what to expect with this dessert, and it was mind blowingly good. The combination of the custard and shredded phyllo and cream just worked amazing together. Finally, I can't say this enough: service was superb. While there are many Greek restaurants in the area, Soulas is definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Soulas hits all the spots when it comes to serving delicious modern Greek food on the Danforth. The owners are very friendly, warm, and hospitable. We came during Stage 1 of economy re-opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, so dine-in and patio dining weren't open yet. From what I saw in the interior, it was nice with dark brown earthy colours on the walls, giving a warm and calm ambiance. We got take-out and the experience was outstanding (they adhere to social distancing during ordering and pick-up). The portion sizes were BIG and very generous (and well-packaged for take-out), with extras of things that we didn't expect (for example, we didn't expect the zucchini croquettes to come with an extra salad). Here is the detailed breakdown of the menu items that we tried: 1) Neptune's Seafood Platter - Ginormous portion and they were very generous with the seafood (as well as the vegetables, seasoned rice, and potatoes). Seafood included grilled calamari (big whole calamaris), 4 big pieces of salmon and tilapia fish, lots of mussels and jumbo shrimps. The tomato sauce that came with the mussels was really good. The pan-seared vegetables included zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and green beans. All of those were served on a thick bed of nicely seasoned rice and potatoes (LOTS of potatoes). It was enough for 3-5 people. Just the seafood platter by itself was a nice, wholesome meal (have your carbs, veggies, and protein all in one platter). Very good value for the amount of seafood & veggies they give you. 2) Halloumi & Arugula Salad - This was a pretty good salad with mixed greens, cucumber, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and a semi-sweet salad dressing. Quite refreshing and light. There were about 3-4 big grilled halloumi pieces, and the salad also came with crispy pita pieces. 3) Kolokithokeftedes (Zucchini Croquettes) - The croquettes were so-and-so. They were nice and crispy on the outside, with cheese and herbs in the inside. They were a nice complement to the seafood meal and halloumi & arugula salad, but nothing mind-blowing. The croquettes also came with a salad on its own. Everything also came with complimentary garlic pita bread, which was nicely toasted (with grill / toast marks) and had really delectable infused garlic flavour. Soulas is definitely one of the stand-out Greek restaurants on the Danforth. We'll be back again.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place! The ambiance was amazing- perfectly lit and they had live music the night we visited. The table setting was so nice and the service was excellent. I can't forget to mention how delicious the food was! The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. Our entrees came with a crisp salad, rice, and delicious potatoes. Perfect dinner.

Yelp
Food was decent but not amazing. There's many Greek restaurants on the Danforth to try out, we picked Soulas as it has very high ratings. The patio was very nice and it was very busy. We got pita with tzatziki and fried calamari which was very good but nothing special. My partner got the Santorini chicken which was dry and felt over cooked. I got the mussels in cream sauce which was just ok. Maybe the restaurant had an off night but everything was just ok tasting.

Summer S.

Yelp
It was the worst experience ever in my life. I went with a girl on a first date. 1) They brought us grilled octopus instead of pickled 2) The older lady came to collect the appetizers before we finish them. We were thinking that she was taking them early because the main course was ready. She took them anyways. 3)The main dish came an hour later and that was after I waved to the waiter asking where our food was. They did not apologize for any of this. They did not say anything to us about this. They are either too arrogant or too racist. One thing for sure, you will never see any of my money or any member of my family or my circle of friend's money.

Yelp
The Summerlicous choices can be overwhelming, but we were in the mood for Greek cuisine, so we decided to try Soula's. We arrived just before they opened so I managed to take some quick pics. The restaurant is fairly new, and nicely decorated. Since the weather wasn't too hot, we sat on the patio. We started with the Kolokithokeftedes (zucchini croquettes) and Keftedes me Saltsa (meatballs in tomato sauce). I found the texture of the croquettes gummy, but the meatballs were moist and flavorful. The grilled pita wedges were perfect for dipping in the tomato sauce. Chicken souvlaki is a dish I always order with trepidation, but Soula's version was tender and perfectly marinated. The pork chop was a bit on the dry side, and the marinade tasted the same as the chicken. Both dishes came with a generous portion of basmati rice. The tzatziki was very good, so good we asked for more! Unfortunately, we waited more than 30 minutes after we finished our entrées for our desserts. While we understood it was Summerlicous, and by that time, the restaurant was busy, it was frustrating to wait so long, especially since they were pre-ordered. The baklava slice was small, did not contain many nuts, and was overly drenched in honey. The Ravani was okay, but I personally found it bland. It took a while to get our bill and pay, so our lunch ended up being very long! We decided to walk around the corner to a coffee shop and finish our meal in a different environment! Overall, in my opinion, lunch was average and pricey. Prix fixe lunch: $23.00 per person + tax + 18% added gratuity = $60.26

Yelp
A friend recommended Soulas as a place to meet up for lunch. I originally thought it might be too much in terms of quantity and price of food for lunchtime. But we met up anyways, and I was glad we did. Soulas has a wonderful assortment of dishes on a lunchtime menu. Very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Atmosphere very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch hour meet ups.

Alister C.

Yelp
We tried Soulas as an alternative to our usual Mezes or Parthenon on a crowded holiday evening. We were pleased. The moussaka was outstanding. Other dishes were as tasty as elsewhere on the Danforth. Service was quick, helpful, and pleasant. A bustling atmosphere. Good choice of wine. One odd thing: the laminated menu handed to us was worn out, wrinkled and greasy, kind of like at a seaside tourist diner.

Charles P.

Yelp
We were a table of three. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table without a reservation. the place is pretty and inviting and the service was quick and efficient. The saganaki was good however the rest of the meals were mediocre.Thhese include lamb chops, lamb souvlaki and Santorini chicken.

Yelp
Great and attentive service in a very nice spot on the Danforth. We ordered a set meal and some other lunch selections and the summary was it very tasty and good food! Seating is a bit tight since the tables and chairs are a bit close together. We were fortunate that the people in the tables behind us were not inconsiderate so we were ok comfortable-Just pretend that you are eating in Greece! They were also broadcasting the Leaf game Go Leafs Go!! This deserves a bonus star! Definitely will come back.

The food was excellent, great value for money. Awesome Atmosphere, good wine selection. Get the grilled squid!!

Yelp
This place looked great by the outside seats alone. Inside it smells of 20 year old alcohol/beer seeped into the bar and floor. The red haired women who is a waitress is amongst the most unfriendliest people i have encountered in any restaurant. The food is not as described on the menu and it goes on and on why its a pass, just dont bother, Christinas and Pantheon are steps away. Do your self a favor and go check them out.

Yelp
We had a terrific Summerlicious experience at Soula's last night. Too often, restaurants try to make money during this promotion by serving stingy portions of the cheapest items on their menu. Soula's, though, understands the wisdom of offering their best to patrons who might be there for the first time. We both loved all our choices. I had the zucchini croquettes, just as the menu described them--a delicious blend of zucchini, cheese and herbs--rosemary lamb (phyllo) pie, and that Greek custard dessert that starts with "k." My husband was equally pleased with his dolmades, the rosemary chicken pie and baklava. We both appreciated the chance to try a Greek dish that was new to us, especially as a Summerlicious offering. The service lived up to the food, from the friendly staffer at the door trying to help people without reservations to the waiter who quickly brought menus and water, to our lovely server who made us feel that we were her welcome guests. I wish I had asked her name. To top it off, our meals offered outstanding value: very generous servings and very reasonable prices. (The woman at the next table had salmon, and the filet was truly two servings of fish.) No surprise that the restaurant was full inside and out and accordingly a bit noisy, but in a happy, convivial way. The decor is pleasing, with many chandeliers and a big bar, and the patio next to the windows is covered. Well done, one and all!

Yelp
What can i say, this place serves up excellent geek food. my beautiful partner and i have ordered from this place twice already, and each time we have ordered, it is spot on. Absolutely delicious, well dressed gyro's and souvlaki on pita's. Servings are large, and the food is cooked perfectly, and they have excellent tzatziki. We've ordered from a lot of the greek places on the danforth since the 1st lockdown in 2020 and we can say most were merely adequate, but none were excellent. Nothing made us say "damn, that was good" until we ordered from Soulas, we really felt that Soula's food quality was overall miles above the rest. They are clearly our top and only choice for greek when we are in the mood.

Yelp
I have been going to the Danforth for Greek Chicken Souvlaki for over 40 years but I was actually surprised yesterday. Last night, my daughter treated me to dinner after a long walk back and forth from Pape to Broadview. We gazed at the dishes being served up at the different patios and the enticing smells that came with. We settled on Soulas Modern Greek Cuisine and met the gracious owner after our meal. I can not describe how deliciously flavourful and tender the huge chunks of prime chicken breast were. Absolutely amazing! We are not huge eaters all at one sitting. We both were tempted to have more and not take any home, but we stayed the course and were able to have some tonight. Just as good.

Yelp
Huge portions and amazing taste!!!! Not pricey at all. Great service. Very happy with the overall experience. Waiter recommended all her favorite dishes. My favorite was the triology sampler. Had to pack my meal to go. From al how full I was from the triology.

Yelp
I was desolate to find out that the Ouzeri had closed down 4 years ago (it's been a long time since I had been in TO), but gave this a try since they are in the same spot. We just had apps & retsina, but we LOVED their saganaki flambéed with ouzo, the calamari, and their meatballs. Great place, great food, great service.

Yelp
I have to say the mussels were a great find. They were In a broth that did not taste like ouzo as promised, but was in a bouillabaisse with salmon, squid, shrimp and scallop. Not at all as described, but so delicious! The melitzinosalata was very good; the skordalia was bland.

Yelp
Not my first visit but definitely my last. Not that it was terrible but not as good as the last time I was here. I usually order lamp chops as they are normally bone sucking good but this last time they were just ok. With so many other place to eat Greek in this area, it's time to move on and explore others.

Yelp
We did a winterlicious lunch here, and ordered the triple dip platter with flat bread. There was a pink dip that looked great, but tasted a little fishier than I like, hummus and a third dip that tasted like feta purée, which I also enjoyed very much. The flat bread was soaked in olive oil, I know some really like the flavour, but I like the bread plain and flavoured with the dips. The feta salad which was my favourite of our lunch, it was nicely dressed and had a good amount of toppings, and a nice dressing. The pork chop and vegetarian moussaka were our main dishes. The moussaka came with a side salad. The salad was my favourite part of this meal. I can't say I would come back for this moussaka, but my friend enjoyed her pork chop. The dessert we both enjoyed as well. I had the baklava, which was made really well, I could taste the honey, and it was loaded with walnuts, and the philo pastry was soaked in this delicious hoNEy syrup. The other cake we ordered was very egg tasting, almost custard like with walnuts. I wish I could remEmber the name for this (we didn't order the honey soaked pastries (which was the third option). The staff were friendly, and the restaurant looked good, we could hear each other speak, the ambiance was really welcoming.

Yelp
What used to be another previous Greek restaurant on the Danforth, Soulas focuses on classic contemporary Greek food. On a summer day this place is busy with lots of outdoor and indoor seating to accompany it's patrons preference. On weekends Soulas has live Greek music for its guests to enjoy the night away as the overall ambiance of this place is beautiful. For food we had their grilled octopus which wasn't the best as it was too rubbery, I've personally had better. For mains I tried their Moussaka, classic Greek dish similar to a lasagna, but stuffed with feta, lamb and all types of goodness. Delicious but extremely dense lol.

Disappointed N.

Yelp
Received my specialty grilled calamari salaD minus the sun dried tomatoes and minus the balsamic dressing delivered by Skip. Called Soulas back and was told to contact Skip and complain about my order (!!!!!!) or drive over to their restaurant to pick up a new order - not impressed.

Yelp
I had the Aioli Lamb Souvlaki for $26 plus tax. For me the food tasted very mediocre. The salad did not have enough feta cheese and the dressing which was not too tasty made the salad too acidic. The Souvlaki lamb was too salty. Taste profile of potatos was very monotone - sour. Highlight of the dish was prob the rice which was good.

Yelp
The first clue that this establishment is greatly over-rated was the paper napkins, inappropriate for a fine dining experience. The second clue was the mismatched cutlery. We ordered the New York Sirloin, and the Lamb Chops and Lamb plate. The food was served cold. The Steak was half fat and also served cold. The service was negligible as it took five minutes to flag down a running service person to get the food re-heated (via microwave). The food was returned without apology. At $130, the prices were the only thing "haute" about this joint. This place was formerly The Pan, which had excellent food and service. It is now simply running on reputation. Never returning unless at gunpoint.

Yelp
If you are celebrating a birthday, this is the place to be! Our group of 16 celebrated the hubby's birthday at Soulas and we had a great time! The resto is relatively new with nice decor and best of all, they got live music band and belly dance performance. Now on to the food, perhaps I'm too use to foodcourt Greek food like The friendly Greek, I didn't find the food at soulas to be that impressive. For starters, we ordered the saganaki, scallops and tzatzki. I found the saganaki to be too salty, the other 2 was alright. For mains, I got the chicken souvlaki, again, it was salty. The rice that came with the dinner was a bit stale while my potatoes tasted too citrusy. A friend who ordered a whole grill fish said her fish was dry. Perhaps the chief had an off day because all the other yelp reviews spoke very highly of the taste. Overall, the value for the price was good, the entertainment and atmosphere was excellent, our server was super attentive and accommodating, our group had a great time and that's all it matter when you are celebrating a special occasion.
