Sound of Heaven is church where anyone - especially those who may feel far from church- can come to learn, grow, and discover what it means to live a life modeled after Jesus. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be met with open arms and genuine smiles. I’ve truly found my home here - a place where I can draw closer to the Lord, be spiritually nourished, and be surrounded by a loving community of people who genuinely care. Their heart is for you to know the fullness of God’s love and to experience a real relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My family and I are so grateful to have found Sound of Heaven and to be led by Apostle Johnny and Apostle Rachel. I honestly believe that if you visit, you won’t regret it. This place has changed our lives, and it can bless yours too.

I’ve been coming to this church every Sunday for a while now, and I can honestly say it has become one of the most important parts of my life. From the moment I first walked in, I felt welcomed, seen, and cared for. It’s not just a place I attend, it’s a community I’m proud to be an active part of. The messages always seem to land exactly when I need them, reminding me of God’s grace, purpose, and timing. There’s something incredibly comforting about being surrounded by people who genuinely want to grow together, support one another, and live out their faith in a real, honest way. What I love the most is the feeling of belonging. I don’t feel like a visitor or just another face in the room, I feel like family. The worship, the fellowship, the prayers, the conversations after service… all of it fills me with peace and a sense of grounding I don’t find anywhere else. This church has helped me grow spiritually, emotionally, and personally. It has seen me through good days and heavy ones, and I’m grateful to be involved in something that continues to shape me for the better. If anyone is looking for a place that’s uplifting, genuine, and full of love, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s truly home for me.

If you're looking to feel moved, feel the presence of God, accepted and loved than this is the church for you! The amazing group of people here are doing glorious things! So glad to have found them and am honored to be apart of this blessed church!

I was newly saved and experienced church hurt before so I didn’t know what to expect when the Lord called me to attend here. I wasn’t expecting to be welcomed with such open arms and everyone pouring so much love into me. This isn’t just a church it’s a family! 🩷

If you want to experience the word/gospel unfiltered in a warm and inviting environment then Sound Of Heaven is your place! From the warm welcome as you enter the building with the greeters, to the smiles and warmth that extends to the coffee bar that has fresh coffee and bagels every Sunday, right down to the worship team ushering God’s presence into the atmosphere and your heart. The true icing on the cake is the word, given by one of our leaders, either Apostle Johnny or Evangelist Jason, where you will not leave the same.

I’ve been attending Sound of Heaven for exactly a year now, and from the moment I walked in, it felt like a prayer answered. The church has been so welcoming, and I’ve truly found a community in Christ here. Sound of Heaven offers so many opportunities to grow in your walk with the Lord, and they teach heavily on what it means to truly be like Jesus. It has been an incredible blessing to be part of this church family.

Nothing but love and compassion from the moment you walk in. They truly spread the aroma of Jesus and everyone is so amazing. A wonderful community to be a part of and grow with.

I have been coming here for 7 months and from the first day I came, I was greeted with kindness. The worship is beautiful and healing, the preaching is anointed and I learn something valuable every time but the biggest difference here is that you can really see the fruit at this church, you can see and sense the evidence of Jesus being the center. As a result of this you will experience fruit in your life by getting involved here. It is a low-key, casual and diverse environment, not stuffy or cliquey at all. I have found valuable fellowship in the women's group that meets monthly and can honestly say that I'm cultivating a second family. Supportive, generous, authentic people run this church and they clearly give all of themselves without asking anything in return. If you are looking for a church or not sure about God and the Bible - this is your sign to come to this church.

So 4 years has come and gone! We have moved across the country but we are still very connected to SOH and due to COVID we are attending church online (churches in LA are crazy) I love my church family and it just keeps on getting better and better! I wish all the awesome reviews were allowed! C'mon Yelp lol fix your algorithm My children have made life long friends that have become family. The love is genuine and as Christians isn't that how we are supposed to operate?

Sound of Heaven is truly the place to be. The instant feel of home as you walk through the doors is like no other house of worship. The care you will feel from the members and true representation of Jesus is here at Sound of Heaven! Thank you for being the way.

I have been part of the Online part of Sound of Heaven but have known Apostle Johnny and Apostle Rachel for years. I am from New Jersey and Sound of Heaven has helped me so much. I love that when they preach the word, they don't talk over you,but to you. The Word or the talk may not be spoken to you personally (one on one)but it will reach you. I think everyone should hear the word from Apostle Johnny Apostle Rachel Apostle Jason Apostle Chrissy and the rest of the team of SOH They also take the church out to the streets and also help the community. The worship team brings the music to lift your spirits before the mass as well.

SOH is a place that allows you to come as you are and grow in Christ. It is non-denominational, so I did not feel the pressure of having to conform to a religious culture to be accepted. In fact, I learned what it meant to adopt a Kingdom lifestyle and be more Christ-like. There are many avenues to grow in critical and independent thinking through podcasts, discipleship, Bible study, fellowship, articles, serving, teaching, and weekly sermons. You are also encouraged to join corporate prayer before service and engage in unadulterated worship to feel the fullness of God and achieve your breakthrough. The church population is diverse in age, gender, race, and ethnic background. If you are looking for a place to begin your Christian walk or rededicate your life, SOH is a great place for you.

There aren't enough words to describe how amazing this church is! Everyone, including the leaders, are ready stop meet you right where you are - wherever you may be in your walk with God. My favorite things about Sound of Heaven are the practical and life changing teachings, the down to earth members, the casual dress code and of course the Spirit-filled atmosphere!! If you are are looking for a church to visit or a church home I absolutely recommend you visit us at Sound of Heaven! You will not be disappointed!!

From worshipping and praising the Lord, to learning God's Word in a way that not only sheds light on the historical context, but also how it applies to us today; I just don't want to be anywhere else! This is my family's home church I cannot imagine being anywhere else. If you don't have a home church, I highly recommend anyone to check out Sound of Heaven as you are.

I have spent six months in this church, and they did not tell me all of what they believed in. They do not believe that Jesus is coming back. They believe in Kingdom now theology. When I found out, my family and I left shortly after. I do not recommend this church. Two of the other reviews here on yelp are leaders of the Sound of Heaven Church!. Jason D is the Evangelist of the church and Rodrigo is called the Prophet of the church!

My family has been going to Sound of Heaven for almost 3 years. Our time here has had an amazing impact on our lives. This church is refreshing and innovative while holding to the truth that Love always prevails and every single person has worth. One thing that is absolute is that the heart of Sound of Heaven is to be a thread to the Long Island community. We were able to get involved right away as there are many opportunities to make a difference. The biblical teaching is clear, concise, an applicable to life as we know it today. The worship and music ministry is incredibly anointed. i believe I speak for many when I say that the presence of God in this place is nothing short of life changing. I encourage anyone who is seeking to understand more about God in a passionate and welcoming environment to check out Sound of Heaven.

There's so much to say about this church that I called home for almost 2 years (Since August 10, 2014) and though my husband and I have moved to a different state, Sound of Heaven forever will be home. I cannot say enough about what SoH means to me. I came here as a baby in my Christian walk and I learned so much: I can confidently and unashamedly have a conversation about Jesus with anyone, even those who are from different religions or no religion at all. Apostles Johnny and Rachel actually walk the talk. SoH takes it to the street in many ways such as feeding the homeless, carrying the 10' tall 75 lbs cross from the end of Long Island to Manhattan, evangelizing the gospel of Christ and spreading cheers. The leaders are not just like any other leaders; no way. They truly are godly people and you just can't help but be infected with the gospel. At SoH you will be taught the Word not just during the services but also through bible studies, 1:1 discipleship, TIA (Train, Impart, Activate), LifeGroups, How To Hear the Word of God and many other ways. There's so much to do and many ways to bond like Women of Virtue and Proverbs 31 and Men of Valor. I mean you name it, they probably do it at Sound of Heaven. It is a wonderful place to serve. I believe that we cannot go to church empty and waiting to be filled but go full and pour out to others. That's what Christians are supposed to do and I learned this and much more at Sound of Heaven. Even though my husband and I moved to a different state, we look forward to visiting SoH when we are back in town. SoH is family. I highly recommend that you visit, you will not be disappointed after all, Sound of Heaven is a movement! Church will never be the same. Can you hear it???

I totally agree with Leslie f. My family and I found out shortly afterwards too. They will not give you a straight answer when you ask them. They don't believe that Jesus is coming back! They believe he already did. There are also many other things they say and promise themselves but are not truthfully. A very cunning and deceitful church that pulls people in and is not biblical! And yes the other two reviews were written by their Apostles, and evangelist of their church.

Sound of Heaven is a comes as you are church, but you will leave changed. The friendly warm atmosphere draws you in wanting to stay, becoming a part of the vision. The worship will take you deeper into you own personal relationship with the Lord. The presence of God is a consuming fire that burns away everything that has blocked, hindered and held you back from being all God created you to be. It is a family that only wants the best for each other. The teachings are so powerful always hitting the mark, setting the captives free. There are classes during the week that help to equip each one in their call, pulling out your own personal gifts creating the path to your destiny. Monthly men's and women fellowship. You don't want to miss out on the part you have in this move of God. Come and let the love of God envelope you.
