The people make the place and that is certainly true for the excellent staff at the Al Mirqab. I could call out a half a dozen individuals who made our stay magical, but the three most significant would be Omar our housekeeper, Ansar our concierge and Kynn at the front desk. Omar’s warm greeting whenever he saw us in the hallways always made our day and I can truly say that I have never seen anyone with a more brilliant and consistent smile. His service was outstanding as our room was always spotless. If the cleanliness of your room is an important consideration to you, Omar will not disappoint. Ansar was the first person from the staff we met upon arrival and the last to see us off, and his courteousness and interest in doing whatever it took to address our needs always had a personal touch as if he was there for us alone. Kynn was always consistent and helpful at the front desk to make our stay perfectly smooth. Also, as they say, location is everything, and the location of the hotel is excellent in the middle of the souq waqif. Quiet in the morning, it comes alive at night and is a vibrant marketplace and social center. With a metro station literally steps away, it is convenient to the entire city. We had a fabulous stay, from sitting on the veranda and listening to the call to prayer, diving into the energy of the souq waqif, and wandering throughout Doha, our hotel was a perfect base for our visit and was complimented throughout by a most excellent staff.

I recently stayed at Souq Waqif Hotel, and I couldn't be happier with my experience, especially thanks to the exceptional service provided by the housekeeper, Nawaz. From the moment I arrived, Nawaz made me feel welcomed and cared for. Every day, my room was impeccably cleaned, and it was clear that Nawaz takes great pride in his work. He paid attention to the smallest details, ensuring everything was in place and beautifully arranged. It was always a wonderful surprise to come back to a room that was not only spotless but also had a nice, fresh scent. What truly stood out was Nawaz's friendly demeanor and willingness to assist with any request I had. He always greeted me with a warm smile and was eager to help with anything I needed, making my stay even more enjoyable. His professionalism and dedication to providing a comfortable environment were evident throughout my stay. If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay in Doha, I highly recommend Souq Waqif Hotel. And if you're fortunate enough to have Nawaz as your housekeeper, you're in for a treat! Had a great stay at the hotel. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The food at breakfast was also very good. They even packed me some food to go for breakfast because I was leaving very early in the morning (never had that before). Special thanks to Dhurba for his attentiveness and kidness upon my arrival and departure. I would definitely recommend. 10/10

We stayed 3 nights at the Al Bidda Boutique Hotel in our way back to Australia. Check in went smoothly, we were offered an upgrade, with a terrace for and extra $40 AU /day, so we took that. Later we found out that our original hotel we booked was under construction, so hence the upsell. We were happy with our very large spacious room, bathtub and terrace….. however the terrace was locked the entire time and unusable due to construction, so another misleading statement. The decor is tired, and needs updating…marble bathrooms need overhauling. The rooms are as cool as you can make them and are super dark. The beds are super large, comfortable and great for sleeping. Overall everyone was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Ansar, especially went out of his way to help us change the pickup time of our airport transfer, and kept us updated continuously. It’s not usual to alter a transfer time once it’s been booked, but Ansar made it happen. Thank you Ansar 🙏🏻 our trip to the airport was very comfortable.

We stayed at the Souq hotel to get closer to the local culture, and the experience was excellent! The hotel is very pleasant. Al Najd, where we stayed, has beautiful, traditional architecture. The staff were all very attentive. Ansar was very attentive and helpful, always waiting to give us a ride around the Souq. Ebtsaam welcomed us warmly. Everyone is very hospitable, and the city is breathtaking! We hope to return soon!

Great location! We stayed at Al Najd, and it is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. Beautiful rooms, traditional architecture and right at the centre of the beautiful Souq Waqif, with plenty of cafes and restaurant's near by. I spent my anniversary in Doha, and courtesy the incredible service by Touheed and team, we had such a wonderful experience. Thanks to Touheed also for arranging a cake for my anniversary night, making sure that our celebration night is a great experience. He also helped us check-in earlier than possible as we had a 2 year old naughty toddler along. Will definitely visit again, and recommend this place to everyone. Also, shout-out to Ibrahim for his help and guidance in navigating in and around Souq Waqif.
