South Avenue Grill

My first experience was very good. The waitress connected. The food was seasoned to perfection, not too salted or spiced. With plant life all around, the air is fresh and temperature well controlled. The place was relatively quiet so we got a chance to chat without straining our voices. Parking was a bit of a challenge but a definite recommend.

The food here was amazing and very affordable. I can’t wait to go back.

Everything was amazing, tables however required a bit more cleaning as with the heavy wind, dust and dirt blew up and covered the table. Food was amazing, started of with skme Cream of Pumpkin Soup then had some Grilled Salmon, rice and peas and topped it off with a serving of Gralic Bread. Waiter was a lovely lady.

Fantastic area, beautiful ambiance especially at night, and I especially enjoyed the food and the service. Prices were reasonable and I will be coming back. Big up Peta-Gaye, who served me with grace and humility despite how busy the place was. 🙌

Absolutely the worst food I’ve ever had. I bought baby back ribs and mashed potatoes from South Avenue Grill about two hours ago, and I’m honestly shocked at how terrible the food was. The ribs were completely overloaded with seasoning—I could literally scrape it off with my fingers—but despite all that seasoning, they still tasted insipid and bland. There was absolutely no flavor on the inside. It’s the worst-tasting rib I’ve ever had in my life. To make things worse, the mashed potato was tough and dry like a stone—completely inedible. It’s hard to believe this was served from a reputable restaurant. Both the ribs and the potatoes were cold and tasted old, like they had been cooked a day or two ago and just reheated. Nothing about the meal felt fresh or made with care. I had to throw the entire thing away. It’s truly upsetting to waste money like that, especially on food this awful. Honestly, food that tastes this bad should be illegal to sell. I will never recommend South Avenue Grill to anyone, and I will never, ever return. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects food and customers.

I went for my friend's wedding dinner on July 19, 2025 at about 4pm. We were seated pretty easily and the staff was attentive. The food came very fast which was awesome because we were starving lol. I had the soup of the day: red peas with beef and chicken, it was soooo good!! And the dinner rolls were just perfect. I was the only first timer so my friends recommended I try the chicken and shrimp pasta. LISTEN! The serving was large, I barely ate a 1/4 of the meal, it was sooo much but so yummy! The sauce was just amazing and I didn't have to count the shrimp. I took most of the meal home and had it for dinner Sunday AND Monday LOL. The chicken strips appetizer came with a sauce that was just over the top, ridiculously yummy! Even the water tasted great DWL! The staff was pleasant but my waitress couldn't remember who ordered what when serving us (group of 7). Then when it came to billing, she said she still couldn't remember who ordered what (I wouldn't have said that out loud to the customers if I was in her position). Guess she eventually figured the best way was to do the separate bills and leave them on the table for my friend to distribute. I suggest she use a notepad next time and be mindful of that. But that was the only thing. Bathroom was very clean (BIG DEAL for me) and the place looked soooo good. I most definitely WILL be going back!

😩😩Theeeeee most juiciest chicken I've ever had. I had the chicken primavera. AND THE RIB?? LAAAAAAAWD CHIILE. Customer service.. Amazing!! Went there for my bday. And I'll definitely be going back. 😌 only issue is the closing time. I wanted to have a drink at the bar after dinner. .. And I'm not a fan of the cheese cake.

We got there about 8:30 pm, the restaurant was about 90% full. It was a bit dark for our liking. We had a little wait before we were even greeted by anyone. The person that greeted us and seated out didn't have a welcoming personality. Our server on the other hand was very cheerful and helpful and seems to enjoy her job. She was the best thing about our experience. The food was not to our liking. We ordered 4 items and only one item was satisfactory. We will not be recommending or going back to South Avenue Grill. One thing I can say, their portions are big, especially their pasta dishes. Expected better. Was a disappointment.
