The absolute best venue in the South Bay!! We had our wedding reception here and everyone LOVED IT! We had close to 160 people and it fit everyone perfectly! From the dance floor to the outside area to the upstairs rooftop deck- everyone had the best time. We had food trucks which had easy access to the outdoor area. And most of all the owner Michael made the whole planning so easy. He is incredibly helpful and gave us great ideas with his knowledge of party planning at the venue. He met with us multiple times to plan out the event and was so great. Thank you SBC for making our wedding night so special! We will never forget this night!!

We hosted my son's bar mitzvah party here with about 100 guests, and it was EPIC! Working with Michael was easy and stress-free. The guests were complimenting the party space all night and for days after. There was plenty of room to dance and plenty of space, indoor and outdoor, to sit comfortably. We loved all of the cozy nooks for socializing. The decor is awesome and required little from us, which was nice. We chose to have a taco bar but asked Michael to supplement with a smoked brisket. It was delicious! A million stars for an unforgettable night!

We hosted an event at South Bay Customs for 150 guests, and it was absolutely perfect! Michael, the owner, was a pleasure to work with—responsive, professional, and truly on top of everything, making the planning process seamless. The venue itself is so unique and has plenty of space, making it ideal for large gatherings. We had a live band, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how cool the space was! The outdoor area was also a huge plus, providing a perfect spot for people to relax, chat, and get some fresh air. The bartenders were fantastic—fun, kind, and added to the great atmosphere of the night. Overall, if you’re looking for an amazing venue with character, space, and top-notch service, I highly recommend South Bay Customs!

We had the BEST experience hosting our event at South Bay Customs at the end of June! The venue is incredibly unique and has an ideal layout with a built in stage, audio, lighting, bar, furniture and more! Our guests were so impressed and could not believe what a hidden gem the venue is in El Segundo. Michael (the owner) was such a pleasure to work with, answered all of our questions throughout the planning process and was onsite for the duration of our event to ensure everything ran smoothly. We highly recommend this venue! We also got to work with Feed the Kitty (the in-house band) and they were phenomenal too! Overall a fantastic experience and the venue aesthetic allowed us to have a really fun theme for our joint BDAY party!

This place is truly has our heart! We were planning our wedding and reception ourselves and knew we wanted to throw our party in the South Bay- keeping it homegrown. I took some time to google event spaces in the South Bay and the name of this place grabbed my attention. Response rate was prompt and we were scheduled to tour the space. Our heartstrings were tugged - walking into a curated vintage garage seamlessly turned into a spunky and full of life event space. My vision felt like it found its place. Things that captivated the vision: decorated walls full of personality, some high tables, a stage, full sound and light capabilities, a bar, hybrid indoor/outdoor feel, live tv feeds, and rooftop patio. Working with Michael and Corina was professional and a breeze. They were responsive and listened to our ideas and communicated their recommendations based on the space and what could happen. I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous with how the reception would play out. We anticipated a little over 100…. But naturally, that grew to a little over 150 (plus vendors/staff). With hard work, planning, professional vendors, and dedicated execution team- our dream wedding party exceeded our dreams and expectations. IT WAS TRULY OUR PARTY OF OUR LIFETIME! We had an MC and DJ, live band, grazing table outside and then served luxe bento boxes for dinner. Full bar service and the dance floor full all night long! Our parents were skeptics of how this party and venue would find itself in equilibrium for our special occasion; they’re still raving about the party till this day! Our guests of all ages (we only included children of the family) partied their butts off - sang and danced all night. You know we had to have a LA Dirty dog (bacon wrapped hot dog) vendor serve for late night munchies. This is a great place to be creative (within boundaries) and really turn your DIY vibe dreams come true. We will be back for a future event and hope you get to have a lifetime experience here- you won’t regret it!

If I could give 10 stars, I would!! This place is exceptional! The interior decor is unique overall the venue has plenty of space to move around. We hosted an event here for LA Tech Week and the vibe did not disappoint! The suggested vendors were also easy to work with, and we received great support from planning stages all the way to the end of our event. We really enjoyed ourselves and our guests loved the space. It's basically a turnkey venue with everything you need to host an event. Highly recommend booking this place if you're looking for something fun and unusual that's not your typical event space!

My wife and I had a joint 50th birthday party at SBC. I could not have asked for a better experience or interaction. Mike was extremely flexible and helpful with all the vendors, very detailed, and was available when I needed him. There were some challenges with my furniture vendor, but Mike was flexible and helped tremendously. The food truck in the back was awesome, the band on stage was great and everyone loved the location and the environment. It was such a great event I might consider having another event at this location. My band loved the stage, Mike provided great lighting, and sound was spot on. The band had no problem getting there to prepare. The bar at SBC have there was great for my needs. The slide show running was an added bonus. With COVID still being a thing, the outside location was great for people to mingle. Very reasonable and very fair cannot say enough good things about them. I had so many friends tell us they loved the location. Couldn't have asked for a better night. A++++ Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Where to even begin with South Bay Customs? I was lucky enough to stumble upon this amazing gem while searching for a non-traditional wedding reception venue. Last year I spent a good three months trying to find a spot that would suit us. I finally found SBC and I immediately fell in love with the photos online. When I called the owner, Michael, to inquire, he was friendly, straightforward, and explained everything I needed to know before booking their spot. To be clear, SBC is a million times easier to work with than just about every other venue I found up to that point. So many places had a laundry list of restrictions, requirements and downsides that I just couldn't swallow. SBC is as laid back, honest, and transparent as they come. Michael always made himself available to me and my day-of coordinator, as well as the other vendors (three food trucks, bartenders, tattoo artists, photographers, photo booth, band, security guards) who had questions. He even worked directly with our live band to ensure all of our sound was great and everything was in order. Although we had food trucks for guests to choose from, we ended up hiring Michael to do barbecue for the kids. His brisket is out of this world, and it was a huge hit. Our party lasted from 6:00 PM to midnight, and for all six of those hours, I swear just about every guest at the event came up to me at some point to gush about this venue. Everyone couldn't believe how cool and unique it was. "How did you find this place?!" was the question of the night. Everything about our party leaves me glowing. South Bay Customs could not have a more solid place in my heart if it tried. Every little detail is perfection, and I can't wait to come back for one of their comedy shows. Trust me, this is the venue you want to go with. The pictures don't even come close to doing it justice. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

I recently hosted a birthday party for my friend's 40th at South Bay Customs, and it was the perfect venue!! I was looking for a dive bar feel that could host a live band and SBC exceeded my expectations. The venue itself has a bar, stage, and plenty of lounge areas indoors and outdoors. It's a true gem!!! A special shout out to Michael, who was great to work with. He was professional and extremely helpful. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our friends couldn't stop raving about the space. Thank you Michael and SBC for helping make the celebration unforgettable. We will definitely be back!!!

It's this simple: Hosting pretty much any event = hard, stressful, impossibly expensive. Hosting any event with Michael at SBC = easy, stress-free, highly reasonable. If that isn't reason enough to book this venue, it's also just plain cool as hell. The space is unlike any other in this city, in all the best ways. It's got so much character -- the decor has been so lovingly curated and keeps you from having to pour weeks of your life into decorating a space. Our guests said "cool" a collective 10,000 times throughout our event and they weren't talking about their hosts. Michael made it a turnkey experience for us, helped coordinate with vendors, ran point with our band, and from start to finish, was always most pleasant to work with and very patient with even the dumbest of questions. If you're on the fence about booking here, maybe consider not doing that anymore? Just book SBC. You'll be glad you did.

I've been going for a few years now for my friend's band playing live karaoke (Porkchop Express) but decided to celebrate my 50th here with just my friends. Michael put me in touch with everyone I needed (taco cart, bartender) to make the night go off without a hitch and worked with me every step of the way until the party was over. Porkchop Express made me and everyone feel like rock stars with live band karaoke. The space accommodated my party without anyone feeling cramped and he even added a table in the back area so people could sit and eat while still getting to the stage to rock out and dance. I highly recommend the space for your party needs!!!

We held our annual company party at South Bay Customs and it was an amazing event! The venue is so interesting and perfect with both indoor and outdoor spaces. Michael was responsive and easy to work with in making all the arrangements. It was much more fun and enjoyable than going to a restaurant, which we had historically done.

SBC is a great place to do any type of event whether you are a motor enthusiast, if you enjoy live music or you can appreciate a great retro vibe. They have a large space that allows a great experience either for a large group or small gathering. Michael and the rest of the team are excellent hosts who make things so special for whatever you are looking for. SBC is a hidden gem in El Segundo that I highly recommend because they made our celebration something unforgettable that not any venue in the Los Angeles area try to offer.

I booked this venue for my mome 61st birthday party. The ambiance at the venue was absolutely perfect. All our guests walked in and had the same reaction..."Wow, this place is cool!". The decor is eclectic, the lighting throughout was exactly what I had in mind. The sound and lighting from the stage was amazing! It felt like being at a mini concert. Plenty of space for dancing and believe me we used it! Mike was very easy to work with throughout this process. I was able to text him with any questions from booking to even the day after the party. I had the privilege of having some nice conversations with Mike and I felt like I was saying goodbye to friend when I was leaving the venue after the party. I would absolutely recommend booking this place for any event. It's a very versatile space and working with Mike was a pleasure!

Great place to see live music. Seating is limited. The bar menu is very small and limited. But what really sucked is the guy Mike told us to there would be a taco truck there so we were saving our appetite and had no dinner, but there was no taco truck. Bad form Mike!

Absolutely wonderful venue! Michael and his wife were so accommodating and wonderful to work with. I had my father's celebration of life here. The venue was perfect with everything I needed. Microphones, tv screens, indoor and outdoor areas. Bar with staffing and much much more. They also recommended other companies for me to easily work with in order to make this smoother for me. South Bay Customs is a fantastic venue with an amazing owner. This is one of the most unique, stand-out, and engaging venues I have ever seen. We had the privilege of hosting a surprise birthday party at SB Customs last weekend and we were blown away by everything. My wife booked this venue months ago after searching high and low for the perfect venue. After much searching, she was blessed to find Mike and South Bay Customs. With an interior that is part hotrod/motorcycle garage, part rock and roll lounge, to everything in between, the premises is roomy, inviting, and absolutely unique. There is a stage to accommodate a band, a dance floor on which to cut some serious rug, a large dining area with tables, an inviting patio, full kitchen facilities, and a bar area (which I worked the night of the party). The interior is decorated with awesome memorabilia and custom bikes built by Mike, the owner. The sound for the band is on point, thanks to Mike's expertise hosting bands. The lighting makes for the perfect atmosphere as well. We couldn't have asked for a better facility to host our special surprise party! Lastly, but certainly the most notable aspect of our experience at South Bay Customs, was our experience with Mike, the owner. There are far too few owners and facilitators that are as helpful, kind, understanding, communicative, and involved as Mike is. Mike was with us every step of the way, and was incredibly helpful. Mike has poured his heart into South Bay Customs, and it certainly shows. Mike is not only awesome at what he does, but he is simply a wonderful person. Kindness, helpfulness, and genuine character are traits not commonly found these days, which makes people like Mike all the more appreciated. Thank you Mike and South Bay Customs for a wonderful experience!

I had my wedding here in Nov 2022, and I couldn't have picked a better place! From the beginning, Michael and his wife were so kind and informative, let us see revisit the venue whenever we wanted before the event, and answered all questions we had. The minute we walked in we knew it was the perfect venue to fit our style as we were going for a very non-traditional, Alt wedding. I would always describe it to people as a Biker Bar/ antique shop aesthetic. The day off, my DJ didn't end up working out and Michael and his wife took over the music and lighting and let's just say the dance floor was never empty. I cannot thank them enough for literally saving my wedding and I can't get over how beautiful the venue looked. Even more so, at night, with all the lights outside and everyone loved the patio upstairs. One compliment I always go back to is a family member saying "it was the most beautiful and unique wedding I've ever attended." Still get compliments on it to this day. And Michael even helped us find a cleaning crew in the end, so we literally did not have to worry about anything except enjoying ourselves. I cannot thank South Bay Customs enough for the most magical night of my life. I already have friends and family looking to book their next event there. Be sure to book your next event here!

Not only is SB Customs a great venue for a gathering; working with Michael, the owner, is an absolute gem! From start to finish, he made the entire experience pleasurable! Michael is professional and makes himself available when you need to him; he offered insights about vendors he's worked with in the past; he is patient and willing to work with your needs (i.e, see the space again, practice run with video); made suggestions with regard to rentals and how to layout the space; and overall, a downright patient, kind and compassionate man! His wife is just as wonderful as he is, too! The space speaks for itself when you walk in -- it's perfect for a large gathering; the mood and atmosphere changes as you move about from the front to the outside space; it's eclectic yet inviting; the seating throughout the space is unique with booths, chairs and couches; the stage is great for entertaining your guests and Michael will assist you with your audio needs. We hired a food truck and it was easy for them to set up and the guests had no issues getting their food. We bought a keg and wine and hired bartenders recommended by Michael and they did a phenomenal job! We also hired the cleaning crew per Michael's recommendation and so glad we did. It was affordable and one less thing me and my family had to worry about post-party. I couldn't be more happy with my experience at SB Customs! All of my guests loved the space and said it was perfect for our event and even afterward, I'm still getting calls from guests raving about what a great time they had and how much they enjoyed the space. Parking was not an issue for my guests but it was also a holiday weekend and the surrounding businesses were closed so we had ample street parking and access to their lots. I highly recommend SB Customs for your event needs! I will gladly suggest the venue to any of my friends and family in the future because not only is the space great, but it also helps to work with a nice owner/operator who simply wants to ensure that you and your guests are safe and happy.

Best venue ever to have my son's 40th birthday party! Mike and his wife are awesome! They went above and beyond to ensure things were perfect! Mike worked with the vendors for our event to ensure all went smoothly. All vendors were impressed with Mike's professionalism. I received so many compliments on the choice of venue and the wonderful time my guests experienced at this location. The venue has a unique museum interior and plenty of space. This venue has an awesome sound system and bar area. There is outdoor space which worked perfectly for our caterer. This venue offers a remarkable memorable experience. I came to South Bay Customs to see if they were available to host my husband's memorial party. The venue has a beautiful outdoor/indoor area, perfect for gatherings (especially during this crazy time) and affordable. Mike went above and beyond to accommodate my every need, especially during a time for me where I just couldn't hold it together. I was able to have a DJ, food truck and just a wonderful celebration, all thanks to him. I can not tell you enough how pleasant it was to work with him, how incredible the space is, and just how wonderful The overall experience was. I highly recommend for any venue needs, at a great price and a wonderful owner. I will definitely reach out again if I need a space, and will definitely check out some shows there.

I had my 50th birthday here and I could not have asked for anything more! The space is truly magical. Amazing sound system (for DJ or live music), TV's to play movies/slideshows, and a bar already built so just need to bring your own beverages which can save a lot of money. The details of the indoor/outdoor space are thoughtful, unique/rock and roll yet warm. Couches and tables are outside, heaters, bulb lights and plenty of space for large parties. Lighting makes for incredible pictures. We had a food truck which made it super easy for planning and there's a back area for drop off of rentals. Highly recommend for corporate events, birthday parties, weddings, whatever. My guests commented on the space throughout the night and absolutely loved it. It's a hidden gem and great location (next to Manhattan Beach and LAX). Also, Michael was so helpful, he wants your event to be special. If you're looking for something unique with a cool vibe, look no further and check it out for yourself. You will not regret it and can thank me later!

Cool, edgy, artistic...just a few adjectives to describe this eclectic venue! Just threw my boyfriend's 50th birthday party here and it couldn't have been any better! Michael, the owner, was so laid back during the entire process and was there the entire evening of the party in case we needed him for anything. Everything ran so smoothly! I couldn't have asked for a better evening. We brought in a great DJ, bartenders and brick oven pizza catering service! All were top notch! If you want to throw a fun party for all I highly recommend this space!!

South Bay Customs Rocks! When we began searching for wedding reception venues in the Los Angeles area, we were blown away by the enormous price tag, rules, and work it would take to transform a blank canvas of a venue into a fun place we'd want to spend time and invite our friends and family to celebrate with us. And then we found South Bay Customs. South Bay Customs is an unbelievable event space. If you are looking for an alternative to a hotel ballroom wedding venue, look no further. We wanted a place that is family friendly and not precious and a place to throw a fun party that people would want to actually come and stay. South Bay Customs allowed us to do just that. We brought in a photo booth, our own booze, a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained, (and quite a few adults), dueling pianos, and we put together a family band and performed a set for our guests. Michael at South Bay Customs is a creative "Master of All Trades." He is the owner, professional sound engineer, smokes a mean brisket and pulled pork with all the fixings, and can build you a custom motorcycle...and those are just the things we know about! South Bay Customs packs a lot of value. Live Music Stage PA and Sound System Built in that can play your own playlist. Michael is the sound engineer for the live music. Built in Reclaimed Wood Bar. Full Catering Kitchen On Site Catering available. He was able to provide wait staff, bartenders and a cleaning crew. Already decorated. Just bring in tables and chairs. He and his girlfriend Leanne took care of us like we were family. We would highly recommend South Bay Customs!

THIS PLACE IS RAD!!!! I searched all over the South Bay Area for an awesome place to host my fathers 50th birthday, and after almost settling for a cheesy hipster joint, I found this (almost speak-easy) place that you would never know existed. Which honestly makes it that much more of a surprise. When you walk in, it's like a time warp. You walk through a room of the past. Very museum like. And then you get to the good stuff, Motorcycles!...everywhere. My father is and always has been a Harley Davidson guy since he was old enough to ride. Needless to say. I booked the spot right away. The party was amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Best party venue in LA! My company had our holiday party at SBC and were not disappointed. Mike was very attentive and helpful during the planning process. He was prompt and thorough when answering questions, and was on-site the night of the party to help out. The venue is so unique. We were able to have a burger truck and churro truck pull up into the alley. SBC has picnic tables, an amazing outdoor patio space, and an inside dance floor! We had a live band perform on the stage and brought a DJ along for downtime. We also had a photobooth set up inside (although there is an area outside as well). Clean up was easy and would definitely recommend this space for any event! One downside is that parking during the week is scarce. Although I reached out to neighboring businesses and was able to secure parking - you just gotta get savvy!

We recently held our wedding here and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. The owner, Mike, was extremely helpful and made sure that we were able to have everything set up the way we wanted it to make our day as special as possible. The ambiance was perfect and the venue has so much character that we could spend days just looking at all of the decor. Would highly recommend and hope to come back to see a live show once they come back.

Saw a show here this past weekend and I cant think of a cooler venue. The walls are covered in vintage stuff, sweet bikes and a nice putdoor patio area and deck. It made me feel like I was at a party on sons of anarchy (but without the bikers). They had bbq pork sliders and coleslaw there and for 5 bucks its probably the best meal I've had in a while for the price. If you're an SOA fan like me you should definitely check this place out for a show. Or a bike.

I coordinated a wedding reception/party on the weekend at the South Bay Customs venue. Firstly I have done a lot of events around Los Angeles and dealt with a lot of venue owners. Michael who owns South Bay Customs was AMAZING to work with. He was attentive and yet has a great relaxed style that puts everyone at ease. The decor of the venue is so unique and creates such a great atmosphere. The eclectic collection of furniture, pictures, memorabilia, motorcycles and cars creates the coolest vibe for any event. It really is a hidden gem and is perfect for any style of party. The music equipment and set up is beyond perfect for live music. I can't recommend this space more!

I just celebrated my husband's birthday party at South Bay Customs in El Segundo. What a perfect venue if you want a mix of art, music and beautiful motorcycles. Michael is so easy to work with and his state of the art sound system made my musicians very happy. My guests were amazed as they wandered through all the beautiful artwork on the walls as well as the amazing bikes on display. Even the kitchen had a Wolf range and industrial size fridge that made me a little jealous. Made food prep so much easier. No detail over looked. Heaters and long tables outside on the covered patio with a newly restored upper deck. What more can you ask for? There is more. Great mood lighting ,great audio visual system with TVs in every room. Michael making sure everything runs smoothly. I would recommend South Bay Customs to anyone if you are looking for a unique venue that your guests will talk about for a long time. Mike is legit the greatest venue host! He made everything so easy and was so helpful before, during, and after the event! The space is incredible and every one of my guests made a point to tell me what an amazing time they had. Mike went out of his way to make sure the event was perfect and there was no end to the tricks he had up his sleeve. You could literally host any dream event at South Bay Customs!

I would rate this venue a 10 out of 5 if I could! My wife and I had our wedding reception at South Bay Customs and had the best experience! Michael made setting up and planning very easy for us. The venue already had tons of decorations and a great atmosphere which saved my wife and I a lot of money on decorations. Tons of our guests came up to us during the event and complimented us on how amazing the venue was. Since Michael was at the venue during the event, we didn't have to hire security and we were able to approach him with questions if we needed help. We also loved that there was an outdoor space/balcony that we could use. All in all, Michael made our reception better than we could have ever imagined. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Love this place Just had my 20 year high school reunion here. Could not have askewd for a better venue. Michael, the owner was super cool and helped a TON along the way. Somehow the responsibility of planning an event for 75 people fell on me. I'm not a party planner and Michael was extremely cool and helpful along the way. The space was amazing, the service was amazing and I would recommend this place for any kind of event. Thanks a ton SBC!!!

I am an event manager at Loyola Marymount University and came across South Bay Customs when researching venues in the South Bay area. The vibe was edgy without being unapproachable and Michael was a gem to work with. He helped me source a band for our event that fit the mood of the venue without overpowering our networking event. He also recommended an awesome mobile pizza caterer who gave our event the extra touch of charm. We are still receiving rave reviews on the event, which helped make it one of our most successful Alumni events of the year! I would highly recommend this venue if you're looking for an intimate venue with lots of charm and an even better owner!

Just hosted a birthday party for my husband here and we have nothing but good reports. The venue is spacious, oozing with ambiance without trying too hard and, as one of our guests later told me, makes you feel like a cooler version of yourself just being there. :) Acoustically the space was also fabulous. If you wanted to be dancing near the stage, the music sounded great but if you wanted to talk out back, you could do that too. Michael, the venue owner, is just as nice and helpful as he can be. He is laid back but ensures that everything gets done on time and done well. He has ideas for vendors should you need help. We had him cater with his Texas style BBQ and our guests are still talking about the food. Amazing. I highly recommend this venue!

I just bought my brand new 2016 Harley Fatboy S last week and I needed to replace my stock exhaust pipes with new pipes. I found this gem on yelp and called for information. After my first meeting with Michael, I was really impressed with how professional and transparent he was. He explained everything to me very patiently, showed me all the options and gave me a timeline. Within 24 hours, my parts were delivered and my bike was perfectly done... Michael messaged me with the progress of my parts, the installation, and called me the minute my bike was done. The job was done perfectly, at a reasonable price (which I would happily pay even more for such great service) ... I would definitely recommend South Bay Customs to anyone looking for great and professional service!! This is my shop from now on!

We contacted Michael at South Bay Customs for our venue choice for a corporate holiday party. From the beginning to the end he was extremely helpful. The venue is amazing and a room full of law enforcement agreed what a cool vibe it is. The stage is perfect for a band, we used "Good cop bad cop" they sounded incredible. The outdoor area has heaters and seating. We used a taco caterer (e and j tacos) who had plenty of room to set up and serve. We also had casino games (Sun city casino) inside where the bar area is and our guests loved it. Michael and his bartenders Robin and Moises made our night one to remember. The entire set up and decor is trendy, hip and comfortable. Look no further...highly recommend South Bay Customs for any venue.

Now, February Mike did the cams, clutch, paint and various other powder coat/ceramic coat upgrades. Yet another great job and the bike runs like a beast. Hands down most reliable dude I know!!!

Brought my Springer in for some work based on the 5 star reviews from this site. Took it in for a list of things but the main reason was to have Michael change out stock bars for drag bars and to get seat replaced. Got the bike back a week later than promised and the bars were hitting the tank because the risers weren't tall enough. When I asked Michael (Owner) about this he told me it's normal for the cables to hit the tank. I told him I didn't agree but the cables aren't hitting the tank, THE BARS ARE. Also, big gash in the new leather seat they replaced. I asked him if he would take a pic and send it to the manufacturer and order me a new one. He said no, I had to bring the bike back so he could take the seat off and send it back. Then I would have to wait for the new one. (So my fiance had to follow me in the car with my old seat to his shop so he could switch them out then send the seat in for repair. He said he would fix the bars. He adjusted them by rotating them higher and said it would work. I live 6 miles from his shop, by the time I rode it home, the bars were touching the tank again when full turned. This is when the bars actually dented the tank as I was backing my bike into my garage. I called him back he said he needed to put taller risers on it and that I would have to pay for them. The right front blinker (that he relocated) stopped working. He tried to fix it but told me he couldn't at that time because he had to remove the tank. However, he was too busy to do it that day so I had to come back when he wasn't busy. 20 days later the seat came in, I drove my car to pick up the seat then took my bike to the Garage company. Yoshi fixed my light in less than 10 minutes (without removing the tank), he also had an amazing paint shop worker come in and fix the dent and scratch that Michael caused on my tank, it's barely visible but much better. I cannot recommend this shop.

Michael has worked on 2 of my Harleys. And being that the nature of motorcycles is that you always either HAVE to fix them or WANT to upgrade them.. I stop by this place pretty damn often. SBC always takes good care of me. If you're looking for someone to work on your bagger, chopper, bobber or whatever and don't wanna get bent over or sold a bunch of crap you don't need this is your spot. He'll give you a no BS assessment of the state of your scoot and if he quotes you a price to do something you can guarantee it's gonna be fair. I trust Michael very much and will continue to bring him business as long as I'm on two wheels. Also, he won't give you a hard time about not knowing how to work on your own bike especially when it comes to the technical stuff. Not everyone is a wrench wielding moto-wizard like this dude.

I bought a Harley Sportster with a record of being serviced the week before at Southbay Customs. The work order said they had rejetted the carburetor, replaced the fork seals, replaced the primary gasket, and adjusted the clutch. Well, not long after riding the bike on the freeway, I began to notice that after being run wide open for a bit of time, the bike would sputter and die. I brought it to another mechanic who looked at the carburetor and noticed that the float bowl wasn't adjusted properly causing the bike to run out of fuel when ran wide open for an extended period of time, as you would on the freeway. Seems like a pretty straightforward problem any decent mechanic would know to avoid. I also noticed a slow leak from the primary, which I thought couldn't be due to the primary gasket since it was just replaced. I tried replacing the O-ring at the primary plug, but it would still leak constantly. Turns out, the primary gasket had a break in it. Don't know if that happened in the week after they replaced it or if they just didn't replace it. After that was fixed, I was idling at a light when I heard a pop and my clutch cable suddenly went slack. I looked down to see a dent popping out of my derby cover. Turns out, my clutch adjustment screw had been turned in too tight and I had been riding around like that which caused a whole lot of extra heat and that pin had just fired out and almost busted through the derby cover. Now I have to pay for an entirely new clutch because this one is destroyed. And, to top it all off, when I called Southbay Customs to talk to them, they never answered nor returned my calls. You stay classy, Southbay Customs! This place has 12 reviews and 11 of them are 5-stars? Yeah right! That just means this mechanic's got 11 friends writing yelp reviews for him. Three of them just talk about it as a venue and not as a motorcycle shop. Oops. Another reviewer says "And being that the nature of motorcycles is that you always either HAVE to fix them or WANT to upgrade them.. I stop by this place pretty damn often." Sorry buddy, you really shouldn't have to go to your mechanic often if he is doing a good job. Read the other 1 star review, that's a more accurate representation of what your experience will be at this shop.

SBC is more than just an incredible motorcycle shop, its a fabulous venue! I just celebrated my 40th Birthday at SBC with a themed 1970's disco party and it was the amazing place. Michael, the owner, was extremely helpful with all the details, making sure everything was going to be perfect for me. Well, he succeeded! It was a new venue for my guests and they were all raving at the uniqueness and fantasist ambiance! The price was reasonable compared to other Southbay venues and I looked for MONTHS to find just the right venue. Parking isnt an issue at night, which for the Southbay, that is always a big concern. Im not into motorcycles, but having them out, displayed as artwork was a big hit for the men and women! It is an eclectic place, I highly recommend this venue for ANY party that you want a good vibe and something super rad!!!

My band ShoplifterS played here on Saturday, 06/28/14, and I can't stop telling everyone about this place. I figured Yelp would be a good way to let loose. I had absolutely no problems with this place. From the moment you load in, to the moment you walk out the door, you are taken care of with utmost respect. The workers are polite and very excited that you are there to play. I am definitely going to come back and send other people their way, because I feel like this is the best place for music in the South Bay.

Did you guys really double book our high school reunion with another party on the same day! That's bad business. Be careful when booking u may have to find a venue 2 weeks before ur event.

This place is amazing! The owner is awesome. The artwork there is so cool! Everytime I get a chance, I stop by this place. If you are a biker or a lover or art and music! This is where it's at!

This is the coolest venue in the South Bay. We had my son's Bar Mitzvah party here last weekend. EVERYONE loved it. Such a fun space and everyone asked where we found it. The sound and lighting are superb and Michael, the owner, was present the entire day allowing the set up and party to run flawlessly. Highly recommended for any party!

I own an event production company and came across South Bay Customs for a venue for a my clients 50th birthday party. I feel like I found the hidden gem of the South Bay. Incredible venue! Michael was such a pleasure to work with and I was well taken care of. The venue is uniquely decorated and made my job so easy. The stage and sound set up was amazing. Everything from start to finish was professional- Michael and his venue made MY company look good. I look forward to doing several more events at this location. HIGHLY recommend. Hank the dog is pretty awesome too...
