"Near California’s northern border with Oregon, this coastal area draws surfers when the waves are up and can be calm enough for stand-up paddleboarding at other times; it’s also a pleasant place to explore by bike (rentals available from Redwood Rides). When hunger strikes, locals recommend the House of Jambalaya." - Adeline Duff

Gorgeous beach! Lots of parking just off the road. No fees, just open to all. Plenty of sand and room to run.. We built a monumental sand castle..

Nice walk on the beach. The sea was a bit choppy, I wouldn't have swam in it. But it was good for walking and strolling while the sun set.

Beautiful. We usually walk from the other side but either way this is one of the longest, nicest and least populated walking beaches on the Westcoast. 🤫let's keep it a secret.

What a great place to come and walk after you've eaten at the local restaurants. Beach is clean and not too populated. Water is cold. Kids playing in the background, men on paddle boats, waves crashing. Fog dissipating from morning mist. Awesome

Loved the beach, loved the waves, not crowded but it could have been due to it being a Thurs afternoon & fog all around. It was pretty neat! We walked the beach for a while picking up shells & found a few sand dollars. And we loved seeing the sea lions in the harbor across from the beach

A really nice place to stop on our drive into the redwoods. A really busy beach, with lots of campers set up. The weather was really chilly in July so come prepared!
