The hotel itself is very dated. But at US$40 per night, it is a good deal. And the free airport transfer is a big bonus.||The location is beautiful, and it rivaled views of any Five stars hotels, On the lawn side you have a beautiful view of the Sokeh Rock and Lander Island, and in the room , a panoramic view across the Mangrove Bay to Sokeh ridge. ||The staffs are super friendly, and the WIFI works well. The Japanese owner really got a great property here, but sadly it is showing its age, and a renovation is long overdue. ||The hotel is short walk to town and to the Micronesian handicraft village. The area is safe to walk, and the restaurant across the road, Cliff , is a good place for dinner , and the food are very reasonably priced.||Pohnpei is a beautiful island, and if you travel around Northern Pacific

Very friendly and helpful staff. However, be sure to reserve room at the upper terrace - the lowest rooms are very old - my estimations - more than 60 years without remodeling. Furniture was the same age. NO HOT WATER. Bath room was cracked, etc. However, the upper terrace rooms looked fine. NO WI-FI in rooms, only in public areas. However, excellent ocean view, very good and cheap restaurant, good location in downtown. Pick up at the airport (10 minutes drive)

Tastefully decorated in the 1970’s finest décor, the South Park has seen better days. The last time any maintenance or renovation was done Jimmy Hendrix was probably at the top of the charts, however don’t be put off by appearances. The views are stunning, the owners are friendly and helpful and the restaurant food is healthy and tasty. With large rooms that are blissfully quiet at night and catching cooling winds on top of the hill, this could be just the place if you keep an open mind. I enjoyed my stay. The owner will pick you up and drop you at the airport.

I have been to Micronesia 4 times including Pohnpei and Yap. This is a no frills basic hotel at about the cheapest rates you can easily work out on line in advance.I see tripadvisor showing rates listed by booking sites from $113 - 137 U.S. it is definitely not more than 40 a night hotel at most.Clean sheets and bathrooms a mini fridge but no microwave or coffeepot; cold showers; excellent views of bay from outside yard as well as a number of rooms and the restaurant. I declined room service for first 4 days then forgot and room service came in 5th day and of course cleaned. Some rusting and old tiling Staff was friendly and helpful. Food in adjacent restaurant was good. Hotel is situated about 25 minute walk to downtown. Security for room theft is a concern for lower floor but the views are great..You are within 10 minutes walking distance to the German cemetary and a Protestant church.

Our stay was pleasant. Front office staff, especially Mr. Vishnu, was very supportive. Aneesha, Anju and Sreekutty took good care of our needs.||Food was good. Rooms were freshly painted. Housekeeping crew was quite efficient.

The staff was very friendly, asking how things were going and making suggestions of things to do.||The on-site restaurant was reasonably priced and quite tasty. The cook made us an off-menu, local dish one night after a staff member suggested it.||The views from the room's balcony & the "lobby" (an open aired, not air-conditioned space with low lighting & the only available WiFi) were phenomenal.||The room was disgusting: they swept the floor in the open areas, but there was tons of debris (including lots of hair) under the beds & other furniture. There were multiple long, dark hairs on top of the comforters as well as between the sheets. The toilet had dried urine & pubic hair in the space between the toilet seat & the tank. The tub/shower has rust stains, but also black soap scum/dirt/mold smears that came off easily when I rub them a bit with toilet paper. ||The sheets on one of the beds wouldn't stay in place even for the hour we tried it while reading. Given how old the mattresses were, it was nasty to turn over & find you were laying directly on the mattress.||The bathroom sink was a pedestal sink, but the sink part was installed with a significant slant so you had to place soap down carefully or it slid right off.||The whole place was dated, but we could handle that if the place was clean and the mattresses weren't thin, saggy, and had springs that poked you.||It was especially ridiculous to see this room listed in the check-in area as "new" with a price of $120/night (which is what we paid). There was NOTHING new about this room!||||We booked here as it was the only available hotel location on Booking.com. However, it is worth looking at the other hotels and B&B's directly via their websites. See options on TripAdvisor.com.

Terrible experience, I booked with two months in advance, sending a reminder 1 month before my arrive, they answer and asked for my flight, until there, all perfect.||||Now, I arrived to the airport and supposedly someone need to be there to pick me up, but nobody was there with my name, I was lucky that another guest came in the same flight and we went together to the hotel.||||That was my first issue, when i am doing my checking they didnt have my booking, yes,you read correctly, they didnt have my booking, I cannot believe it, I started to argue with a nice guy, who wasn't to blame, but he was there, after 20 min arguing he gave my a room, he called room, I will call different, you can check the photos and put a name yourself.||||That space called room, where the AC was not really working, the fan, more or less the same, everything very old, the wifi is only in the lobby that it´s outdoors, with poor speed if many people is connect, the breakfast is not include, because the restaurant is below other people, without operation schedule, means you never know when you can have your meals. Also the place called room dont have hot water, you dont need but they dont have in case that you want. They dont provide any amenities. ||||Something in favor of the hotel, they have a great staff, super polite and nice!! they help you with everything and the towel and the sheets was clean.||||In the end....another story in my life.

People are very nice, picked me up and showed me what I needed to see about the island for my business. Unfortunately, the room was run down. Toilet did not work. Shower had rust inside. No TV - No Internet in room. They need to remodel and then it would be a nice place, since the surrounding area is beautiful.
