South Shore Tiki Lounge

We stopped into South Shore Tiki Lounge for something a little different, and it was exactly the change of pace we needed from all the nice dinners and upscale restaurants. It’s a cool, laid-back local spot with a great energy. We sat at the bar, and Amber took care of us—super friendly and seemed to know everyone who walked in. Really welcoming vibe. We ordered the personal pizzas, which were the perfect size and surprisingly good. Pricing was very reasonable, especially for Maui. Relaxed atmosphere, good food, great service—we’d definitely go back.

It's been a month since our trip and I think about this place often. Solid pizza, amazing drinks and even better crowd. Bartenders are absolute gems and the regulars are the sweetest you will ever meet jus dont start none and there wont be none.

Service was really good. The tables were fun. Our calamari and margarita pizza were delicious perfectly cooked, the beach tacos with chicken were stale. The cheese was gritty. The chicken was delicious.

Sunday Night Delight at South Shore Tiki Lounge After seeing South Shore Tiki Lounge absolutely buzzing the night before in Kalama Village, my wife and I decided to give it a try. We half-expected the same lively scene on a Sunday night, but it was surprisingly mellow – perfect for a relaxed evening. We were immediately welcomed with a warm smile and the invitation to "sit anywhere," so we naturally gravitated towards the patio where live music filled the air. First, drinks! I opted for a Beach Bum Rum, a tropical concoction of Malibu Melon, Midori, mango, and lemonade that instantly put me in vacation mode. My wife, ever the fan of local flavors, loved her Maui Brewing Company Dragon Fruit seltzer. Then came the appetizer: crispy fried calamari that arrived with an unexpected, yet delightful, surprise – fried pickles! The tempura breading was incredibly light and crispy, making every bite of calamari and pickle perfectly crunchy and incredibly flavorful. Given South Shore's reputation for pizza, we couldn't resist. Our waitress was fantastic, letting us mix and match a small pizza half-and-half. One half was the hearty South Shore Combo (red sauce, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Hawaiian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, and black olives). The other half was the intriguing Sweet Kalua (BBQ sauce, kalua pork, pineapple, and green onions), offering a satisfying play between sweet and tart. The thin, crispy crust was spot on, and they did a stellar job of splitting the flavors right down the middle. My only small note is that the sweet oil from the Kalua side did migrate a bit, affecting the tips of my savory half. If you're as particular about your pizza flavors as I am, you might consider ordering separate small pizzas to avoid any flavor mingling. Despite that minor detail, our experience was truly enjoyable. We had a great time and would certainly return to South Shore Tiki Lounge on our next visit!

Amazing atmosphere! Live music by local artists plus loud chirping birds add a unique vibe. The meals I highly recommend are in the appetizer section: pork sliders and the coconut shrimp!! For drinks, get the Beach Bum Rum or Volcano Jalapeño Martini. The only reason I’m not giving a full 5 star is I thought the Da Hawaiian pizza was just alright - not bad and not memorable either. Overall, really great experience!

My fiancé had been craving a pizza so we stopped by here. We were sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was very warm. There was live music and the server was very welcoming. We ordered a pizza and some drinks and enjoyed the music.

Great neighborhood tiki-style bar! Kitchsy but perfectly so. A little worn, but like a favorite sweater. I'm a huge Trader Sam's fan at the Disneyland Hotel, and this was like that but more "authentic" and much more reasonable. The tiki bar was great, down to the pufferfish lignts, and the Mai Tai was perfectly on point and boozy! My Thai chili pizza was terrific, with a great crust, lots of fresh toppings, and the server and bartender were super friendly as well. Looking forward to going again next time we're on Maui! By all means if you want a good deal, good food, great drinks and a perfectly touristy island experience, SSTL is the place! :)

Most reasonably priced food we found on our stay in Maui near the Kihei! Service was excellent. Stopped by for a late night dinner. Wasn’t too crowded and got seated right away. The frozen / blended cocktails were delicious and the food was delectable. Our server was fantastic.

Gotta love a great tiki bar! This is always one of our first stops when we come to Kihei. We come for the great vibe, delicious & decadent drinks, pizza like nowhere else, and friendly service. There's something just so fun about serving up umbrella drinks in Tiki glasses. Extra delicious and oh so easy going down, just go ahead and serve up round two! Our pizza was the combination of sweet, savory, unctuous pork, tangy bbq and creamy sauces. Between the 1/2 & 1/2 of No Ka Oi, and Sweet Kalua, every mouthwatering flavor was covered! No doubt we'll be back again before we hang our heads and return home.

The service was very good but the drinks were just okay. When Google recommends a place it doesn't always ring true.

Stopped by to enjoy some drinks on a Saturday night. The place was buzzing with folks and they were converting the patio seating into a club for folks to dance. We got out drinks - Mai Tai and a Lychee Martini and the waiter warned us that the drinks are supposedly strong but they were normal. Liked both our drinks but the server rushed us into placing the order and seemed like wanted us to close the tab so she could attend to other customers. Plenty parking outside the lounge. Overall a good place to grab a drink service can be tricky.

Terrible service. Apparently only 2 frazzled servers cover the entire place, bar is so slow that food comes out long before the drinks. Don't go expecting a relaxed time.

What a friendly place where they make you feel at home. Shout out to Sebastian. The mai tais are reliably delicious. However, their vegan menu was a pleasant surprise! I loved the vegan chili! My favorite not-a-dive bar with live music, on occasion.

Tiki Lounge is a charming little dive bar with a cozy atmosphere, offering live music on select evenings and a delightful selection of food and cocktails. It seems that there isn't much nightlife on the island, so after reading numerous reviews, it became clear that this is the place to be. I arrived early, before the fun truly began, just to try the pizza. One of the great things about Tiki Lounge is that they let you do half-and-half pizzas, which is a nice touch. Their pizza has eight slices, large enough to share. I went for half No Kai Oi and the other half Jungle Pie. Both pizzas feature a white sauce, which was perfect as the person I was sharing with can't eat tomatoes. It was so nice to have that option. The staff was friendly, though understandably busy, but they still made sure to check in on us when they could. I also ordered a piña colada, and let me tell you, it was strong! I'm sure some people would love that, but next time, I'll definitely ask for less strength.

First night in Maui and we went with a group of 9 for dinner and drinks here. We were able to be seated and served well in a timely fashion. The drink glasses are the best! The pizza is also good! It was fun.

The alcoholic drinks were not good, but I loved the POG juice. There is an artificial syrup taste to the drinks and the alcohol used tasted very cheap. It was well priced though. The staff are super friendly and service was great! the lounge is located in a plaza with a ton of things to do. Parking was somewhat easy to find. The lounge has live music after 830 if that is something you are interested in.

WOW, what a shocking surprise. We found this place by accident. Driving around killing time before our flight and Happened to be near by. After 4 days of weak drinks this place has REALLY good tasting strong drinks. And, on top of that, the food was unexpectedly great. I had the pork sandwich and my wife had the panko and almond encrusted fish. Wish we would have found this place at the beginning of our trip.

We were shopping, saw this place- very welcoming vibe. Had some Stevie ray playing, waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about menu items. Drinks were on point. Having visited many spots, we've had drinks all over.... Generous pour, solid prices, fast service and really tasty beverages. Food was really good. They rushed to clear the table though. I wanted a bite of my wife's fish sandwich!! Wish we had found this place sooner!

My friend and I both agreed it was one of the worst pizza's we've ever had especially at a price of $30. That said, nobody goes to tiki lounge for the pizza!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Kihei Maui. Their food is amazing. It might be perhaps the best pizza on the island. Portions are a perfect size. The food is flavorful. It's a great value and their cocktail list is amazing. If you like Tiki cocktails, this is your place. They have music in the afternoons. I can't say enough their staff as friendly as can be. They know what they're doing and they do a great job of it. They provide a great service, great food and a great value. My favorite place in Maui

The closest thing to the club in Maui. This was one of the few places that was still open after 10pm. We ended up walking here since it was close to where we were staying. We didn't try any of the food since we weren't hungry. We did enjoyed our pina colada. There's a dance floor outside and around 11pm, it was packed with people. No drinks on the dance floor though. They had pretty good music and it was a lot of fun. Met a few friendly people. We were one of the few people that weren't locals there. Worth checking out for a little night life while in Maui.

Our party found this right next to foodland and wanted to try it. We sat on the patio and got there right at 4PM. The live music started at 4, so we were able to listen during dinner. We shared Da Hawaiian pizza. It was pretty good minus the crust - it was very hard so we didn't eat much of it. The sodas were also watered down. Our waitress was great though. Very friendly!

This is one of the few spots opened at 10, and after a long day of exploring, my partner and I came here for dinner. I'm a big fan of speciality pizza, so I had high expectations. We were greeted with the most friendly servers! It was open seating and we didn't have to wait long until ordering our food. There was a bar and outdoor seating. Outside had live music!! It added such a lovely ambiance and I enjoyed the artist and her music. We asked our server for recommendations, and she suggested Sweet Kalua, Surf's Up, and Chicken Thai-Phoon. We got Sweet Kalua, as well as (on her recommendation) the TBone's Famous Sliders. TBone's Famous Sliders (4/5) So delicious!! The toasted hawaiian bun with the juicy beef was amazing. I wished there were more because I really could eat this up. I wished it came with more toppings to freshen up the dish! Sweet Kalua (4/5) Also delicious! I loved the sweetness from the grilled pineapple with the saltiness of the pork. The barbecue sauce tied the entire pizza together. I wished the pizza had more pineapple and pork overall so I could have a topping with every bite. Overall, I really liked the pizza and service here! Would definitely recommend!

First time in maui me and my husband walked in and as soon as we did they told us to wait around a table till it got cleaned so that's what we did as we were standing there the server gave me and my husband the DIRTIEST LOOK. As we sat down our server came up and she told my husband he couldn't get a drink because his id had been "damaged" as he kept asking questions about the id she kept interrupting him and being extremely rude i would not recommend going to this place she must have an awful life to be so rude to customers.

This place was so much fun. The waitress was so kind. The food was really yummy too. The drinks were strong.

Fun atmosphere, very friendly service. Live music was good. Be warned, drinks are strong! After the first one i had to ask them to go easy on me. The Sneaky Tiki drink is the best! A great casual place.

We always hit this dive bar for the VERY strong mai tais. The inside bar is mostly regulars where we typically sit. The last two visits we've been "welcomed" by very inebriated "regulars" which while annoying, they were not rude or offensive. During the last visit the bartender quickly noticed our table and spoke woth the guy and we were not bothered the rest of our visit. The outside deck is less noisy and seems to be where more tourists hang out. Live music is common with common genres. We always plan to try the pizzas, which look delish...but it hasn't worked out timing wise for our eating "schedules". As we always say ~ NEXT TIME!

The good: great drinks and delicious food. The bad: one staff in particular was very aggressive and smiled while being rude to us. Overall, we would return but would definitely not want that waitress to help us.

Genuinely the best cocktails I've ever had in my life - I had the lava flow and the strawberry mango daiquiri and both were delicious and reasonably priced for a fancy tiki drink. The bartenders were impressively attentive with fast service and the vibe was fun and chill with tiki decor on the inside. Around 10 it started to get more crowded and turn into a crowded and dancy bar.

The Pizza was good and the drinks were good so I thought. But let's start from the beginning, the service was slow. They had few customers and would get confused on what orders customers asked for taking them to wrong tables. We ordered our pizza and drinks, we received them in a decent time. When we first started to eat the food is was very tasty but the drinks were bland and the soda lacked sweetness and carbonation. It's like asking I would like soda with my ice please. When I asked for a refill I saw inside my cu, there was a cockroach inside stuck with the ice. I told the server she was like I am sorry and I will remove that for you. But this time I was already disgusted with the food questioning their cleanliness and sanitation. She asked wither lady to refill my drink she was just going to dump the ice and refill but I stated close to watch. That's when they proceeded to give me a new cup and ice. Definitely pretty nasty, be aware of cockroaches there.

We visited Tiki Lounge on 2 different nights. The first night we ordered pizza and drinks while we watched a live singer. The other night we came at a later time and DJ Kamikaze was playing. Had a great time at both nights! Also, their pizza is huge! Our server was nice to ask if we wanted our pizza cut "party style" since there were 6 of us.

Amazing thin crust pizza, I got a custom pizza with Mushrooms, garlic, ground beef, and Jalepeno Great friendly service The vibe is very laid back and there's LIVE music so it's a pleasant experience.

We had such a great time here. We had already eaten so we only had drinks however the food looked really good. The staff so kind and courteous. Drinks were amazing. It was a great experience and our bartender did not disappoint she was also very open to suggestions. I forgot her name nut I do have a pic. By the way she's a great singer

Airen is def the sole reason I will be coming back here anytime I visit from NY. She was welcoming and even treated my 3 year old nicely. She got our order perfect and even though we were taking food to go got us water complimentary. We ended up buying drinks and shots lol. She is def a GEM

Everyone there is treated like family. I love the waitress Sarah. She never misses anything She even makes it all ok for the pup pup.

It pains me to say this because of the circumstances, but my Tiki lounge experience was decidedly mediocre. The Margherita pizza was essentially just a smaller Costco cheese pizza with sliced tomatoes for double the price. It also took about 20-30 minutes for them to make it. The entire place seemed incredibly busy and their staff were rushed and stressed. That being said, their head chef was absent due to the Lahaina fires, so being understaffed and down a chef, I completely understand their predicament. They couldn't even make anything other than pizzas, and only the simplest 4 (Hawaiian, Cheese, Pepperoni, and Margherita). Therefore, I want to return soon when they're back to full strength and change my criticism into a raving 5-star review. Take this review with a grain of salt and a placeholder for a future full review!

This place is great for those staying in Kihei and Wailea. They have reasonably priced cocktails and I got the Maui Sunset which is a pina colada with mango added. It was great and very well done. They have live music and we listened to the "human jukebox" who was killing it! Make sure to stop here on your trip to Maui! Servers were fast and attentive!

Stopped in for cold beverages after a hike at La Perouse. We got there right at opening time so we had our choice of seats at the bar. Super chill island vibe at this place! Jacki was tending bar and she was awesome! She recommended the Painkiller as her fave, as well as the Mai Tai if we wanted something more boozy. I got the Painkiller and Hubs got the Mai Tai - both were delicious! (The OMG was my second drink and it was super light and refreshing, just as the menu promises!) Jacki also gave us great advice on what to visit upcountry, which was much appreciated!! Thanks for a great bevvie stop, Jacki!!

Jen was the best and so welcoming! We came during happy hour and the drinks were great as well as the food! The pizza was the absolute best too!

Came in with the whole family and Jen was our server-- she was awesome and was a major highlight of our trip. She was so efficient and kept the whole family happy. Can't wait to visit her more on our visit!

Awful security. Friend needed medical attention and the first thing we were told from security was "shut the f up" and "don't tell us what to do". Never come here.

Absolutely iconic. Friday/Saturday from 9-12 this is the best place for dancing/ music. It gets rowdy! Otherwise classic tropical drinks and actually pretty good food during the day too. We love tikis!!! :)

Best pizza I've had on the islands. Got the pepperoni and parm pie and it was cooked perfectly. Tight well seasoned and great crisp. The calamari is not to be missed here must get

We've been here twice now & both the times we ordered our custom veggie pizza & virgin pina coladas. The pizzas were thin-crust, appetizing & flavorful so we definitely recommend the pizza. We also ordered the hummus & nachos which weren't that great so probably they should remove them from the menu (hence the 1 less star here). The live music in the evenings were good & the icing on the cake so definitely recommend going here in the evening

That beautiful little red haired gal that waited on us was so pleasant and made our experience so enjoyable. Never had to ask for a refill or wait for anything, she was on it. The other girl, dark curly hair was just as kind. They were working like a well oiled machine together taking care of all the tables efficiently and so friendly! Will definitely be back to this establishment. Thank you for great food and drinks in Maui!

This spot is a repeater for me! One of the best and affordable spot to sit and eat and most definitely have a drink in this part of Kihei! Nestled neatly in between the the shops and in front of the public restrooms accross from a beautiful beach that is also home to some of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen! The service here is usually fast, they can get slower the more overwhelmed the establishment gets and I've seen them pretty packed before. The waitress I love most is a mainstay, she has been my favorite for almost 4 years! Very friendly and has my kind of humor and sarcasm! The seating area is almost entirely outdoors with maybe about 4 or 6 booths inside by the bar. They have two entrances, one for the bar and the other for seating which is outside of the bar but on the inside the restaurant itself. I've order food here before, the Burgers are amazing! The pizza is great! The last visit I order Ceviche.... Wasn't bad, but wasn't something I'd openly order again either. I've mostly come here for the drinks, well, a very specific drink: The Green Flash! Oh baby, the drink is sweet beauty. It's a blended drink and very tame. You wouldn't even know there was alcohol in it until you've knocked back 4 of them. My other favorite is the Endless Summer, similar to the Green Flash but a wee bit stronger with a different flavor. For a non-blended drink I'd reccomend the Oh My Goddess, a beautifully sweet drink but a has a silent and delayed kick. Or try.... I can't believe I'm saying this, The Lychee-Watermelon Martini *GASP* I know.... The Martini.... My mortal enemy! But this one wasn't particular bad... I could stomach having another one even!

Better than the usual bar food, the staff are fun and the music great, not to mention the cocktails. Jen is a fantastic server. A great little spot if you want a relaxed getaway. It's our must-go-to casual spot when we visit Kihei!

After doing so much souvenir shopping Airen invited us over to have some of the best pizza in Hawaii. With us being from New York it was hard thing to accomplish however mission success. Airen was a great server I will def be back.

Absolutely my favorite spot. Great Bartenders, fantastic prices and good food. They have a pretty good selection at their bar and the cocktails are fantastic. I love to go in and sit at the bar and enjoy the ambiance of the tiki life. The pizza's are around $20 and are a good amount of food, I love the No Ka Oi pizza and I think its awesome that they use El dorado 15 year rum in their PainKiller.

My friends and I stopped in for takeout and had such a great experience thanks to our wonderful waitress, Airen. Even though we were getting our food to go, she was so kind, accommodating, and made sure we were well taken care of while we waited. Our experience with her was nothing but positive. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. We'll absolutely be back and hope to see her again. Highly recommend!
