I absolutely love this place. The salmon chowder was gorgeous and surprisingly filling! Beautiful views even on a rainy day. I stayed for a couple of hours because of the atmosphere, good music and good energy from the singing chef. Wouldn't have come across this place without the freedom camping, so grateful 🙏

What a great stop to feed the Salmon. The whitebait sammie was perfectly done and the BEST we've had(12 so far) on our epic 54 days in NZ. The salmon pie is unique and tasty, but not my favorite as it was too much like a chowder.

Hidden gem and the only sign of life for an hours each way. Fresh salmon on offer in the menu which was good. Hot and cold drinks with sandwiches and hot food on offer with a singing chef in the back ground. Well worth stopping especially on a rainy day. Parking is across a bridge with a short 100m walk. A must if passing.

I had the chowder, and a piece of fried salmon on the side. The most tender delicious salmon that I've ever eaten! Stein the cook was then kind enough to give me his tips on how to best cook salmon, and answer my questions about the farm. A great experience, and I'm envious of whoever gets to own this place and live here.

Only sign of life in the area other than sheep. Such a beautiful location and the food was incredible. We tried the flatbread and the salmon plate and special, the food was so fresh and tasty. The staff were so friendly and helpful as well!! Loved this stop. The jerk salmon was the BEST.

A stop if you need a break from driving. It's quiet during my time plus there is a nearby self contained camping area as well with 2 public toilets .Food and coffee are normal but what makes this place better is u can see how the salmon has been taken care of. There is a small area where they sell souvenirs as well

It was early morning so very quiet, the salmon was delicious. Good coffee too. Next time I'll try to have the salmon chowder pie. It's so popular they had run out.

Just walk on the footbridge through the jungle and you will appear in a beautiful place with a beautiful view. 🏞 In addition, they have excellent coffee and cakes. 🫶🏽 The staff is smiling and we also liked the interior of the "barn". We recommend all ten. 👌🏽
