Southern Highland Craft Guild, Tunnel Road

Stopped in here for a tour as part of a road scholar Retreat week at Montreat North Carolina recently. Absolutely fabulous! So many beautiful crafts by true artisans. I purchased a few beautiful things here that will be functional and last for years to come. Very impressed and glad this is here. I am now looking at ordering Christmas gifts from some of the artesians whose works I purchased here for myself. Highly recommend

Wonderful shop with a variety of handmade items from local artisans. Includes jewelry, glass work and stained glass, textiles, pottery and woodwork. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

There are many beautiful, interesting, and entertaining handmade items here. On every surface and in every case, you will find something incredible and locally made. They have a decent selection of Stuart Nye jewelry (for now 😥) - an Asheville legend. The other artists represented offer many one of a kind treasures. This is a great way to support local artists and find items that will be treasures for generations. Whether you live nearby, are visiting for a while, or just passing through, I highly recommend dropping by! The shop is small enough to take it all in, but large enough to offer a great selection!

The Guild shops have some of the most beautiful fine craft anywhere. Tunnel Road (Guildcrafts) is delightful and so are the people who work there.

This is a really charming outlet for the works of local artisans. They offer beautiful and intriguing art pieces in various forms including paintings, crafts, sculptures, jewelry, leatherworks, needlecraft, candles, metal work, glasses, etc. The curator was very welcoming, knowledgeable about the art and the artists, and helpful with selection. The prices are wide-ranging from crafts for a few dollars to larger or more precious art pieces for hundreds.
