From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The service was world-class — every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to make my stay unforgettable. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the attention to every small detail throughout my visit. The rooms are elegant, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and luxury. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the panoramic view from my room was simply breathtaking. Every corner of the hotel radiates sophistication — from the lobby’s grand ambiance to the beautifully maintained facilities. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh, high-quality dishes beautifully presented, with staff ensuring that nothing was ever missing. The restaurant and room service deserve special mention for the quality of food and presentation. I stayed here as part of the Etihad layover deal and had an amazing time! I looked up the hotel beforehand, and when I arrived, I was surprised at how nice it looked in person! I thought to myself, that this should be a 5 star hotel rather than a 4. The staff were so attentive, especially the doormen (I did not have to carry my bags anywhere) and the gentleman upon check in. I was made to feel like a priority during this short stay, and the staff could not do more for you. A worthy mention for the amenities: the pool, gym, sauna and restaurants are an extremely nice touch. I especially enjoyed the view from the rooftop pool - and thanks to Guru for offering to take photos of me! Overall, this stay has made me so excited to come back to Abu Dhabi (hopefully with friends next time) and I’m so thankful to everyone that made my experience so great :)

Benefits: • Very friendly staff, quick to resolve issues. • Convenient phone numbers for contacting reception; our room had three. • Excellent rooftop pool. A very welcoming and friendly assistant named Guru is at the pool. • The breakfast food was very tasty, with red fish, hummus, and fresh orange juice that you can make yourself. • The hotel is located between the sea and Gallery Mall, each a 50-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride away. • Clean rooms, regularly cleaned. • Very beautiful interior with a bathroom in the center of the room. Suitable for couples. • Comfortable beds. • Large work desk, you can work for almost 8 hours. • Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. • High floors from 1st to 27th. We stayed on the 16th floor, and the views are good, but sometimes you can see the building next to you. Cons: - The soundproofing of the bathroom in the room is poor; you need to be quite close to your partner. - The soundproofing of the room and hallway is very poor; you hear everything going on in the hallway, but not you. - There's a large hole under the door, at least in room 1622, through which a cockroach crawled at night.

I stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. Alice was professional and welcoming. I requested to change my room and they accommodated my request and moved me without hesitation. Housekeeping guys on floor 14 are amazing. They did a great job and are super nice. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting specially that the location is close to all malls and major attractions. Taxi's are always available at the front door! We had a full-day training session at Southern Sun Hotel, and everything about the experience was outstanding. The venue was well-organized, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a productive day of learning. A special mention to Gerald, who was incredibly accommodating and attentive throughout the event. He made sure all our needs and requests were taken care of promptly, and his friendly, professional service truly stood out. The refreshments and lunch were delicious — fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. Everyone appreciated the quality and variety of the food, which kept us energized all day. Another great convenience was the valet service, which made arrival and parking completely hassle-free. It’s those small touches that really make a difference when hosting a full-day event. Southern Sun was really great place to stay. Staff were friendly and even suggested good places to visit & even made arrangements for commute.It was a relaxing hotel, with nice room & best view. I absolutely loved the food. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing experience at the Butcher’s Grill Brunch in Southern Sun Abu Dhabi. The food selection was outstanding – from perfectly grilled meats (specially the Tomahawk) to fresh sides and delicious desserts, everything was cooked and presented beautifully. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a weekend brunch. A very special thanks goes to Racheal, our waiter, who truly made our afternoon memorable. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. Her excellent service added a personal touch that made the brunch even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, warm hospitality, and a wonderful dining experience in Abu Dhabi.
