Southern Sun Abu Dhabi

My experience at the southern sun hotel was, and always has been fantastic. The facilities are always pristine with staff that go above and beyond. With a special mention to Tundeh and Eric behind the bar whose services are faultless with maximum effort applied. Moreover, the lifeguards/ pool staff are always on hand to help and will enthusiastically attend to any wants or needs you may incur. In doing so, they never fail to have a smile on their face. I’d like to personally mention Guru who has always been a personable and kind life guard who goes above and beyond his job title. His hard work does not go unnoticed and my appreciation for him and all the pool staff is sky high. Additionally, the hotel itself is spotless with all the amenities you would want and need. All members of staff are polite and attentive. Overall, the southern sun hotel is likely to be your best bet at a great stay in Abu Dhabi with many activities to do within the hotel including a golf simulator in the sports bar or themed events (e.g. sushi night). Therefore, I would highly recommend staying in the southern sun hotel whether you are a family, couple or single person.

Our experience is excellent.. this hotel is for everyone every walks of life. We had a great experience specially my son loves to swim.. i think this is the hotel where the pool is still at night at 9pm and it open at 7am... which is really nice in the morning because there is a shed and it is not hot. We love the experience as the life guards specially bob and Guru who saw my son a PROPER FREESYLE" as he is a instrutor by profession and whenever he saw kids..definitely we will be back specialy if public holidays definitely i will refer this hotel to the moms who also searching a pool with shed

I stayed at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi for around two weeks on a business trip, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.||The room was excellent — spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and gentle, always attentive and professional, which made the stay even more enjoyable.||Breakfast was unbelievable — truly great, with a wide variety and high quality every day. Facilities are also excellent: the gym, pool, and sauna are all well kept and included in the stay, which adds real value.||The location is also excellent, making it convenient both for business and leisure. During my entire stay I had only positive emotions, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Abu Dhabi for business or pleasure.

Honestly I didn’t know what to expect when staying at this hotel but it was fantastic. The room was very big and included a bathtub which was great. Location was right next to Abu Dhabi mall and galleria mall. I asked for an iron and ironing board and it was brought right to my room. The gym was great and had a lot of useful equipment compared to other hotels. Thanks to Alice and Asad for being very helpful. The hotel has basement parking and if you’re lucky, parking right outside the hotel too.

Stayed here for two weeks on a business trip and it was excellent. Spacious and comfortable rooms, unbelievably great breakfast, and outstanding facilities including gym, pool, and sauna. Staff were very friendly and professional, and the location is perfect — only positive emotions from this stay.

During our recent trip to Abu Dhabi, we stayed at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi as part of a 3-day layover, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. We arrived early in the morning, just a couple of hours before our scheduled city tour. Although our room wasn’t ready yet, the staff was incredibly accommodating and directed us to a private guest lounge where we could freshen up. The space had everything we needed—showers, toiletries, towels—which allowed us to feel completely refreshed and ready for the day ahead. By the time we returned from the tour, our room was ready—and it was beyond anything we expected. Spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, it instantly felt like a retreat. The bed was plush, the amenities thoughtfully arranged, and every corner of the room was spotless. The staff at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi were truly outstanding. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made all the difference. The location was ideal—central, safe, and convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. After busy days out, returning to the hotel felt like coming home. This stay was truly memorable. From the exceptional service to the thoughtful birthday touches, the smooth arrival experience, and the comfort of our room, Southern Sun Abu Dhabi made our short layover feel like a luxurious mini-vacation. I would absolutely recommend it and can’t wait to return.

The best hotel at an affordable price! Friendly and polite staff, a beautiful lobby, modern furniture and appliances. Upon request, they kindly provided an iron, ironing board, and bathrobes. Thank you so much! We stayed for 3 nights and truly enjoyed our time. It’s a bit disappointing that we spent our last night at Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana — despite its higher rating and similar price, the overall experience was far below: location, service, furniture,.. I highly recommend Southern Sun Abu Dhabi!
