The service was world-class — every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to make my stay unforgettable. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the attention to every small detail throughout my visit. The rooms are elegant, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and luxury. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the panoramic view from my room was simply breathtaking. Every corner of the hotel radiates sophistication — from the lobby’s grand ambiance to the beautifully maintained facilities. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh, high-quality dishes beautifully presented, with staff ensuring that nothing was ever missing. The restaurant and room service deserve special mention for the quality of food and presentation. What truly sets this hotel apart is the way it makes you feel — not just like a guest, but like someone genuinely cared for. Southern Sun Abu Dhabi is always our first choice whenever we visit Abu Dhabi. On our most recent trip, we stayed at a different hotel and realized just how much we missed Southern Sun. Next time, we will definitely choose to stay there again. The hotel is exceptionally clean, professional, and very welcoming. The facilities are excellent, including the swimming pool, café, bar, and restaurants, all of which create a very enjoyable experience. I would especially like to highlight the restaurant staff, in particular the hostess SU. She is extremely kind, always smiling, and very attentive. What truly impressed us was that she remembered our usual orders, which made us feel valued and well cared for. Thank you to the Southern Sun Abu Dhabi team, and especially to SU, for consistently providing such a wonderful and memorable stay :)

Felt Like Coming Home! My stay at the Southern Sun Abu Dhabi was absolutely exceptional, not just because of the beautiful facilities, but because of the incredible people who make this hotel special. I was in the capital in December 2025 for the phygital games of the future. From the moment I arrived, I was treated like family. Alice and Kal at Reception were warm, efficient, and set the perfect welcoming tone. Santosh at the front door was always there with a genuine smile and a helping hand, making every return to the hotel a joy. A huge thank you to the entire Housekeeping team. Your attention to detail and incredibly friendly, homely nature made my room a true sanctuary. You made me feel completely at home. For wellness, the hotel excels. The gym is world-class, and the attendant was a true professional, ensuring everything was perfect. My swims were fantastic thanks to the attentive lifeguards and that stunning pool with its breathtaking view of the Corniche. The restaurant breakfast buffet was a delight—fresh, plentiful, and with perfect timing (6-10:30am is a lifesaver for late risers!). It was the ideal start to every day. Thank you to the management and entire team for an amazing stay. You’ve created something special here, where luxury meets genuine hospitality. I can't wait to return

I stayed here as part of the Etihad layover deal and had an amazing time! I looked up the hotel beforehand, and when I arrived, I was surprised at how nice it looked in person! I thought to myself, that this should be a 5 star hotel rather than a 4. The staff were so attentive, especially the doormen (I did not have to carry my bags anywhere) and the gentleman upon check in. I was made to feel like a priority during this short stay, and the staff could not do more for you. A worthy mention for the amenities: the pool, gym, sauna and restaurants are an extremely nice touch. I especially enjoyed the view from the rooftop pool - and thanks to Guru for offering to take photos of me! Overall, this stay has made me so excited to come back to Abu Dhabi (hopefully with friends next time) and I’m so thankful to everyone that made my experience so great :)

I stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. Alice was professional and welcoming. I requested to change my room and they accommodated my request and moved me without hesitation. Housekeeping guys on floor 14 are amazing. They did a great job and are super nice. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting specially that the location is close to all malls and major attractions. Taxi's are always available at the front door! Thank you Southern Sun team for a memorable experience!

Best hotel so far I have visited. Reception is so friendly and helping. Reception is so much welcome with amazing fragrances. Rooms are big enough and clean .. we didn’t try food but we visited and it’s looks yummy.

The Southern Sun Abu Dhabi offers an exceptional guest experience, distinguished by the truly outstanding hospitality of its staff. The Reception team was the absolute best, providing a genuinely warm, friendly, and efficient check-in experience that set a high standard for the entire stay. This level of service continued even after I had checked out; the hotel graciously and securely held my belongings, turning a potentially difficult travel day into a completely hassle-free and truly friendly experience. This hotel delivers world-class service and is highly recommended.

We liked the service (especially Myo at the lobby café) and the welcoming lobby during our stay at the Southern Sun Hotel. Many thanks for that! On the other hand, the room had a very bad smell and we could not open the windows, which made it a pain staying in the room.
