Excellent hotel, right next to the convention centre. The restaurant in particular was superb. The seafood was the best I've tasted in many years. It helps to be just a few hundred metres from the fish market!

Excellent Service they have at the Southern sun Dar es salaam, they brought the Sunday Brunch gig, where as the food was so perfectly tastey, the ambience was good and the staff were sk welcoming, more complements to Ayoub who attended to us very well and oftenly. We really felt cared for. My Girlfriend even planned to bring her family next time, we loved our time there, food and services were on point 🔥💯||I recommend people to try the Sunday Brunch

Everything was great..from the room to the breakfast, to the staff. One of the best staff I have experienced in a long time. Two of them stood out - Ayoub and Nurdine. They went over and above to listen and provide assistance where needed. They remembered my name, my usual table at breakfast, what I liked, etc...

Stayed there for over a week.. it was an amazing experience especially the staff was so warm an welcoming! Loved the smiles all along the way! Kudos to the staff.. A special mention for Ayoub! What a gem of a man.. he was there to assist me in every way possible, I just had to tell him once and he knew what had to be done throughout the stay.. To the management at Southern Sun, give this man a raise or a promotion.. He deserves it.. Honestly he was the guy who made my stay better and more comfortable, loads of respect and Kudos to you Ayoub! I gave four stars because of him even when the stay deserved 5, deducted 1 star because of a small thing, call me spoilt but guys please get bidets installed in your bathrooms😅 and have some more options in the breakfast buffet Otherwise it was splendid! Also a special thanks to Mr. Duncan (GM) for making it a point to walking up to everyone and check up on them every morning during breakfast. Great team and a warm place to stay Highly recommend everyone to visit!

Very good food and hospitality. We went for breakfast only and we felt very welcome. We sit outside and we had to deal with a lot of fly around our food.

Southern Sun It’s a high privacy hotel . It implies a focus on providing guests with a secluded and discreet experience, offering amenities and designs that prioritize quiet, exclusivity, and minimal disturbance. The rooms were absolutely comfortable and clean, the staffs are very friendly(Credits to AYOUB he is very attentive to guests, made us helpful recommendations, he gave us topnotch services on time and we sincerely thank him for making our dining experience enjoyable . when we come back we hope you take care of us again because we were so impressed at how well you did your job!)The restaurant is very cozy, the breakfast buffet is a not to miss, everything on the menu is superb ! Not to mention the signature Tuna was extremely scrumptious, I can still taste it ! Thumbs up to the chefs they never disappoint, because every time i walked by the restaurant my meals were just Wow! Thank you for making our stay comfortable,we appreciate your hospitality so much. Looking foward to be back there soon again and again and again ….

This was my second stay after my first in October 2024. Again I had a great stay and wish to compliment the GM Bruce Chapman for maintaining high standards at a very affordable price. |Kudos to Bruce and kudos to the Southern Sun! Everything works perfectly fine, as opposed to many much more expensive hotels I've stayed in.
