Mövenpick Hotel Ikoyi Lagos

I recently spent four weeks at the Movenpick Hotel Ikoyi Lagos and had a wonderful experience. The staff's exceptional service and warm welcome made me feel right at home throughout my entire stay. The rooms are not only spacious and comfortable but also have every amenity you could need. I'd like to extend a special thanks to Sandip, Paul, James, Flora, and Esther for their incredible hospitality.

I chose Movenpick as the venue for my 60th birthday party. I had a buffet for 80 guests in the Oduduwa Hall. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They even made a birthday cake for me and brought it into the hall as a surprise singing Happy Birthday. My guests and I had a wonderful time. Thankyou Movenpick staff.

Movenpick is that hotel really. What stood out for me was their food! The chefs are amazingly skilled. I loved that I could find what I knew and try out food I haven't had before. Each meal was well labelled and it was a buffet setting. I loved the pineapple and orange juices the most!!! Additionally, I love the "care" the hotel put into providing amenities for each guest's welfare. Everything was thoughtfully curated. Also, the staff were always so willing to help out and were professional while at it. It is really commendable. However, something I didn't exactly like was that the fridge was available for only items put up for sale. I feel like the occupants for each room should have access to preserve things they wish to freeze overnight. Plus, for rooms with double bed, it means there will be two occupants, why can't each share breakfast? Finally, checking out time by 11am as opposed to the 12am I am used to was a shock to me. Maybe the hotel can also look into this. Overall, I really loved my stay and I will miss the food so much! Sadly, I have no picture to show for the amazing food!

We spent a weekend in the hotel, my second visit in two years. My family and I used to visit regularly when it was the Southern Sun and we particularly enjoyed the Sunday brunch as a family and the friendly team. With the name change I was worried that some of the comforts we enjoyed would not be there (I’m not too familiar with the Movenpick brand). Well, it was such a pleasant surprise. The brunch was as good (perhaps better!) than ever and many of the same friendly staff are still there. My children were extremely happy and we felt welcomed by everyone including the GM and all of the staff from the doormen to all the restaurant staff, front desk, bar and rooms. The chocolate hour was a real treat (I’m told it’s a Movenpick thing) and we were able to go back a few times to help ourselves! The area to improve is perhaps time to refurbish the rooms and I did mention it and was told this is already happening…so look forward to coming back soon! The most important thing is the service and they still get it right. I don’t take this for granted in Lagos.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with courteous and well-trained staff. Service pricing is fair and reasonable. The venue is particularly well-suited for scheduled conference meetings, offering a conducive and professional environment for business gatherings.

Our stay at the hotel was truly a comforting experience before our flight out of Lagos. Finding a place that could accommodate two adults and two kids with two queen beds was a challenge, but this hotel made it easy for us. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made our time there even more enjoyable. I particularly loved the food at the restaurant; it was a real treat! When we return to Lagos, I will definitely choose to stay here again. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Movenpick for making our stay so pleasant. Our team's recent stay at the Movenpick Ikoyi Hotel was incredibly enjoyable. The room was spacious and well-equipped, making my stay very comfortable. The location was also fantastic, serene and easy to find. The reception staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating ensuring our stay was amazing. We were there for a conference and I must say, it was truly amazing from the food to the services.
