Southern Sun Maputo

An older renovated beach hotel, but beautiful all the same. Absolutely fantastic views, and gorgeous infinity pool. The lift was super charming... Looked more like an art gallery than a lift. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful.

We stayed here twice, first on our way up to Legogo Beach and then again on our way home, making it a perfect luxury stop-over. Magical location right on the beach with the perfect family room overlooking the ocean. The 5-star breakfast was included and a special thanks to John Rutherford for all the help. Will definitely see you again soon.

Highly recommended. We stay here often and always have a great experience. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is consistently excellent. The management team is attentive and always willing to help with any queries or requests. All the staff are warm and welcoming, which makes every stay feel special.

Exceptional service and food, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. George from the bar always ensured our drinks were cold and ready on arrival, breakfast staff Rafael and Aldino was just as great. Would definitely recommend.

Best breakfasts. Very helpful people. Great views. Great service. Meticulously maintained. Perfect for solo travelers and families that wants to experience the heart of Maputo. Also has great facilities for corporate and government events.

I have had an extended stay and I can say without a doubt that the hotel is top class and well managed. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good also.
