Had the best service from Paul Phiri. He makes the best cocktails in Zambia — especially the Cosmopolitan and Apple Martini, which we enjoyed the most. Always friendly, approachable, and professional. A real highlight of our time at Southern Sun. Highly recommended! The food is also great. Just need to fix the phone lines in room and flickering tv

The Southern Sun is my go to hotel in Lusaka and one of my favourite hotels in Africa. I have stayed at the hotel several times since 2015 and it feels like coming home every time I'm there. The staff make the place! They are just wonderful! Rooms are great, so is the gym and the pool. The restaurant is a really nice place to relax and the food is great. I look forward to come back to my family at the Southern Sun in the years to come.

Our weekend getaway at Southern Sun Ridgeway couldn’t have been more perfect! From the receptionists being helpful and friendly to the housekeeping crew keeping our room pristine to the maintenance staff helping us fish out our sons dummy from the pond! And finally, the restaurant staff; huge thank you to everyone but especially Dyness, Catherine, Jack and John! I could rave about these guys for ages but the service was nothing but spectacular! Friendly and kind to our son, food was exemplary every single time (shoutout to the chefs!) and so so helpful with editing orders to make them more kid friendly, I can’t say enough good things! Huge thank you to everyone at Southern Sun Ridgeway for making our family getaway literally PERFECT! I would just say maybe a small kids menu addition to really make it the best family friendly hotel I’ve ever been to!

John was exceptional. I ordered Portuguese steak with a side of vegetables. The steak was prepared perfectly, however the vegetables a lil to oily. Less than 5 minutes into our meal, John asked how the meal was and i gave him my honest opinion on the vegetables. He was sincerely apologetic and had a fresh bowl of steamed vegetables brought to the table in under 5 minutes. The key pointers for me to this experience is in less than 5 minutes someone checked up on us to ensure all was well and when it wasn't the same person took less than 5 minutes to fix it . Exceptional great service 10/10 :)

Great location in Lusaka. Possibly the oldest and best with a superb bar and restaurant with ponds, palms, weaver birds and crocodiles to enjoy whilst you eat and drink. The pool is large and in a lovely garden. Facilities and staff are great.

Ordered a chicken alfredo pasta for takeway and enjoyed a glass of cronier The service at the bar by Paul and gift was very good,and the music he played really complimented my evening.. I also meet the manager John who was equally wonderfull...i could not get the full information on how to become a ridgeway member it seems the process is long and complicated..i would also suggest if u could consider opening the pool to the public also as a local client i dont see much advertisement targeting the locals.

First off Musa and Patrick were very accommodating in assisting me with my stay, and the staff as a whole were extremely friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms, well priced and hats off to the chefs for the beautiful breakfasts and dinners. Thank you see you guys next year !!!

Beautiful experience at this hotel. Food was delicious and portions were large. Rooms were Beautifully set up. Staff are amazing and super helpful 👏 👌 Pond at the breakfast area has 4 baby crocodiles 🐊. Enjoyed watching the crocodiles.
