Full Review
The hotel was clean, well presented, and comfortable, with a pleasant temperature throughout. The food was tasty, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and polite.
It’s located in a safe and attractive part of Johannesburg, offering a complimentary shuttle service to Nelson Mandela Square — running roughly once an hour during the day and every 15 minutes in the evening. This makes it easy to reach the many restaurants, shops, and attractions in the area without needing a taxi.
The gym is small but adequate, featuring free weights up to 14 kg, a bench, a couple of bikes, and treadmills — all in good working order. There’s also a pool, which is a nice bonus. However, if you want a more serious workout, there’s a fully equipped gym right next door, where hotel guests can buy a day pass for about 70 rand.
Security is excellent — key cards are required for lift use and access to all parts of the hotel, which makes you feel safe and well looked after.
The only slight downsides were the slow drink service and the small gym, which together just hold it back from a perfect score.
Overall, it’s a comfortable, safe, and well-run hotel that’s ideal for both business and leisure stays in Johannesburg.
