We recently stayed at Southern Sun Sandton and found it to be a comfortable and conveniently located hotel in the heart of Sandton. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant environment for relaxation. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay especially Dikeledi & Masega. The hotel’s location is a significant advantage, with easy access to nearby shopping centers and restaurants. The complimentary shuttle service to Mandela Square was a convenient feature that we appreciated. Breakfast was enjoyable, featuring a variety of options to suit different tastes. While the food quality was good, there is room for improvement in terms of service speed during peak hours. Overall, Southern Sun Sandton provided a pleasant stay with its comfortable accommodations and prime location. We would recommend it to travelers seeking convenience and comfort in Sandton.

Great clean rooms plus you're in walking distance from one of the best malls in Africa.. Uber accessibility is great plus the in-house shuttle service is a nice touch.. The staff is very helpful and friendly.. The area is safe and close to a lot of good spots for activities..

Loving my stay... its so majestic. We had a very late but warm welcome amidst winter.the rooms are top notch and immaculate. I love the desk . #bossvibes Amazing shower. The breakfast was delish . My son absolutely loved the variety and had so much fun I also enjoyed 24hr gym access . So nice for people with a busy schedule. Really value for money and thr bed was really comfortable and I slept all the way thro and usually I don't!

The hotel is very good and is located in the centre of Sandton. The breakfast was delicious and was a buffet with many options. The TV is not smart and the available channels are poor and limited. The drain plug in the shower floor was off.

Service at this hotel is the worst I've ever had from any hotel. The reception stuff is great I must add. However their restaurant staff is just terrible. From the rude male chef to the manager, everyone is just terrible. A few people stood out service wise and that was Thabang the bar man. Brain and Stanford I think his name was. These three guys redeemed the bad service, they were excellent. But I doubt I'll ever return. The air-conditioning and phone in my room never worked even after they were "fixed" so I couldn't even order in on the days I didn't feel like leaving my room. A terrible 2 week stay it was!

Good parking, nice waiting areas, the rooms are quite nice depending on the side you get. We were first assigned a room with wierd looking views with some kind of large pipe line. The aircon made a funny sound and the bathroom extract system did not work. We were moved to another room but the bathroom extraction still did not work,that is a significant health risks considering there isn't any windows in the bathroom. The maintenance people basically came and told me that the extraction was working ( gaslighting at it's best), no troubleshooting, nothing done to demonstrate that it actually works. The phone charging sockets on the side of the bed did not work, we had to be given a plug so we can charge by the table.||We were booked for 2 nights, hence we had to cancel the 2nd night stay.||I would not go back here.
