Been here many times and my favorite time of year to visit is during Christmas! They have the brewery decorated so cute each year and if you order one of the Christmas cocktails (menu pictured) it comes in a fun cup! Ordering is super easy, just scan the QR code on the tables and they’ll bring it to you a few minutes later (even when the place is super busy!). Parking has gotten a bit tricker. The paved lot outside is now paid but you can get it validated. I personally have just parked in the grassy lot to of avoid all of that. The whole payment system of that lot that used to be free and easy to park in is super annoying. Bathrooms have always been a bit dirty on busy days and usually have a line for the women’s. If you come during Christmas time definitely sit inside so you can enjoy the decorations! They really go all out.

We hosted our gyms holiday party at Southernside this past weekend and it was a blast! We utilized their semi-private brew room space & it worked perfectly for us. The holiday decor is next level, their catering was easy & delicious, and the bowling was so much fun! Jenny did an awesome job helping us coordinate this event & was very responsive & helpful. Our members had an excellent time. Would highly recommend Southernside for your next party!

Google
So, first off, this is such a great location, especially if you are visiting Unity Park for a bike ride or long walk. There's plenty to do for the entire family. If you are older with no kids at home, and can't handle noise, you may want to pick another location. Lots of games and bowling to hear. That said, I had a spicy chicken sandwich that overflowed the bun. It was perfectly cooked, and came with fries. My wife had a chicken Caesar Salad, which she said was even better the next day when she ate the leftovers. I had the Stout beer and she had a Wit beer. I've included pics of my friends make as well, but can't remember what they ordered, but I think she had a Reuben and he had a burger (which I tasted and it wasn't for me - too overcooked - I like a good quality burger medium-rare). He has a bock beer which was pretty good. I'm not a big fan of DIY ordering as I like to ask questions before I decide. It was very hands off and didn't feel a connection with the wait staff. All I saw of them was to clear my dishes, which they were very efficient at, almost to much so, since they kept reaching over the table to get things while some were still eating. Overall, the food was good, the atmosphere pleasant, the beer really good and the food also good. Recommendation: Go see for yourself!

Google
Beer is great. Food is good. Atmosphere awesome. Employees the best. 10/10! ...love how all out they go each season on the decorations. Always fun to come back to.

Google
I really liked this brewery! You just scan the menu at your table and they bring food and drinks right to you – super easy and chill. They also have a mini arcade and a bowling alley, which was such a fun surprise. I had a great time drinking and bowling – definitely a fun night! It’s basically a playground for grown-ups (but kid-friendly and pet-friendly enough for the whole fam).

Google
I've been to breweries allover the world and this one is excellent for families young and old. Great location and lots of seating and options for fun! Great beers ( love the hazy IPA ) and solid food..wings were excellent and so were the fried pickles 😀.

Chris D.

Google
Good beer selections and food, but bartenders making craft cocktails really slows down the service and creates a line. A dozen screaming kids running around everywhere doesn't make it as enjoyable.

Randi O

Google
Excellent burger. The bartender muddled up some fresh cucumbers and mabe me a titos cucumber martini. Yummy. I saw the Brussel sprouts they looked amazing. The cucumber and onions.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
What a cool place. I loved the outdoor space!! Maybe it was because it was July 3rd and there was a fireworks show that evening, but there were soooo many kids here. Not really enjoyable with young kids running around and screaming. Not a popular opinion, I'm sure, but it is a brewery. For adults. Beer was good and cold. Food was okay. The pretzels were good and so were the Brussels sprouts. They had a chili dog on the menu when I was there and it missed the mark by a long shot. I'm pretty sure it was canned Hormel chili or at least tasted like a canned concoction. Service was decent for how busy it was but you're better off heading to the bar to get your beverage or you'll get thirsty. Overall, it was a mediocre experience but not such that I wouldn't give it another shot when in the area again. Perhaps not over a holiday. We were busy visiting with family and didn't get pictures.

Saighdiuir ..

Yelp
Beer was average. My major complaint is the "scan with phone" menu / pay system. We had horrible cell reception inside the restaurant which made the process or ordering difficult. We finally got our order in, and the service was okay, but because our level of frustration at that point was HIGH, it made our experience unsatisfactory. Too many good places to enjoy that DON'T leave me agitated during my meal. Won't be returning.
google avatar

Heidi W.

Yelp
Went for burger & print night for $10 on Thursdays. It was good. But, my boyfriend and I will NOT be back. This place used to have free onsite parking but it now requires you to pay or park far away in a dirt lot. Not worth it. Sad bc I really liked this place but management is getting stingy and it's showing... support somewhere else in Greenville
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer and watched some football. Large inside and outside areas. Order at counter and seat yourself. Service was great didn't wait long for anything.
google avatar

Jeff J.

Yelp
Updated 5/30/25-- Even though server explained that refills are free, you just have to reorder, soft drink refills are $3.00. Not big on bad info. Also dining outside, the flies are THICK. One constant swat to keep them away from your food. Cajun Chicken Sandwich still very good!
google avatar

Krystal G.

Yelp
Dog friendly, the staff and customers were very sweet when we brought our very old gal for a visit. Made sure she had water and a puppy cup after her long car ride from out of town. Very relaxing area inside or out. Food items are plentiful and tasty. The seasonal Turkey Burger i ordered was really good as was everything else. The Sweet Potato Fries are some of the best I've ever had! We usually stop here when coming to Greenville. The only downside is all the yellow jackets that come around to hang out with you when you have food or drinks.

Nick R.

Yelp
really awesome atmosphere and lots of tasty craft beers. The Irish stout was delicious. very friendly to the diabetes community.
google avatar

Jerry T.

Yelp
We were visiting my Son's in Greenville stopped in here to try a few Craft beers on tap. I really love the brewery because it has so much room inside and also a very large outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. My friendly server quickly poured me a beer flight and really enjoyed the Dropkick Irish Stout( on Nitro) 4.2% with a creamy mouthfeel. Also my very favorite was the Stare Too Long stout, Imperial Double 10.8% Wow! Dessert in a glass! And finally the Deluminate Belgian Quadruple 11.0% was pretty amazing. I will make a point to visit here next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a family and pet friendly location their outdoor area is a great choice. However, the service is subpar and you have to order through a QR code. The food is OK but nothing special. Great location, low quality food.
google avatar

Hans B.

Yelp
A Sunday pm.. and this is a great open space.. but it is Sunday pm and people have brought their young children... And it is great open space for kids to run around Outside.....so ...we went indoors...lol So the place has good music, decent beer and ok food-- based on what we ordered It's light and open spaced. 2 pool tables and TV's You order food separately no waiters and get a buzzer..pick up at the window.. Beer and cocktails are a separate spot . Beer is good.... cocktails felt watered down a bit....a crown and ginger ..tasted more like spicy ginger ale Food ---barbecue chicken sandwich was good with pickles and coleslaw... Fries as a side. portabella mushroom sandwich was also ordered. This was ok more bread than anything else. Fried pickles were different... gherkins split longitudinal. Not soggy or mushy All were good..but didn't wow me to want to come back. As the previous review say It's a family-friendly brewery.... I may have underestimated this. So if you want to drink some beer and let your kids run around this is the perfect place for you. It may be worth a visit for you to check out..and determine if you want to stay, leave or go back
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
The location is huge, with plenty of nice outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing with friends. Ordering is super convenient--you just scan a QR code at your table, place your order, and it's delivered right to you. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious brews. Highly recommend!

Yelp
How many times do I have to be dragged into an overpriced millennial disaster before I learn my lesson. First off, they make you order off of a website that is unintuitive and confusing for people of all ages. Then they overcook your burger into a rubber puck and make you freeze to death while eating it because they wanted to leave all the doors open when it's 40 degrees out. Absolutely no customer service either and the table and chairs were filthy upon arrival. Just another overpriced cash grab that needs to be taken out back.
google avatar

Nate N.

Yelp
Arsenal Supporters (Greenville Gooners) watch matches here, which was initial draw, but this place has it all!! Awesome outdoor area with music. Beers were tasty with many varietals available. Food was delicious (crab cakes and braised short rib grilled cheese)!! Staff was great and easily made friends while watching the games.
google avatar

Lori L.

Yelp
This is such a great place. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Their Winter Wonderland is so beautiful. Their food is delicious. Their outdoor space is fantastic. I can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Christopher D.

Yelp
Can't speak to the food but the beer was good and the seltzer they offer was truly amazing. Also a perk is that you find a table or couch to hang out at and order and pay via the QR code on the table. It's a fun spot
google avatar

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! Lots of great views of the Swamp Rabbit. Fun spot for after work drinks!

G B.

Yelp
Bar service was awesome! Food was ok. Brussels sprouts were burnt to be point hey we're uneatable! Don't friggin fry them until they are burnt! For goodness sakes! Food service expediters were rude and terrible. Sunday 4-8 shift
google avatar

Cara E.

Yelp
Southernside Brewery has a laid-back vibe. The inside is nice, and their outside space is really big and open. They have a ton of tables with umbrellas outside, as well as a covered patio with a tv. They have corn hole, outdoor Jenga, and more. In addition to beer, they have a full bar and cocktail menu, which is nice for non-beer drinkers! They also have a full food menu. They have a parking lot, and they are located along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. They are dog friendly and family friendly!

Cheryl B.

Yelp
I stopped by on 2/5/25 to purchase a bottle water! There were 2 employees standing in front of me! The chucky lady & bushy bearded guy didn't acknowledge me standing there! I'm a woman of color! The bushy bearded guy looked me in face & acknowledge the other customers that was white people! I politely gave the water to the chucky lady & told her I'll just go elsewhere! Thanks but no thank you! Bad customer service

Ross M.

Yelp
Thursday burger specials Great deal and good beer Downside was $20 glass of wine?? It wasn't Caymus!
google avatar

Terry J.

Yelp
Had a ball here! They had a little vendor event going on. Live music. The food was great and the beer and drinks were on point. We ordered one of every app to share and a couple of flights and has zero complaints!
google avatar

Grace E.

Yelp
Delicious dinner and beer. Went here to try their drinks and food for a night out, was not disappointed. It was 8:30pm on a Saturday night WITH live music & the service was super fast, plus we got our food before we were even half way done with our first beer. They have a pretty decent selection of beers and cocktails to choose from so if your into one thing or another they will probably have something you'll like. The pretzels were literally so buttery and BOMB, I would recommend getting them just to snack on while you drink! I loved the aesthetic of the interior too! Lots of space for bigger groups and it's appears to be dog friendly.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
So found this to be your average brewery. The beer was great, however food was mediocre. We liked the location since you can get right on Swamp Rabbit trail right from the brewery. This just wasn't for us...from the music to lots of people with babies and young kids. If your looking for a family friendly brewery this may be your place.
google avatar

Jazzi J.

Yelp
Oh my! This place is cool. Several outdoor tables with large umbrellas for shade. Corn hole and they let you bring your pups. Lots of choices for brews and good food too. We had the pretzel with beer cheese appetizer. Chicken caesar salad and buffalo chicken wrap for lunch. We went on a Sunday around 2 pm. Not too busy but a nice crowd. They even had a few "festival" type vendors selling various items. Some clothing, candles, soaps, etc. Overall nice place and we will be back!!
google avatar

Laura-Grace D.

Yelp
I think it's decorated really nice, has a cute/fun atmosphere, & could be good for college age kids to hangout at. But as a restaurant experience I really disliked it. You don't have a waiter- you seat yourself & you order everything from your phone. Or you can go to the bar & try to order. They have water stations across the restaurant in coolers (like football game coolers) with tiny glasses. And the food (in my opinion) was bad. Felt like all frozen food & Didn't like the sauces we tried. Although the wings were decent. And it was honestly kind of expensive for what you get. Sorry just wasn't a fan
google avatar

Florencia Z.

Yelp
Was visiting SC and decided to check out this place. Super cute, good music. Great indoor and outdoor area! The apple Pie was delicious and they have a full bar!!! Happy we decided to check it out, well worth it! We took our son, and it was perfect!
google avatar

Stephen D.

Yelp
If you want a good textbook brewery this place is the spot. It's a little too cookie cutter brewery for me but the beer and food were good enough to have me back again.
google avatar

Diana A.

Yelp
Love the outdoor setting and ambience.. many families come with their dogs .. so best of both worlds. The beer is awesome and food is great! Kids have fun while adults and pets enjoy the outdoors looking out the trail and The Commons area.. the bee project will be great for the city! Best advice is the bourbon bacon jam Burger
google avatar

Tori P.

Yelp
AMAZING! From Asheville and so we decided to try breweries out here and the cocktails are awesome. Brussels sprouts were amazing. Super fast super friendly service. I 11111000% recommend

Boston E.

Yelp
There is something wrong with their cash register. Be warned that when you go to this place you will be charged for what you ordered TWICE. The second charge will remain on your account for up to TWO WEEKS. I have been to this place 3 times and it has happened every time. I've ordered from my phone and at the bar and it doesn't matter the second charge will show up and stay there for weeks. If you have limited funds DO NOT GO HERE they will double charge you.

Yelp
Met some friends here for drinks and a good time and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! The business has ample parking in this dog friendly and children friendly. The bathrooms were clean and welcoming and so was the establishment. There's plenty seating inside and outside. They have an awesome selection of draft beers brewed in house and some great recently made food. The brussels sprouts were delicious and the chicken tenders were very flavorful just very small. Our table was also a big fan of the fried pickles and the buffalo chicken dip! I also had the shredded barbecue chicken sandwich and fries which were delicious as well. We also truly loved the option to just scan the QR code and waitresses knew what table we were at and brought our items out for this without us having to stand at the bar. This definitely made our day trip to Greenville very enjoyable and we will definitely be back.
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Had a really nice time here. They have a ton of space, including lots of outdoor space for games, picnic tables, and spots for kids to play. It was busy when we were there, but got a spot out of the sun with no problem. The line was long coming in, but the bartenders handled it well and we waited maybe two minutes at most. There was lots of energy and cheer, and the mood was joyful. I wasn't overly impressed by any of their beers, but the coconut porter and their German-style beer were definitely solid and enjoyable to drink. We tried their truffle fries, and they were wonderful- my girlfriend loves truffle flavor and liked them, while I could still enjoy them even though truffle is not my thing. It feels like a bar/open-space brewery inside, and like a city park outside. We played pool and sat in the sun. Will definitely go back to try some of the other beers. One of the better breweries in Greenville, especially if you want to be outside but not downtown.
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
Decorated the cutest for Christmas time! Had a couple beers and their chicken sandwich with Cajun fries which was delicious! Great atmosphere for friends and families. My husband and I will be back!
google avatar

Doug V.

Yelp
This wasn't a good place to go to for an outdoor experience. The food is OK, but it was more of the experience of a place to go and hang out. We walked there from downtown and it was a nice walk.

Sandi B.

Yelp
I go for the vegan. They don't have much vegan but what they do have is delicious . The sweet potato fries are amazing and their hard cider is yummy. the service is always friendly and fast it would be great if they had more vegan options though . We are growing in numbers .
google avatar

Rj N.

Yelp
Beer and food is always great. Love the QR code ordering system. Great service as well. Music tends to be too loud on the inside. They do have big TVs if you want to watch an event. Great spot overall
google avatar

Landen Y.

Yelp
It was pretty rainy today so we weren't able to enjoy the awesome patio this place has to offer, however the indoor portion was very clean, spacious & comfortable. The brews were very tasty and priced accordingly, and between the 5 of us, everyone loved their food. In the dining room there are also a pair of pool tables, and for sunnier days, there is cornhole for the patio area, which is also very spacious. We had a really good time today, even if the weather didn't cooperate & are looking forward to coming back!
google avatar

Marc Z.

Yelp
The food was good and there was a fun and chill ambiance outside for both adults and kids. Definitely a cool spot if you're looking for a good drink or beer and wings/burger.
google avatar

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Lettuce on burger was rotten, lettuce in salad was wilted. When we asked how things worked with our drinks a table buster informed us just wave one of them down and they would do refills. Waived one down, I was informed they did not do that, only cleaned off the table. On top of that a tip was automatically taken out. Who am I tipping? Never again. The only thing I liked about the place was that atmosphere.
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
Great space for large groups either indoor or outdoor. There food is made to order and delicious. I highly recommend the chicken fingers. They are the most delicious chicken fingers in town. The staff is great. They are constantly walking around grabbing empty glasses off tables. The one thing they need to work on is having more people behind the bar taking orders. It is incredibly annoying having to stand in a long line to order a drink. You should probably order two at a time so you can enjoy your time with friends as you may spend more time waiting in line for a drink than with your group. Overall, my experiences here have been great.
google avatar

Devi A.

Yelp
I really like this place but my last visit was disappointing, I had to leave a review. Sitting at the bar on a Wednesday late afternoon, trying to get service was tough. Initially, the bartender on duty when we sat was extremely attentive, got us our beers and put in food, then his shift was done. I sat with an empty glass for a little bit and a bald beer tender came over and picked up my empty glass. I told him I wasn't sure what I would like next and he said, oh I was just clearing your glass, stood there awkwardly and told me to just holler at him when I had decided what I wanted then went down to the other end of the bar. It wasn't busy. Then my husbands glass was empty and mr bald man came down to our end of the bar again, but it was just so that he could crack his back on the bar. Didn't even acknowledge the empty glass this time. There was a girl working too, long blond hair and she didn't notice the empty glasses either. I've worked in the industry for many years and know good service. The last time I was there, I realized that the staff on this particular shift were pretty sub par, especially the bald guy. Luckily, the bartender who's shift was over and was clocked out, noticed our empty beers felt bad and went behind the bar to get us more beers and ring us up. Bartending is not hard, especially if you're just pouring beers. You see an empty glass and ask if the guest would like another. I hope southernside will address this issue and take note on who are stars and who are duds.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Next time you have a private event put some signs up instead of letting us get all the way to the bar and being told to kick rocks.
google avatar

Leeann M.

Yelp
I don't know where to even begin with this review because of how amazing this place is, so I'll start with the drinks! Their Peach Milkshake IPA was fantastic, and I highly recommend if it's still available! It's not overly sweet or heavy like a lot of Milkshake IPA's can come off as, and the hops come through nicely and really compliment that peach flavor. Their cream ale is also spot on. They have a huge bourbon selection, and a lot of great specialty house cocktails. They honestly have a little bit of everything for everyone, along with a water and soda station, so you can't go wrong! The food though...omg. Honestly, just try everything if you can, but especially their deviled eggs, bourbon bacon jam burger, southern fried chicken sandwich, truffle fries, and pimento cheese mac & cheese. All to die for at such a great price because all of their "Mains" come with a side, and everything is made in-house! (Except the ranch for obvious reasons) The staff here are great! They're all very friendly and inviting from the second you walk in, and are super attentive to guests. The bartenders also kill it behind the bar, especially on the crazy busy day that we were there. Slinging beers and making cocktails at lightning pace. Nate, the owner, is local to Greenville and is one of the most down to earth people, so def give him a shoutout if you happen to run into him there! He's always around helping out the staff, chatting with guests, and constantly checking in on everyone & making sure everything is gucci. Also, they allow dogs, which to me is the cherry on top. All around Southernside is the place to be. 10/10 highly recommend.

Yelp
2 for 2! Went back here after riding the Swamp Rabbit and still! Everyone is so nice and the food is crazy delicious. It's so refreshing to go back to a brewery and have another positive experience. Please keep it up!! Staff, you guys are rocking it and stay positive! Thank you again.

Joe Y.

Yelp
Do NOT order with the QR code. It will take forever. They force you to tip 20% for service that takes over half an hour for a single beer.
google avatar

Story C.

Yelp
This place kicks ass. Firstly, what a great place to be. A HUGE outdoor seating area with tables and games. Loved the heaters snd fireplace. Most importantly: Outstanding beer, (we loved the cream ale and the west coast double!) and a shockingly good Bourbon list! Can't wait to come back and try their old fashion. The food is excellent: you have to try the pretzels, they are probably the best I've had in GVL. Lastly, loved the staff, and Nate the owner. So nice having a locally owned spot that also is so good!
google avatar

Bethe C.

Yelp
Very good House IPA and delicious burger. Two seasoned patties with lettuce, tomato and bacon jam. It was huge!

Trish M.

Yelp
Popped in to see "Miracle" - I went to one in Miami a few years ago and this was SO MUCH BETTER! Staff was amazing - it was a hectic day with a lot of over stimulated kids and they were all so helpful and kept their smiles in tact - bravo guys! Tried several of the drinks and we couldn't decide which one we liked the most - all came out attractive, consistent and balanced. Try any of them!
google avatar

Shelley S.

Yelp
The space alone is 5 stars. Doesn't conform to anything you think a brewery has to be. Family/pet friendly. Upscale seating and there's plenty of it. Staff friendlier than they have to be and I appreciate it. Different lines for food and beer. Everything I tasted (an imperial stout and a double IPA) excellent! Tried no food, but I wouldn't hesitate to return!
