Really good supplier! One thing I really like is that I can both dump and pick up materials in the same place . Super convenient. They also carry quality tools. I got a wheelbarrow and shovel from them that are holding up great. Right now, I’m building a fence using the panels they sold and delivered, and everything has been excellent. I strongly recommend them! Update: Finished the fence and treated it with an UV protection oil. Here are some pictures

Southlands Supply Depot is a must-visit in Vancouver for everything related to landscaping and gardening. A wide selection of high-quality materials and, above all, outstanding customer service. The staff are not only professional but also very welcoming. They take the time to talk, give advice on products and materials, and genuinely care about their customers. A serious and friendly business that I 100% recommend.

5 stars. In the middle of a growing metropolis, Southlands Soil is a gem in every way. This was my second time purchasing perfectly acceptable gardening soil. I take a ferry to Vancouver. That being said, the lads in the yard tied down my load (with my supplies/tarps), so it was highway-worthy. The cost of the ferry and soil, absolutely makes this trip worth while. The friendliness, the vast stock of landscaping supplies and the small town feeling is refreshing.

Their extremely poorly maintained trucks leak fluids all over the street, and presumably everywhere they go. They should put a little bit of money into properly maintaining their vehicles. Disgusting.

I heard great reports from professional gardeners about Southlands (I used to buy my soil, mulch, rocks from another supplier) and went to check them out. I was pleased to see a very organized site outside and in the office. I was told they carried the best quality materials and grass sod. Adriana was absolutely fantastic in helping me get the sod I needed. She was friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you so much for the amazing communication and customer service, Adriana! I also purchased turf blend and mulch which were quickly and efficiently delivered by a friendly driver. My entire experience from beginning to end was excellent. Everything you need in one place at good prices. Their garden soil is excellent, a very nice mix of clean, proper growing soil, way better than other places. I have also gotten gravel and wood chips (playground type in bags you can pick up or have delivered, so nice sized chips without shredded material that sticks to pets). Super friendly staff, deliveries were all on time and they were able to come on a Saturday. Can't say enough good things about them.

I was new to ordering bulk soil when I ordered 6 yards of turf blend and a yard of road base about a month ago. The quality was great (no plastic/debris). I was a bit nervous about the delivery because the streets around my home are very tight and there are a lot of parked cars. The staff put me at ease and let me know that they would try their best. The driver was friendly and delivered the soil/rock base perfectly. They are experts! A few weeks later, I ordered yards of river rocks. A different driver came this time and he was also fantastic- on time, dropped at the perfect spot and friendly. Scheduling with the office was easy. They were kind and helpful. I went by the shop a few times and they have great tools and other products as well. They really helped with my spring landscaping project. I highly recommend them.
