Southpacific Motel & Conference Centre

Four of us stayed for 2 nights, we were very sad to leave. Carly and KB are amazing hosts who are so ready and willing to help and give advice on the cool places to go. The room was just what we needed, clean fresh. The entire motel is so well themed and the art work is fantastic. The conference centre is a very nice touch and KB's coffees topped it off.

I stayed for four nights while I worked and went to a friend’s wedding—and I was sad to leave this place. My room was comfy and cute with its own kitchenette. But I think the best part was the incredible service from the family who runs it. I had just flown into Auckland from halfway around the world that morning, and they let me check in three hours early so I could sleep. They went above and beyond for my entire stay. Plus, the internet was super reliable, which was important for me since I was working remotely while traveling.

I stayed for a night with two friends just after Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. The room was cozy but the high ceilings made it feel very spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The place is themed with palm trees and white sand, making it feel like you've really been transported to a vacation spot. Easy to find on the corner with good parking, and located 2 minutes away the NewWorld and restaurants. The host was easy to talk to and gave suggestions on areas nearby to visit. Didn't have the chance to take advantage of the spa pool unfortunately but would absolutely come back for a longer stay.

Had the pleasure of staying at the South Pacific this weekend. I've stayed everywhere in whangamata and South Pacific is my absolute favourite! Karly and kb were lovely, warm, friendly and attentive hosts The rooms were spacious and clean with great amenities and a beautiful, beachy vibe outside. We also thoroughly enjoyed the spa pool! Highly recommend we will certainly be back 😍

Carly and KB are hosts like no other. Kind, friendly, and compassionate to a fault, they welcome you to the Southpacific like it's their own home. Their attention to detail is reflected in the cleanliness and order of the rooms, while their willingness to help their community is shown over and over and over. Whangamata is a very special place. But it's only made that way because of the special people in it. Carly and KB are utter stalwarts of this community and they are part of the reason it shines so brightly. Thank you Carly, KB, and Surfie for the work you do and for welcoming me so many times.

This establishment is well run and extremely clean. We were very impressed with the owners and their commitment to providing a comfortable, relaxed two night accommodation.|We had Unit 5, the bed was incredible. Having just come in from Vancouver we were a little Jet-lagged still. We slept soundly. It was a pleasure.

Had an awesome stay! The hosts were absolute legends—managed to sort a last-minute booking late at night, which was such a lifesaver. The place was super tidy, nice and cool (perfect for the summer heat), and had that coastal vibe that made it feel extra special. Plus, it was so close to town, which made everything easy. Would definitely stay again!

Fantastic motel run by owners who love the town and are helpful to guests. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this clean, comfortable motel.
