Southpacific Motel & Conference Centre

What a fantastic place. KB and Casey are great hosts and are making a great place to stay. A credit to themselves and Whangamata. Love the way they have got several places, restaurants, pools and a local gym ( read the blurb on their site) on board to give their guests a little more than the average motels do. Super clean and has a really nice feeling to it. Then there are heaps of touristy things to do locally. We'll be back.

This a very reasonable sized Motel with 13 rooms of various sizes and a small conference room and spa. The rooms are clean and bright even having one with wheelchair access. The first Motel I have seen that actually has a them to it based on where it is. Carly and KB are great hosts and they have great knowledge of the local area. Looking forward to staying again.

I stayed for four nights while I worked and went to a friend’s wedding—and I was sad to leave this place. My room was comfy and cute with its own kitchenette. But I think the best part was the incredible service from the family who runs it. I had just flown into Auckland from halfway around the world that morning, and they let me check in three hours early so I could sleep. They went above and beyond for my entire stay. Plus, the internet was super reliable, which was important for me since I was working remotely while traveling.

Four of us stayed for 2 nights, we were very sad to leave. Carly and KB are amazing hosts who are so ready and willing to help and give advice on the cool places to go. The room was just what we needed, clean fresh. The entire motel is so well themed and the art work is fantastic. The conference centre is a very nice touch and KB's coffees topped it off.

Great place to stay. Nice surf's up vibe and a lovely comfortable room. Location isn't exactly close to the heart and soul of Whangamata....but then, while we tried to find it, we are still not sure where Whangamata's soul really is.

Had the pleasure of staying at the South Pacific this weekend. I've stayed everywhere in whangamata and South Pacific is my absolute favourite! Karly and kb were lovely, warm, friendly and attentive hosts The rooms were spacious and clean with great amenities and a beautiful, beachy vibe outside. We also thoroughly enjoyed the spa pool! Highly recommend we will certainly be back 😍

I stayed for a night with two friends just after Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. The room was cozy but the high ceilings made it feel very spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The place is themed with palm trees and white sand, making it feel like you've really been transported to a vacation spot. Easy to find on the corner with good parking, and located 2 minutes away the NewWorld and restaurants. The host was easy to talk to and gave suggestions on areas nearby to visit. Didn't have the chance to take advantage of the spa pool unfortunately but would absolutely come back for a longer stay.

The owners were amazing so kind great people extremely accommodating rooms were big very clean will definitely be back 100% recommend
