Southside Restaurant

We ordered the sampler, save your money, definitely not worth it. For dinner we ordered 5 naked wings with their homemade BBQ. Wings were good, the homemade BBQ was solid. We also ordered the brisket pizza. It was also good. The service was very slow. But they were a bit busy. But I hate sitting with an empty beer. Hehe. Probably wouldn't go back or recommend it. Watch your water glasses 2 of our 3 were dirt. Server said it was tea stain, but whatever it was it came off with a little action from the staw.

The food here is excellent. The atmosphere is homey, and the staff treats you like a friend. What more could I ask for. The dinners here will fill you UP. You’ll be stuffed like a panda bear, but you’ll be happy. Great place!

We have been here a couple of different times and even had takeout. It has been great everytime. Today was the quietest they have been when we were here and our service was awesome! My niece and nephew's all thought our waitress, Erika, was the best waitress they have ever had!! Food was great, service great and specials were delicious. Tried pizza roll up and the kids loved it as their appetizer.

This is my first time here and I am not leaving hungry. Servings are very generous. The Food we got was phenomenal. I have recommended this place to other people and will continue to also

Co-worker and I was in town working and decided to stop here for lunch today. We didn't know anything about the place since we come from out of state. Erika our waitress was absolutely amazing and made us feel at home. She recommended the ribs which were very good. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and super clean. 5 stars across the board.

Breadsticks with the queso dip are phenomenal. Pizza was some of the best I've ever had. Smoked wings in bbq sauce were delicious but dip them in the queso dip and they are outta this world delicious. Definitely will return.

After visiting Fort Recovery, we were looking for a restaurant for lunch. Southside Restaurant is not the closest, but had great reviews We were not disappointed. There were 4 or 5 lunch specials posted on a chalkboard just inside the door. We each chose pulled pork sandwiches which come with fries for $7.00. One of us wanted onion rings for a modest up charge. We opted for water as it is a hot day and we were in a convertible.

Stopped in just for drinks. Food smelled good and the pizza looked great. Will have to go back to try the food. Mixed drinks were unique and great.

I got the Smokehouse platter. It was delicious! I stayed only in the inside dining area, which was not very big, but it was decorated nice. I will definitely be going back and I recommend this place for anyone that likes smoked meat!

Friendly, Tasty, comfortable I had their skillet meal. I was so hungry when I got there. I could have used help to be wheeled out back to my vehicle after that skillet. I didn't even have to season it with salt or pepper. It was just perfect! The staff was friendly and super attentive. The place was clean and inviting. I would definitely go back.

Nice place for family breakfast. The staff is extremely friendly and fast. We didn't wait for long. There were clean inside. We went here for breakfasts a couple of times and food was perfect. They have options for kids. Prices are fine.

Food was mediocre at best, service was slow and indifferent. Lots of loud drunk people with there children in the restaurant. Not a good look...

We were pleased by the very good BBQ right in Coldwater. Service was very slow. Good crowd even on a weeknight.

Best pizza in Coldwater Ohio. Mammoth tenderloins... servers are friendly and efficient. Patio area is roomy a fun place to go

I have been working in this great little town for a couple of months now. I have only eaten at one restaurant here and it is this one. I have heard great things about others in town, but the food here is SO GREAT that I did not want to try another place!! I have eaten here a total of 4 times and each time the food has been EXCEPTIONAL!! I have eaten the Buffalo Chicken Wrap (twice; it is amazingly good), the Pizza (like I remembered tasting pizza for the first time as a kid), and the BBQ Brisket sandwich (... I'm speechless). The service is very friendly, the place is quaint and clean, and even the Pepsi is the best fountain drink you can find (great ice too). If you come to Coldwater, OH, or if you even close by- COME EAT HERE! You will not be disappointed!!

This place has gone through a total transformation. No longer so dark and dingy, but now bright walls, a large bar, and a motorcycle in the front window. I wish there was more seating, as their food is really good, and therefore the 10 or so tables fill up fast. They do have a fenced in patio out back (although I haven't figured out how to get to it.) And a nice room in the basement you can rent out, with some booths and folding tables and chairs for a small gathering (around 30 or less). The food is delicious whether its pizza, or wings, or their appetizers. Totally recommend getting dinner here. Oh!! And they have fishbowls of beer. True story... amazing!

This is a great small-town restaurant. I've had lunch here a couple times, and plan to return. The wings are great. The stuffed mushrooms are also good. Portion size is excellent. Service is friendly, though they should check back a bit more often for drink refills.

I was just visiting town, and yelp guided me to Southside. I am so delighted. This restaurant is just what I look for when I am travelling. The atmosphere was welcoming. I sat at the bar and the waitress, Chrissy, was friendly. The other waitress was friendly too, but I did not catch her name. We chatted for a bit and I ordered the big brisket sandwich. Delectable! The meat was melt in my mouth tender, and the slaw was homemade. I had a nice conversation with a couple sitting at the bar with me. All in all exactly what I wanted from my dinner experience. It was so good that I went for dinner again. Chrissy was my waitress again, and the prime rib sandwich was even better than the brisket, although I really didn't think the brisket could be beaten! It was like saying goodbye to an old friend when I left. If I am ever in this part of Ohio again I will definitely be back!!

I'm give it only 2. I love this restaurant don't get me wrong, but something as change, the food has been burnt or way to under cooked. Or if you order food to go the order wasn't even put in to be cooked or the order was totally wrong. It feels like they r rushing to get food out and no taking the time to properly cook the food right like they use to. Where is that passion they had a year a go! Service is ok but the server never came back to check on us to see how we liked our food or refill our drinks and i sat there for about 20 minutes to get my check. Southside I hope this a wake up call! Bc I do love your food and it is great place but you need to get back into the game!

Though it is a very small place we were lucky enough to get a booth right when we walked in! The black and tan onion rings with the bistro sauce was some of the best I have had! I had the brisket dinner, very tender and delicious! My husband had the homemade tenderloin, as big as his face and very tasty! And for some reason their Diet Pepsi is some of the best! Even though it is 45 minutes away for us we plan on bringing the rest of the family again soon!
