I was honestly pretty disappointed with my experience here. I came in expecting to find authentic Native American items, but there didn’t seem to be much that was genuinely handmade or locally sourced.
What really bothered me was being told that a blanket was “authentic Native American,” while I was literally reading the tag and seeing that it was made in China. That felt misleading. If something is imported, just be upfront about it. There’s nothing wrong with selling imported goods, but don’t present them as something they’re not.
On top of that, $40 for a blanket that’s mass produced overseas seems excessive, especially when it’s being marketed as authentic. Transparency matters, especially when cultural heritage is involved.
I really hope the store becomes clearer about what is truly authentic versus what is imported.
