"The queue is long and you’ll have to eat standing up, but this spotless hole-in-the-wall does some of the best souvlaki in town. If you get antsy while you wait, be mindful of the multiple signs behind the counter saying: OXI AGXOS (NO STRESS). You won’t find frozen fries or garlicky tzatziki here. Just perfectly grilled pork skewers wrapped in a grease-free pita and garnished with sliced tomatoes, onions, parsley, a dollop of yogurt, and plenty of paprika. Don’t worry if you confuse it with the other Kostas souvlaki joint just off Agia Irini Square on Vassiliki Street, where the thing to order is pita bread stuffed with meatballs and spicy tomato sauce. Pull up a plastic chair and watch hipsters drink craft beer while you dribble tzatziki down your chin."

Great food and service! Definitely worth the wait. Was the best gyros we had in Greece and very good price too. Would definitely go back multiple times. Highly recommend if you're visiting.

Google
Authentic, delicious souvlaki, and truly warm people! We visited from Norway and absolutely loved this place. The pork souvlaki was juicy, balanced and full of fresh, honest flavor - simple food made with care. The team here is also genuinely kind and welcoming, which is exactly why this spot has been loved for generations. Thank you very much! Greetings from your Norwegian friends 🇳🇴🤝🇬🇷

Great authentic souvlaki. Pitta and pork were of high quality and garnish kept simple. So good to see an owner run business.

Google
An iconic and historical place with great souvlaki. They open at 10:25am, so google was wrong and we had to wait for a while, but it was totally worth it. The inside is full of pictures of the family, news articles and delicious smell of the food. Definitely worth a visit.

Google
Amazing souvlaki spot in Athens!! It is the most traditional, excellent service, fast and amazing price! There might be a line and just keep in mind they are limited seats inside so you will probably be doing take out.

Google
The best gyro we had in Athens for sure. The line was a 30 minute wait but worth it. We had 2 pork and 1 beef gyro, both were great. I highly recommend stopping in for this lunch, even if the line seems long. The guy on the grill is the owner and was very friendly to chat with for a brief moment.

Google
One of the oldest souvlaki place in Athens. Their space is very small and there is long queue. We didn't have time to wait and didn't get a chance to try it

Google
this place is extremely hyped. we waited for 40-50 minutes until we got our food - so the expectations were really high for the food, but then I didn’t really enjoy the pork souvlaki - expected ground meat, not skewers. once you sit down, it seems you don’t have to wait / queue again for souvlakis, which is a bit unfair for those in line - once you sit you can just order again and again. All in all it’s a good place, but the system for order handling is slow, causes huge lines, and the food in the end is not the best I had.
