Sovereign Hill Hotel

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Sovereign Hill Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, with complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate provided. Ariel at the front desk was absolutely lovely and made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning.

I just wanted to express a heartfelt thank you after our recent stay on Saturday night. This was our third time staying at your hotel, and once again, we had a fantastic experience. We felt so lucky to have been able to reserve a room during such a busy season—it made our weekend that much more enjoyable. I’d also like to give a special thank you to the team for helping me recover a pair of glasses I accidentally left behind in the room. I truly appreciate the care you took to find them and post them to my home safely and securely. It meant a lot! Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. We look forward to staying with you again in the future.

Convenient hotel at the back of Sovereign hill, perfect for an overnight visit to take in the park over one or two days. We were a family group so shared a room that accommodated two adults and two children. The room was warm and cosy and large enough for our family. The shower was a little small so if you’re a bigger person like me it was a little squeezy getting in and out, Overall a good experience to add to your Sovereign hill trip.

the hotel was pretty good the beds were nice I got to test them out VERY well 😉HOWEVER the buffet was kinda below average the waiter accidentally ( I hope ) dropped a fork on my brother Sam he is still in pain. The food Wasnt very good either no hash browns or pancakes or waffles 😭😭😭. Also no Nutella And there was also MULTIPLE hairs in our food. I do not recommend eating there. Over all the buffet experience was a 1/5 starts. And the hotel was 3/5 starts. I took 2 stars away because it was haunted and the tv was kinda broken and the toilet was also very leaky and sprained EVERYWHERE. Overall sovereign Hill was pretty good Ig. I added some photos at the bottem to show you how much hair there was. ( there are 7 hairs in the photo )

Basic, clean accommodation with nice touches like complimentary hot chocolate and biscuits in the rooms. Family accommodation was spacious, beds were comfortable, shower had great water pressure and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location with special guest access to the SH grounds avoiding queues. Highly recommended.

Hi arrived at sovereign hill Nicole meet us at reception. Booked us in showed us to our magnificent accommodation we treated as king and queen we did the night lights display that also was great after a great night's sleep in our room wich was heated by hydronic heating Nicole booked us in for our next night and a magnificent buffet breakfast were grace looked after us we were only staying 1night originally but we were treated so well by the staff we stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences at this wonderful look into Australia 's Past.

This hotel is not mobility friendly at all. We booked a room asking for a mobility impaired accessible room. We were assured that the room was mobility friendly. I walk with a walking stick. It wasn't. Access to the room was very difficult and we left after 1 night when we had booked for 3. The hotel was tired and the gardens were dry and dusty. You can barely see Souverign Hill. We received a refund and booked elsewhere. I understand it has a new manager as it really needs it.

Lovely staff and cute historical theme sort of accomodation but not what we expected. We saw photos of the breakfasts on google but sadly no breakfast when we stayed. A big beautiful empty dining area each morning, and no toaster or microwave in room or that you could use in the normal breakfast area. Would have been nice to even get to sit in there to have a cup of tea at a table as no dining table in room just little low chair. We were told there were “nearby cafes” but all involved starting the car and searching, so defeated the purpose of staying close to Sovereign Hill. Good sized room and bathroom, but not serviced properly. No clean cups, teaspoons replaced. No way to put drinking water in the fridge or make ice. No way to do even a simple breakfast or even milk for coffee after the first day. And the park doesn’t open until 10am so we were hanging out to eat by the time it opened. Soaps in bathroom were nearly empty on arrival and not topped up, so no hand-wash or shower wash after first day. Oh and the iron. Dirty & rusty.
