Sovereign Hill Hotel

We had a fantastic 2 night stay. The staff were very helpful and kind. To the security guard that checked us in after hours, to the receptionists (dealt with 3), to the breakfast staff and chef! We have dietary requirements and they went above and beyond for us. Very appreciative. The room was very very comfortable. Loved it! Will return!

Unfortunately just before arriving we got complication with our car that didn't allow us to enjoy Sovereign Hill. We had to stay at Soveregin Hill Hotel the following night so we could bring our car to mechanic the following day. Prior then, all the staff we've talk to were so nice or empathetic towards us, it was so lovely to see that especially when we ourselves were exhausted or overwhelmed. I personally have to give a big thanks to the reception lady and a lady that i believed was called Nicole (she was in the gift shop) who took out of her time to help me return a faulty item that was purchased the day before. Thank you and your kind staffs to make our stay memoriable even if it was for a little while. We'll be coming back to enjoy Sovereign Hill soon or later

Good location, right next to the Sovereign Hill, you can shortcut through the special entrance don't have to go through the main entrance. Rooms are clean and boutique, front desk reception staff were nice and helpful, buffet breakfast was simple that can make you full 😋. Will stay here in the future

The cleanliness of the rooms needs to be a point of focus, squashed cake next to fridge, empty popcorn packets on the side of the bunks, went in to bathroom with only a third of a roll, bins were emptied however food residue was still left in base of bin. All of the above was from previous visitors, Toilet constantly runs and struggles to flush. The staff were friendly and the rooms themselves were nice just lacking the acceptable cleanliness standards from other locations. Will not be returning.

Wouldn’t recommend. We stayed on the ground floor, apartment above us sounds like as though a heard of sprinting antelope are inside it running around and jumping on the beds. There isn’t event that much space in the rooms so I’m confused how so much rough housing is taking place. Windows are very thin so you can hear every car loudly. There’s no manned reception so no one to complain to. Room itself is clean and presentable and is a cross between a motel and hotel. It’s a short drive into Ballarat town so that’s good too.

Certainly not a 4-star hotel we were led to believe. Good sized room and bathroom but virtually no facilities. One teaspoon between both of us, no other cutlery or crockery. No toaster. No access to meals and the hotel was out of the way. Milk in fridge had been used and not replaced. Soaps in bathroom were virtually empty. TV dreadful.

Excellent service, comfortable, clean and we'll layed out rooms, not too squished which is good to see! The staff were very polite, warm and welcoming.

Good hotel ambience, like military barracks in the past situation. The location is behind the sovereign hills and easy to access to and from sovereign hills and hotel. Good hotel for the family.
